Abstrak
Proyek konstruksi Depo Light Rail Transit (LRT), Jatimulya, Bekasi, merupakan tempat kerja konstruksi dengan area yang terbuka sehingga terpajan langsung oleh panas matahari. Bahaya panas ini dapat mengakibatkan pekerja konstruksi mengalami dehidrasi dan mengalami keluhan/gangguan kesehatan lainnya. Penelitian ini melihat hubungan antara dehidrasi (berdasarkan tingkat berat jenis urin) dan keluhan/gangguan kesehatan akibat pajanan panas pada pekerja. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian cross-sectional dan melihat data sekunder pada 183 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 51,37% responden mengalami dehidrasi (tingkat berat jenis urin >1,020) dan 48,63% responden tidak mengalami dehidrasi (tingkat berat jenis urin ≤1,020). Persentase responden yang mengalami banyak keluhan/gangguan kesehatan akibat pajanan panas ada 55,19%, sedangkan responden yang mengalami sedikit keluhan/gangguan kesehatan akibat pajanan panas ada 44,81%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan p-value<0,05, yang berarti ada hubungan antara tingkat berat jenis urin dan keluhan/gangguan kesehatan akibat pajanan panas pada pekerja. Keluhan/gangguan kesehatan akibat pajanan panas yang paling banyak dirasakan responden adalah banyak keringat (70,49%), lemas (68,85%), dan cepat haus (68,31%). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, perlu dilalukan upaya pengendalian keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja di proyek konstruksi depo LRT untuk mengurangi dampak pajanan panas agar pekerja tidak mengalami dehidrasi serta meminimalisir keberadaan keluhan/gangguan kesehatan akibat pajanan panas pada pekerja.
Depo Light Rail Transit (LRT) construction project, Jatimulya, Bekasi, is a construction site with an open area that is directly exposed by sunlight’s heat. This heat hazard may cause dehydration and heat-related symptoms/illnesses to the construction workers. This research aims to analyze the correlation between dehydration (based on urine specific gravity) and heat-related symptoms/illnesses in those construction workers. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional method by using an available secondary data of 183 respondents. The result shows that 51,37% respondents experienced dehydration (urine specific gravity >1,020) and 48,63% respondents did not experienced dehydration (urine specific gravity ≤1,020). The percentage of the respondents who perceived a high number of heat-related symptoms/illnesses is 55,19%, while the percentage of those who perceived a low number of heat-related symptoms/illnesses is 44,81%. The result shows p-value<0,05, which means there is a correlation between urine specific gravity and heat-related symptoms/illnesses in those construction workers. The most occurring heat-related symptoms/illnesses perceived by the respondents are heavy sweating (70,49%), exhaustion (68,85%), and thirstiness (68,31%). Based on these results, occupational health and safety programs need to be enabled at Depo LRT construction project to reduce the impact of heat hazard so that the construction workers are not experiencing dehydration as well as minimalize the occurrence of heat-related symptoms/illnesses on those workers.
