OR = 1,513) dan kepuasan kerja (p-value = 0,001. Job stress has a significant negative impact on workers performance. This is because workers facing high levels of stress must divert time and energy from their tasks to cope with the stress, resulting in a decline in worker performance (Chen et al., 2022; Conceo&ccedil;&atilde;o & Palma-Moreira, 2025). To further understand the relationship between these two aspects, the authors conducted a study on the relationship between job stress levels and the performance levels of office workers at institution X in 2026. Institution X was selected as the object of the study because as it is a government agency that does not yet have an OHS division and has not measured job stress in the past five years. The study was conducted using quantitative methods with a cross-sectional study design. Based on the results of the analysis using the chi-square test and odds ratio (OR) on data collected from 121 respondents, it was found that the risk factors of role ambiguity (p-value = 0.000. OR = 1.513) and job satisfaction (p-value = 0.001. OR = 5.646) had a significant relationship with work stress. This study produced a main finding, which differs from previous studies, that work stress did not have a significant relationship with the level of performance of workers in agency X (p-value = 0.761). This finding strengthens the understanding that the relationship between work stress and performance is complex, contextual, and cannot be simplified into a rigid cause- and-effect relationship. The results of this study can enrich insight and knowledge regarding the relationship between work stress and worker performance.</div>
