Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui determinan perilaku higiene menstruasi pada siswi kelas 7, 8, dan 9 SMPN 19 Kota Tangerang tahun 2023. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Data primer diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 185 siswi. Perilaku higiene menstruasi merupakan variabel dependen. Variabel independen meliputi pengetahuan, sikap, kepercayaan, ketersediaan sarana higiene menstruasi di sekolah, dan dukungan teman sebaya. Pengisian kuesioner dilakukan secara mandiri oleh responden dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa proporsi tertinggi terdapat pada perilaku higiene menstruasi yang kurang baik sebesar 87,6%. Sedangkan persentase siswi yang sudah memiliki perilaku higiene menstruasi baik hanya 12,4%. Uji chi-square mengindikasikan adanya hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan, sikap, dan ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana higiene menstruasi di sekolah dengan perilaku higiene menstruasi. Rekomendasi penelitian mencakup optimalisasi pengadaan pembalut di sekolah, peningkatan ketersediaan tempat sampah tertutup di kamar mandi, serta kerjasama dengan puskesmas untuk penyuluhan dan penyebaran informasi melalui berbagai media.
This research aims to identify the determinants of menstrual hygiene behavior among female students in grades 7, 8, and 9 at SMPN 19 Kota Tangerang in 2023. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. Primary data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to 185 female students. Menstrual hygiene behavior is the dependent variable. Independent variables include knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, the availability of menstrual hygiene facilities at school, and peer support. The questionnaires were filled out using the self-administered method and the data were analyzed using the Chi-square test. The analysis indicates that the highest proportion is found in inadequate menstrual hygiene behavior at 87.6%. Meanwhile, the percentage of female students who already have good menstrual hygiene behavior is only 12.4%. The Chi-square test suggests a significant relationship between knowledge, attitude, and the availability of menstrual hygiene facilities at school with menstrual hygiene behavior. Research recommendations include ensuring provision of sanitary napkins in schools, increase the availability of covered waste bins in bathrooms, and establishing collaboration with health centers for improving health education activities and various media.
