Berdasarkan data Centre for Internasional Trade Thailand (2012), kualitastenaga profesi praktisi medis Indonesia ditempatkan pada kualitas menengah.Liberalisasi jasa kesehatan akan menimbulkan daya saing luar terhadap pelayanankesehatan di Indonesia, karena bukan tidak mungkin penyelesaian masalahkesehatan di Indonesia membutuhkan tenaga kesehatan asing untuk mengatasimasalah kesehatan di Indonesia.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi secara mendalam,menguraikan dan menganalisis kompetensi praktisi medis dalam era masyarakatekonomi ASEAN. Informan penelitian merupakan dari beberapa organisasi yangterkait dengan peningkatan kompetensi praktisi medis. Penelitian ini merupakanpenelitian kualitatif dan dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari- Mei 2016 oleh peneliti.Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer melalui wawancara mendalam denganmenggunakan panduan wawancara mendalam dan telaah dokumen. Wawancaraakan dilakukan oleh peneliti.Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan personal skill, keterampilan dan eksplisitknowledge dokter Indonesia dalam hal kompetensi medik tidak kalah saing dengandokter negara anggota ASEAN lainya, tetapi dalam hal kompetensi pelayananmasih harus diperbaiki kembali agar pasien Indonesia tidak keluar ke pasar asing.Kata kunci: Keywords: Personal Skill, Kemampuan, Eksplisit Knowledge, MEA,Kompetensi Dokter

The informants are from several organizations associated withincreased competence of medical practitioners . This research is qualitative andimplemented from February through May 2016 by researchers . This study usesprimary data through in-depth interviews using guidelines depth interviews andreview documents.
