Tesis ini membahas pengaruh penegathuan dan penggunaan MKJP terhadap fertilitas pada remaja putri usia 15-24 tahun yang sudah kawin. Penerapan program KB sebagai langkah mengontrol fertilitas diIndonesia sudah dijalankan namun belum mencapai target total fertility rate (TFR) yang dicanangkan pemerintah Indonesia sendiri, kondisi ini berbeda dengan capaian contraceptive prevelance rate (CPR) yang bahkan telah melampaui target, salah satu peneyebabnya adalah masih masih rendahnya pengetahuan dan penggunaan metode kontraspsi MKJP sebagai pilihan alat kontraspsi yang paling baik dibandingkan yang lainnya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional, sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 1396 orang. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara pengetahuan dan penggunaan MKJP terhadap fertilitas remaja putri kawin di Indonesia setelah dikontrol varibel jumlah anak ideal dengan OR sebesar 3,4 kali, sehinggah perlu adanya peningkatan kualitas pelayanan KB khususnya MKJP terutama pada kalangan remaja usia 15-24 tahun.
The focus of this study is discusses about the effects of long-term contraception (MKJP) on fertility in young women aged 15 to 24 who are married. The implementation of the family planning program until now can’t control the fertility in Indonesia, and can’t reached the target by Indonesia government, seen from the TFR in Indonesia until now was 2.4. This condition differs from reaching the level of contraceptive use (CPR), which is higher than the goal, one of the causes is still low expectations of knowledge and attitudes using the MKJP contraceptive method as the choice of the best contraceptive tool compared to others. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, sampel in this research was 1396 respondent. The results have a relation signifikan between and the use of MKJP on the fertility of married female adolescents in Indonesia after control the ideal number of children with OR 3.4-fold, so goverment must in order to improve the quality of KB expecially MKJP services.
