Balita gizi kurang merupakan keadaan gizi pada balita dengan berat badan menurut tinggi badan atau berat badan menurut panjang badan pada Z-score -3 SD sampai dengan <-2 SD atau lingkar lengan atas (LiLA) 11,5 cm sampai dengan <12,5 cm. Pada tahun 2021, prevalensi wasting di Provinsi Banten melebihi angka nasional yaitu sebesar 7,9%. Bahkan di Kota Serang jauh lebih tinggi sebesar 11,4%. Sedangkan Kecamatan Serang merupakan penyumbang prevalensi gizi kurang tertinggi di Kota Serang dengan angka 30,71%. Tata laksana balita gizi kurang yang menjadi program Kementerian Kesehatan dengan memberikan makanan tambahan berbahan pangan lokal yang dilaksanakan salah satunya di Kecamatan Serang, Kota Serang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan peningkatan status gizi pada balita gizi kurang usia 12-59 bulan dalam program pemberian makanan tambahan berbahan pangan lokal di Kecamatan Serang tahun 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional dengan sampel balita gizi kurang usia 12-59 bulan berjumlah 130 balita yang telah mengikuti program pemberian makanan tambahan berbahan pangan lokal di Kecamatan Serang tahun 2022. Variabel independen meliputi faktor balita (usia, jenis kelamin, ASI eksklusif, PMT berbahan pangan lokal, konsumsi energi, konsumsi protein, konsumsi protein hewani, konsumsi protein nabati, penyakit infeksi dan imunisasi) dan faktor orang tua (pendidikan ibu dan pendapatan). Uji statistik yang digunakan pada uji bivariat menggunakan chi square dan uji multivariat menggunakan regresi logistik ganda model determinan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat balita yang status gizinya naik sebanyak 56,2%. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pemberian makanan tambahan berbahan pangan lokal (p-value = 0,012), konsumsi energi (p-value = 0,001), penyakit infeksi (p-value = 0,020) dan pendapatan (p-value = 0,003). Analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa faktor dominan yang berhubungan dengan peningkatan status gizi adalah konsumsi energi (OR = 3,600). Balita dengan konsumsi energi kurang berisiko 3,6 kali lebih tinggi status gizinya tidak naik dibandingkan balita yang mengonsumsi cukup energi setelah dikontrol oleh variabel PMT berbahan pangan lokal, konsumsi protein, konsumsi protein hewani, penyakit infeksi, imunisasi dan pendapatan. Perlunya perbaikan pola pemberian makan dan asupan makanan yang baik dalam jumlah dan kualitasnya untuk menunjang tumbuh kembang balita dan meningkatkan kewaspadaan jika terjadi masalah gizi pada balita.
Wasted is a nutritional condition in children under five with weight for height Z-score or weight for length Z-score of -3 SD to <-2 SD or upper arm circumference of 11.5 cm to <12.5 cm. In 2021, the prevalence of wasting in Banten Province exceeded the national rate at 7.9%. In Serang City, it was even higher at 11.4%. Meanwhile, Serang sub-district contributed the highest prevalence of wasted in Serang city with 30.71%. The management of wasted children, which is a program of the Ministry of Health by local food-based supplementary feeding program is implemented one of them in Serang District, Serang City. The purpose of this study was to identify factors associated with improving nutritional status in underweight children aged 12-59 months in the local food-based supplementary feeding program in Serang District in 2022. This study used a cross sectional study design with a sample of wasted children aged 12-59 months totaling 130 children who had participated in the local food-based supplementary feeding program in Serang District in 2022. Independent variables included children factors (age, sex, exclusive breastfeeding, local food-based supplementary feeding program, energy consumption, protein consumption, animal protein consumption, vegetable protein consumption, infectious diseases and immunization) and parental factors (maternal education and income). Statistical tests used in bivariate tests using chi square and multivariate tests using multiple logistic regression determinant models. The results showed that there were children whose nutritional status improved by 56.2%. There was a significant relationship between local food-based supplementary feeding program (p-value = 0.012), energy consumption (p-value = 0.001), infectious diseases (p-value = 0.020) and income (p-value = 0.003). Multivariate analysis showed that the dominant factor associated with improved nutritional status was energy consumption (OR = 3.600). Children with insufficient energy consumption had a 3.6 times higher risk of not improving their nutritional status compared to children who consumed enough energy after controlling for the variables of local food-based supplementary feeding program, protein consumption, animal protein consumption, infectious diseases, immunization and income. It is necessary to improve feeding patterns and food intake both in quantity and quality to support the growth and development of children and increase vigilance in the event of nutritional problems in children under five.
