Iron deficiency anemia among pregnant women can be corrected with iron supplementation programs. According to Riskesdas data in 2018, pregnant women who took iron tablets with the recommendation (90+ tablets) were only 38.1%. Several studies state that factors that influence pregnant women not to comply with taking iron tablets are pregnant women starting ANC visits in the second and third trimesters, visiting ANC less than four times, and getting ANC services that are not up to standard. The third factor is a measure of the quality of ANC visits. This study aims to determine the relationship between the quality of antenatal visits and adherence to iron supplements consumption of pregnant women in Indonesia in 2017. The design of this study was cross-sectional using the 2017 IDHS data. The sample of this study was women of childbearing age 15-49 years who met the inclusion criteria of 12,230. Data analysis used complex sample. The results of the multivariate analysis showed the relationship between the quality of antenatal visits and adherence to iron supplements consumption of pregnant women in Indonesia after controlling for economic status, place of residence, and pregnant examiners. Pregnant women who had high and sufficient quality ANC visits had higher adherence to consumption than pregnant women who had less quality ANC visits with OR values of 4.3 (95% CI: 3.46-5.37) and 2.7 (95% CI: 2.27-3.25).
More than 90% of cases of children infected with HIV are transmitted through the process of mother-to-child transmission. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between the regularity of antenatal care and HIV testing in pregnant women in Indonesia based on data from the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas). This study was an observational survey method (cross sectional) using data sourced from Riskesdas in 2018. The sample was women. of childbearing age in Indonesia who have a history of pregnancy and were selected as Riskesdas respondents in 2018 and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample size in this study was 12,383 respondents. The dependent variable in this study was HIV testing for pregnant women, the main independent variable was the regularity of antenatal check-ups (ANC) and the covariates were age, place of residence, education, work status, parity, knowledge of HIV, attitudes towards people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). ), 10T antenatal care, health workers (nakes) who provide services and health facilities (faskes) where mothers check for pregnancy. The variables of regularity of antenatal check-ups and variables of health facilities have almost the same effect in influencing the low coverage of HIV testing in pregnant women. There were 1.8 times more HIV tests in women who had regular pregnancy check-ups in urban areas and 2.2 times more in rural areas compared to those who did not regularly check for pregnancy. Furthermore, HIV tests for mothers who regularly check for pregnancy are found to be 1.5 times more checked at the hospital, 2.8 times are checked at the puskesmas and 2.2 times are checked at the clinic/independent practice compared to those who do not regularly check for pregnancy. Suggestions to health workers and MCH program managers to improve the regularity and completeness of Antenatal services and increase the availability of HIV testing facilities
This study analyzes the role of satisfaction, knowledge and access of pregnant women to antenatal care with a visit K4 in Kecamatan Anyer, Serang Distric. The Formula for this research problems originated from non-fulfillment of K4 visit from national scale to village scale, although the government has launched a program called ?Jampersal? that take care the problems of financing maternal health during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
Based on previous research, two hypotheses were formulated to address the problems in this study. Sampling techniques using simple random sampling followed by a proportional random sampling. Respondents in this study were 90 respondents, who respondent is the mother who has given birth in period of 0-6 months and ever visited to midwives during pregnancy in Kecamatan Anyer.
The results of the analysis of the data showed that the pregnant women who is have a good knowledge will have the opportunity to have K4 visits 3.6 times higher (95% SK: 1.15 to 11.28) compared with women who have less knowledge, after controlling the age, location services, access, and, satisfaction variables.
Analysis on Relationship between Socio-demographic Characteristics and Pregnant Mother's Knowledge with Utilization of Antenatal Care in Two Areas of Donggala District, Central Sulawesi Province 2001The objective of National Health Development is to improve the quality of human resources and to improve the quality of life. Those improvements are to be started early at life and heavily depend on the quality of pregnant and maternal health. At the present time, Maternal Mortality Rate in Indonesia is 373 per 100.000 life births (SKRT, 1995). In general, these deaths could be prevented if the maternal complication and other high risk situations could be detected early through good antenatal care. According to Green, predisposing, enabling, and reinforcing factors influence the behavior of antenatal care utilization. This study focused on predisposing factors, which is socio-demographic characteristics and mother's knowledge. This study was conducted in working area of Donggala Health Office, which is divided into two areas, that is area with high antenatal coverage (K1 > 90% and K4 > 80%) and area with low antenatal coverage (K1 < 90% and K4 < 80%). Design of the study is non-experimental with cross-sectional approach. Subjects were 192 pregnant mothers comprised of 94 pregnant mothers in "high ANC area" and 98 pregnant mothers in "low ANC area". Subjects were chosen in a simple random sampling way. Data on independent variables (age, education, current employment, parity, marital status, and mother's knowledge) were collected by face-to-face interview, while data on antenatal variable was collected through both interview and document study on pregnant mother's KMS (health record card). The study found that in general, the proportion of pregnant mother who utilize antenatal care well was 29.7%, while those who utilize antenatal care poorly was 70.3%. In "high ANC area", pregnant mothers who utilize antenatal care well were 29.6% and those who utilize antenatal care well in "low ANC area" were 29.8%. The Chi-square results exhibited no significant association (p > 0.05) between ANC utilization with age, education, and parity. However, significant association was found between ANC utilization with employment status and mother's knowledge (both in general or partial based on area). The logistic regression showed that the most dominating factor that influences ANC utilization in "high ANC area" is knowledge (OR = 3.3161), while in "low ANC area" it is mother's employment status (OR = 21.6495).The study came into conclusion that the utilization of antenatal care in Donggala District was still very low in both general and partial (based on different ANC coverage). Therefore, there is need to improve extension and promotion to pregnant mothers in order to improve their knowledge on the usefulness of antenatal care.
