Abstrak
Kelelahan kerja (fatigue) merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menurunkan human performance serta meningkatkan risiko human error dan kecelakaan kerja, khususnya pada industri konstruksi yang memiliki karakteristik pekerjaan dengan tuntutan fisik dan mental yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kelelahan kerja serta hubungan antara kelelahan kerja dan human performance pada pekerja konstruksi PT X. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan melibatkan 219 pekerja konstruksi PT X yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi faktor terkait pekerjaan (durasi kerja, shift kerja, beban kerja, pekerjaan monoton, dan reward) serta faktor tidak terkait pekerjaan (indeks massa tubuh, waktu tempuh, usia, kualitas tidur, dan kuantitas tidur). Tingkat kelelahan kerja diukur menggunakan Fatigue Assessment Scale for Construction Workers(FASCW), sedangkan human performance diukur menggunakan instrumen Human Performance dari U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan Uji Regresi Logistik Ordinaluntuk menganalisis hubungan faktor-faktor dengan kelelahan kerja serta Uji Mann–Whitney untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kelelahan kerja dan human performance. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 187 pekerja (85,4%) mengalami kelelahan kerja. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara durasi kerja (OR=2,61; 95% CI: 1,20–5,76), beban kerja (OR=32,37; 95% CI: 9,40–111,48), pekerjaan monoton (OR=10,42; 95% CI: 3,07–35,39), indeks massa tubuh (OR=3,93; 95% CI: 1,68–9,19), waktu tempuh (OR=2,38; 95% CI: 1,10–5,17), usia (OR=3,44; 95% CI: 1,58–7,50), kualitas tidur (OR=3,20; 95% CI: 1,41–7,29), dan kuantitas tidur (OR=2,53; 95% CI: 1,18–5,42) dengan kelelahan kerja, sedangkan shift kerja (OR=1,42; 95% CI: 0,67–3,01) dan reward (OR=0,83; 95% CI: 0,34–2,05) tidak berhubungan dengan kelelahan kerja. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kelelahan kerja dan human performance (p<0,001), di mana pekerja yang mengalami kelelahan cenderung memiliki human performance yang lebih buruk dibandingkan pekerja yang tidak mengalami kelelahan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kelelahan kerja pada pekerja konstruksi PT X berhubungan dengan berbagai faktor terkait pekerjaan maupun faktor tidak terkait pekerjaan serta berhubungan dengan penurunan human performance. Oleh karena itu, pengelolaan kelelahan kerja perlu menjadi bagian dari program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja melalui pengendalian faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kelelahan kerja guna meningkatkan keselamatan, kesehatan, dan human performance pekerja.
Occupational fatigue is one of the major factors contributing to decreased human performance and an increased risk of human error and workplace accidents, particularly in the construction industry, where work is characterized by high physical and mental demands. This study aimed to analyze the factors associated with occupational fatigue and to examine the relationship between occupational fatigue and human performance among construction workers at PT X. This study employed a cross-sectional design involving 219 construction workers at PT X selected through purposive sampling. The variables examined included work-related factors (working hours, shift work, workload, monotonous work, and reward) and non-work-related factors (body mass index, commuting time, age, sleep quality, and sleep duration). Occupational fatigue was assessed using the Fatigue Assessment Scale for Construction Workers (FASCW), while human performance was measured using the Human Performance instrument developed by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially using Ordinal Logistic Regression to examine the associations between the studied factors and occupational fatigue, and the Mann–Whitney test to analyze the relationship between occupational fatigue and human performance. The results showed that 187 workers (85.4%) experienced occupational fatigue. Significant associations were found between occupational fatigue and working hours (OR=2.61; 95% CI: 1.20–5.76), workload (OR=32.37; 95% CI: 9.40–111.48), monotonous work (OR=10.42; 95% CI: 3.07–35.39), body mass index (OR=3.93; 95% CI: 1.68–9.19), commuting time (OR=2.38; 95% CI: 1.10–5.17), age (OR=3.44; 95% CI: 1.58–7.50), sleep quality (OR=3.20; 95% CI: 1.41–7.29), and sleep duration (OR=2.53; 95% CI: 1.18–5.42). In contrast, shift work (OR=1.42; 95% CI: 0.67–3.01) and reward (OR=0.83; 95% CI: 0.34–2.05) were not significantly associated with occupational fatigue. Furthermore, occupational fatigue was significantly associated with human performance (p<0.001), with fatigued workers demonstrating poorer human performance than those who were not fatigued. This study concludes that occupational fatigue among construction workers at PT X is associated with both work-related and non-work-related factors and is significantly associated with decreased human performance. Therefore, fatigue management should be integrated into occupational safety and health programs by addressing the factors associated with occupational fatigue to improve workers' safety, health, and human performance.
