Berdasarkan analisa multivariate umur istri > 35 tahun memiliki odds ratio 2 kali lebih besar terjadi kejadian berhenti pakai kontrasepsi dibandingkan umur istri 21-35 tahun (OR adj 2,150; 95%CI= 2,041 – 2,265). ABSTRACT Background : Trends of prevalence contraceptive rates is increasing in the last few years. However, the discontinuation of contraceptives prevalence is still stagnant. Goals : To obtain factors influencing discontinuation of contraceptives in couples of childbearing age 10-49 years. Methode : Population this research are women of childbearing age 10-49 years who are married. Sample in this research are all couples of childbearing age of 10-49 years who had ever used contraception and using contraception. The data was analysed using statistic test of logistic regression multivariate use SPSS version 15. And STATA version 10. The analysed used primary sampling unit and weight to adjust based on survey design. Result : Proportion of discontinuation of contraceptives in women of childbearing age 10-49 years is 32%. In comparison between regions, the highest prevalence of discontinuation of contraceptives is on outer Jawa Bali II (33,6%) than outer Jawa Bali I (32,9%) and Jawa Bali (30,5%). The most frequent reason of discontinuation of contraceptives are : do not need contraceptives (31%), want to have child (26%), fear of side effects (14%) and do not want anymore (10%). Based on the multivariate analysis show odds ratio of discontinuation of contraceptives is twice as higher among married women age above 35 years compare to the younger group (OR adjusted 2,150;95% CI=2,041-2,265). The odds ratio of discontinuation of contraceptives is also higher among couples who have less children (0-1 child) compare to those who has 3 or more children (OR adjusted 1,486;95% CI=1,373-1,568). Couples who have children in the same sex have higher discontinuation of contraceptives than couples who have both male and female children (OR adjusted 1,398;95% CI=1,333-,466). Conclution : The main contributing factors of discontinuation of contraceptives are age of wife, number of children and sex composition of children with the control variables education of husband and wife, living area, household expenditure per capita, wife’s menstrual history, and wife and husband’s health knowledge. Exclusively breastfeeding have an important role to maintain health and thesurvival of the infant. However, the prevalence of exclusively breastfeeding inIndonesia particularly in the urban areas is quite low. Meanwhile, the incidence ofunintended pregnancy in Indonesia is quite high. This research aims to know thedescription of unintended pregnancy and its association to exclusively breastfeeding. Research is using cross sectional design study which use thesecondary data analysis of National Basic Health Research 2010.
Results of theanalysis found that most of the mothers in urban areas were not exclusively breastfeed their baby and the incidence of unintended pregnancy is quite high. After controlled by maternal age, maternal employment status, parity, antenatalcare, and immediate breastfeeding, mothers with unintended pregnancy were lesslikely to breastfeed their baby if their age were under 20 and above 35 years old, unemployed, and did not access adequate antenatal care, whereas mothers weremore likely to breastfeed if their age were 20-35 years old, employed, and did notaccess antenatal care.

Millennial are the largest composition in Indonesia. The role of IEC is very strategic with more diverse media choices in campaigning for family planning programs. This study aims to analyze the relationship of communication, information and education with the use of modern contraception in millennial generation women in Indonesia. This study uses data from the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) in 2002/2003 and 2017. The sample in this study is that women aged 22-37 years are married in the 2002/2003 IDHS as a nonmillennial generation group and women aged 22-37 years are married at the 2017 IDHS as a millennial generation group. This study uses logistic regression analysis. The results showed that millennial women who received family planning information through health workers had a 1.8 times greater chance (95% CI: 1.69-2.04) to use modern contraception than women who did not receive family planning information through health workers. And millennial women who have been exposed to family planning messages from television have a 1.1 times greater chance (95% CI: 1.07-1.24) to use modern contraception than women who have never been exposed to family planning messages from television.

Background: Indonesia faces population problems such as a high number and rate of population growth with a total fertility rate (TFR) which is bigger than ASEAN average and ideal standard of TFR. The utilization of contraception, especially LAPMs, is one of program to ensure the implementation of family planning program. However, based on the results of the 2017 IDHS, there was only 13.4% of women used LAPMs. And from year to year, the utilization of contraception in Indonesia is still dominated by female users compared to men, especially in MKJP, namely 13.2% of them are female users and only 0.2% are male users. This study aims to examine the association between women's empowerment and the utilization of long-acting and permanent contraceptive (LAPMs) among married women aged 15-49 years in Indonesia based on analysis of IDHS data 2017. Methods: This study was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design and uses secondary data (2017 IDHS data). The dependent variables of this study is the utilization of LACPMs with the main independent variables were women's empowerment. Descriptive, bivariate and stratified analysis were used to see the description of each variable and to examine the association between the dependent and independent variables and to examine the confounding variables between them. Result: Empowered women had 1.15 [95% CI=1.03-1.27] times higher risk of using MKJP than powerless women. The result of this study also found that women's education and household wealth index are confounding variables in the association between women's empowerment and the utilization of LACPMs. Conclusion: The utilization of LACPMs which is low is one of the public health challenges in Indonesia. The association between women's empowerment and the utilication of LACPMs can be taken into considerations for government agencies to develop health by focusing on the role of women.