Masalah kekurangan gizi pada balita usia 12–59 bulan masih menjadi tantangan besar di Indonesia, termasuk di Kota Depok. Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT) Berbasis Pangan Lokal merupakan salah satu upaya intervensi yang dilakukan pemerintah untuk memperbaiki status gizi anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pemberian PMT Pemulihan Berbasis Pangan Lokal dan faktor-faktor lain terhadap kenaikan berat badan balita di Puskesmas Cimpaeun Kota Depok Tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel terdiri dari 71 balita usia 12–59 bulan yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan data sekunder dari Puskesmas.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 60,6% balita mengalami kenaikan berat badan yang adekuat setelah mengikuti program PMT Pemulihan Berbasis Pangan Lokal. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kesesuaian pemberian PMT Pemulihan Berbasis Pangan Lokal dengan kenaikan berat badan balita (p = 0,027; OR = 4,464; 95% CI: 1,155–17,252), yang berarti balita yang menerima PMT Pemulihan Berbasis Pangan Lokal tidak habis memiliki risiko 4,464 kali lebih besar untuk mengalami kenaikan berat badan yang kurang dibandingkan dengan balita yang menerima PMT habis terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara infeksi dengan kenaikan berat badan (p = 0,015). Balita yang mengalami infeksi memiliki kecenderungan lebih tinggi untuk mengalami kenaikan berat badan. Sementara itu, variabel seperti pola makan, pendidikan ibu, pengetahuan, pola asuh, kunjungan posyandu, dan PHBS tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kenaikan berat badan balita.
Malnutrition among children aged 12-59 months remains a major challenge in Indonesia, including in Depok City. Local Food-Based Supplementary Feeding (PMT) is one of the government's intervention efforts to improve children's nutritional status. This study aims to determine the relationship between the provision of Local Food-Based Recovery PMT and other factors on toddler weight gain at the Cimpaeun Health Center in Depok City in 2024. This study used a cross sectional design with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 71 toddlers aged 12-59 months who were purposively selected. Data were collected through questionnaires and secondary data from the health center. The results showed that 60.6% of toddlers experienced adequate weight gain after participating in the Local PMT program. There was a significant association between the appropriateness of the provision of local PMT and weight gain (p = 0.027; OR = 4.464; 95% CI: 1.155-17.252), meaning that toddlers who received inadequate local food-based recovery PMT had a 4.464 times greater risk of underweight gain compared to toddlers who received inadequate PMT. There was a significant association between infection and weight gain (p = 0.015). Infected toddlers had a higher tendency to gain weight. Meanwhile, variables such as diet, mother's education, knowledge, parenting, posyandu visits, and PHBS did not show a significant relationship with toddler weight gain.
