Penelitian ini membahas tentang gambaran penerapan sistem proteksi aktif, pasif,keselamatan jiwa, serta sistem tanggap darurat kebakaran. Tujuan penelitian iniadalah untuk mengetahui gambaran penerapan sistem proteksi aktif, pasif,keselamatan jiwa, serta sistem tanggap darurat kebakaran yang dilihat berdasarkanPeraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum yang dilengkapi dengan standar NationalFire Protection Association. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitiandeskriptif melalui metode observasi, telaah dokumen, dan wawancara tidakterstruktur untuk mengetahui penerapan sistem proteksi di plant paper mesin (PM)B. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem proteksi aktif, pasif,keselamatan jiwa, serta sistem tanggap darurat kebakaran belum seluruhnyamemenuhi standar.Kata kunci:Sistem proteksi aktif dan pasif, keselamatan jiwa, sistem tanggap darurat,Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum, NFPA

This research discusses about overview the application of active and passiveprotection systems, life safety, and emergency response of fire at plant papermachine (PM) B. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of activeprotection systems, passive, life safety, fire and emergency response are seenbased on the Minister of Public Works, incorporating the National Fire ProtectionAssociation standards. This research used descriptive research throughobservation, review of documents, and unstructured interviews to determine theapplication of protection system at plant paper machine (PM) B.
