Tesis ini meneliti tentang faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadianmedical error oleh dokter di RS. XYZ Palembang, yang meliputi faktorkarakteristik dokter, faktor pasien dan faktor lingkungan kerja. Penelitian iniadalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa faktor jenis spesialisasi dokter memiliki hubunganbermakna dengan kejadian medical error oleh dokter, dimana dokter spesialismedik operatif dan dokter umum lebih sering melakukan medical errordibandingkan dokter spesialis medik non operatif. Faktor usia dan masa kerjadokter, faktor kenyamanan lingkungan kerja, dan faktor kompleksitas penyakitpasien tidak memiliki hubungan yang bermakna dengan kejadian medical erroroleh dokter di RS.XYZ Palembang.Kata kunci : Medical Error, Dokter, Faktor Penyebab

This research examines the factors assaciate with the medical errors events bydoctors at the hospital XYZ Palembang, which include doctors characteristicfactors, patient factors and work environment factors. This is a quantitative studywith a cross-sectional design. Results showed that type of physicians specialitieshave a significant relationship with the medical errors events by doctors. WhereasOperative medical specialists and general practitioners have more frequent ofdoing medical errors than non-operative medical specialists.
