Abstrak
Pratik kerja pada Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Indonesia memiliki risiko tinggi bagi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) untuk para guru, siswa, tenaga pendidik dan warga sekitar. Pada beberapa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan, masih didapati beberapa laporan kecelakaan kerja seperti terjatuh, terkena cairan kimia, terpeleset, luka bakar,dan patah tulang terkena mesin. Salah satu penyebab kecelakaan kerja adalah rendahnya komitmen dan pengetahuan siswa tentang penerapan budaya K3, sehingga mereka tidak terbiasa dalam menerapkan perilaku aman saat bekerja atau praktik. Tujuan penelitian untuk memperoleh gambaran terkait gambaran awal budaya K3 di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Kota Bandung dan Cimahi tahun 2023. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif observasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggambarkan dan menganalisis implementasi K3 pada SMK di Kota Bandung dan Cimahi yang mengkaji dimensi organisasi, manusia dan teknologi. Lokasi penelitian di 6 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Kota Bandung dan Cimahi. Sampel penelitian meliputi siswa, guru dan tenaga pendidikan, sedangkan informan penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah atau kepala program jurusan di SMK. Hasil penelitian adalah gambaran awal budaya K3 di keenam SMK di kota Bandung dan Cimahi adalah sudah cukup baik
Work practices in Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Indonesia have a high risk for occupational safety and health (K3) for teachers, students, educators and local residents. In several Vocational High Schools, there are still several reports of work accidents such as falls, exposure to chemical fluids, slips, burns, and broken bones hit by machines. One of the causes of work accidents is the low commitment and knowledge of students about the application of OSH culture, so they are not accustomed to applying safe behavior when working or practicing. The research objective was to obtain an overview regarding the initial picture of OSH culture in Vocational High Schools (SMK) in the cities of Bandung and Cimahi in 2023. The research method is descriptive observational with a quantitative and qualitative approach. This study describes and analyzes the implementation of OSH at SMKs in the cities of Bandung and Cimahi which examines the organizational, human and technological dimensions. Research locations in 6 Vocational High Schools in Bandung and Cimahi. The research sample included students, teachers and educational staff, while the research informants included school principals or heads of departmental programs at SMKs. The results of the initial picture of OSH cultur in six Vocational High Schools in the cities of Bandung and Cimahi are quite good.