The purpose of this study was to determine correlation of biological environment,family, and clean and healthy lifestyle factor on underweight of children under five.The cross sectional study design was conducted during March-Mei 2013. Therespondent were mothers of children. Total sampel were 91 children age 12-59months. Variables that significantly correlated with underweight were energy intake(p value 0,024 and OR 4,792), exclusive breastfeeding (p value 0,039 and OR 3,45),routinity of weighing in Posyandu (p value 0,016 and OR 3,5), routinity of washinghands with soap (p value 0,012 and OR 3,6) and using healthy latrine (p value 0,04and OR 2,867). The prevalence of PEM elderly in nursing homes higher than in non-nursing homes, and the prevalence reached 32.97% on a government-ownedsocial houses in Jakarta. This study aims to assess how much the weight gaineffect through the provision of dates-tempeh biscuits and also dates cassavamodified and canavalia ensiformis biscuits .PEM in the elderly Social InstitutionTresna Werdha (PSTW) Budi Mulia 1,2, 3 and 4 of Jakarta.The study design wasquasi-experimental with single-blind measurement techniques. The respondentsamounted to 42 elderly that consist of 21 in treatment group I whom were givendates-tempeh biscuits and 21 elderly in treatment group II that were given cassavamodified and canavalia ensiformis mixed with dates biscuits, with inclusioncriteria are 60 years and over, have a body mass index < 18.5 kg / m² and ≥ 6months as nursing residents. Anthropometric measurements were taken before andafter the intervention. The results show an increase in body weight before andafter the intervention for 1 month in the treatment group I was 0.68 kg (P<0.05).There is growth and significant changes, averages macro nutrient intakeafter the intervention in the treatment groups. Salah satu masalah kesehatan yang masih menjadi beban di negara-negara berkembang, seperti di Indonesia adalah masalah gizi buruk dan gizi kurang pada anak balita. Hal ini berkaitan dengan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang rendah dengan timbulnya berbagai masalah kesehatan. Bila hal itu dibiarkan di masa yang akan datang, akan semakin banyak anak yang tidak dapat menyelesaikan program wajib belajar sebab IQ nya rendah. Anak balita gizi buruk memiliki IQ 13 poin lebih rendah dibandingkan anak normal. Hasil penimbangan balita di kota Bogor pada tahun 2004, menunjukkan bahwa balita gizi buruk sebesar 0,4% dan gizi kurang 8,9%. Pengalaman di Laboratorium Pusat Penelitian Pengembangan Gizi dan Makanan (Lab P3GM) menunjukkan bahwa untuk perbaikan status gizi balita gizi buruk dengan tanda klinis (DTK) lebih lama dibanding tanpa tanda Minis (TTK). Status gizi buruk DTK adalah apabila gizi buruk tipe marasmus, kwashiorkor, dan marasmik kwashiorkor. Sedangkan status gizi buruk TTK adalah bila secara antropometri BBILI - 3 SD atau BB/TB - 2 SD, maka dikategorikan gizi buruk. Selama ini belum diketahui faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi buruk balita DTK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pemberian makanan dan ASI serta faktor lain terhadap status gizi buruk balita DTK yang datang le Lab P3GM tersebut. Juga diketahuinya faktor dominan yang berpengaruh pada status gizi buruk anak balita DTK. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder, dengan disain penelitian Cross Sectional. Data yang digunakan berasal dari data anak balita gizi buruk yang mengikuti rawat jalan di Lab P3GM. Seluruh balita yang berkunjung pada tahun 2004-2005 yang datanya lengkap untuk analisis ink dan sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian ini, yaitu sebanyak 74 anak. Analisis data yang dilakukan meliptiti analisis kai kuadrat dan analisis multivariat dengan nienggimakan analisis Regresi Logistik Ganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa persentase jumlah gizi buruk balita DTK lebih besar (67,6%) dibanding balita GB= TTK (32,4%). Di antara anal( balita gizi buruk DTK, ternyata lebih banyak anak gizi buruk dengan tipe marasmus (56,S%), disusul marasrnik kwashiorkor. (8,1%) don kwashiorkor (2,7%). Pembezian ASI berhubungan bermakna dengan status gizi buruk anak balita DTK. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ASI merupakan faktor yang paling dominan berhubungan dengan kejadian status gizi buruk anak balita ILK setelah dikontrol oleh faktor umur balita dan status anemia. Anak balita yang tEdak mendapat ASI mempunyai peluang untuk menderita gizi buruk DTK 7,616 kali (OR= 7,616; 95% CI: 1,578-36,750) dibandingkan balita yang masih mendapat ASI setelah dikontrol variabel umur balita. Promosi pemberian ASI secara benar pada ibu-ibu dari balita gizi buruk perlu diprioritaskan Promosi. ASI tersebut di antaranya, menyusui eksklusif selama 6 bulan dan meneruskan pemberian ASI hingga usia 2 tahun.
