Seribu Hari Pertama Kehidupan merupakan masa kritis dan penting untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Asupan gizi yang tidak optimal pada masa ini dapat meningkatkan risiko terjadinya stunting. Pemberian MPASI sumber protein hewani perlu diperhatikan karena mengandung asam amino esensial dan mikronutrien dalam jumlah yang tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pemberian MPASI sumber protein hewani dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan pemberian MPASI sumber protein hewani di Jawa Barat pada tahun 2017. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional dengan sampel sebanyak 463 ibu yang memiliki bayi berusia 6-23 bulan di Jawa Barat. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan seperangkat komputer. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, 73% atau 338 bayi mendapatkan MPASI sumber protein hewani. Pekerjaan ibu [OR = 0,624; 95% CI: 0,402-0,971], tingkat pendidikan [OR = 2,45; 95% CI: 1,172-5,126], status ekonomi [OR = 2,3], konsultasi antenatal care [OR = 1,822; 95% CI: 1,045-3,177], jenis kelamin anak [OR = 0,623; 95% CI: 0,410-0,948 ], usia anak [OR = 4,528; 95% CI: 2,929-7,001] berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pemberian MPASI sumber protein hewani. Usia anak merupakan faktor dominan pemberian MPASI sumber protein hewani. Peneliti menyarankan adanya penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai MPASI sumber protein hewani dengan mempertimbangkan aspek lain.
The First Thousand Days of Life is a critical and important period for a child's growth and development. Suboptimal nutritional intake during this period can increase the risk of stunting. The provision of complementary feeding with animal-sourced protein needs to be considered as they contain essential amino acids and high amounts of micronutrients. The aim of this study was to determine the overview of complementary feeding with animal-sourced protein and the factors associated with its provision in West Java in 2017. The research design used was cross-sectional with a sample of 463 mothers who had infants aged 6-23 months in West Java. Data analysis was performed using a computer software package. Based on the results of data analysis, a total of 73% or 338 infants received complementary feeding with animal protein sources. Maternal occupation [OR = 0.624; 95% CI: 0.402-0.971], educational level [OR = 2.45; 95% CI: 1.172-5.126], economic status [OR = 2.3], antenatal care consultation [OR = 1.822; 95% CI: 1.045-3.177], child's gender [OR = 0.623; 95% CI: 0.410-0.948], and child's age [OR = 4.528; 95% CI: 2.929-7.001] significantly influenced the provision of animal-sourced protein complementary food. Child's age was found to be the dominant factor in the provision of animal-sourced protein complementary food. Further research on animal-sourced protein complementary food considering other aspects is recommended by the researcher.