One of the health problem which is still being a burden in developing countries, including Indonesia, is malnutrition in underfive children. It related to the low quality of human resources with the occurrence of many health problems and if it is occurred, in the future will be many children not being able to graduate from their compulsory education program caused of their low IQ. Severe malnutrition children are 13 pains lower than normal children in IQ level. Children weighing result in Bogor 2004, showed that underfive children with severe malnutrition were 0,4% and moderate malnutrition were 8,9%. The experience in Food and Nutrition Development Research Center Laboratory (Lab P3GM) result is to improve the nutrition status of severe malnutrition in under five children with clinical sign (WCS) is longer than without clinical sign (WoCS). The WCS severe malnutrition are severe malnutritions with marasmus, kwashiorkor and marasmic kwashiorkor types. Whereas the severe malnutrition WoCS is if in antropomically WIA - 3 SD or WIH - 2 SD, therefore categorized as severe malnutrition. Until now, the factors that influence the WCS children with severe malnutrition are still undetectable. Research that aims to find the relationship between food and breast feeding gift along with other factors of WCS chidren with severe malnutrion status that came to the Lab P3GM. Also known the dominant factor which influenced the WCS children with severe malnutrition. This research uses secondary data of cross sectional research design. The children's data which suffered severe malnutrition and took the away treatment at Lab P3GIvL The amount of all underfive years chidren visited in 2004-2005 and had the complete data for this analysis and also suitable with the inclusive and exclusive criteria that made as examples in this research were 74 children. The data analysis that done, the chi square analysis and multivariate analysis. Analysis result describes the some of WCS children with severe malnutrition are bigger (67,6%) than severe malnutrition WoCS (32,4%). Between severe malnutrition WCS children, apparently, there were more severe malnutrition children in marasmus type (56,8%), followed by marasmik kwashiorkor (8,3%) and kwashiorkor (2,7%). Breast feeding gift is related to the WCS children status of severe malnutrition. The result of multivariate analysis described that breast feeding gift to children was the most dominant factor related to the WCS children status case of severe malnutrition after having been controlled by the children age and anaemic status factors. Underfive children that do not get breast feeding gift, having risk of suffering WCS severe malnutrition 7,616 times (OR = 7,616; 95% Cl : 1,578 -- 36,750) compared with children that still having the breast feeding after controlled according to children's age variables. Promotion of breast feeding gift correctly, to all mothers of underfive children with severe malnutrition, needs to be given priority. The promotion is an exclusive breast feeding for 6 months and until 2 years old.
Kadar seng dalam darah anak balita merupakan indikator yang paling tepat untuk menentukan status seng pada manusia. Defisiensi seng pada anak balita berkaitan erat dengan gangguan pertumbuhan, imunitas tubuh menurun, gangguan pada kulit, disfungsi kognitif dan anoreksia sedangkan kelebihan seng dapat berakibat degenerasi otot jantung, muntah, diare, demam dan anemia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan model prediksi terhadap status seng dalam darah pada anak balita (6-59 bulan) di Propinsi Maluku tahun 2007. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah analisis data sekunder Studi Masalah Gizi Mikro di Indonesia dengan rancangan penelitian cross sectional (potong lintang) pada bulan Juni-Juli 2012. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 351 anak balita (6-59 bulan). Pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan Uji T Independen dan Uji Korelasi untuk bivariat sedangkan untuk multivariat menggunakan Uji Regresi Linear dengan Model Prediksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi defisiensi gizi mikro di Propinsi Maluku Tahun 2007 masih merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat dimana prevalensi defisiensi seng sebesar 39,6%, prevalensi defisiensi vitamin A sebesar 27,4% dan prevalensi anemia sebesar 39%. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara kadar retinol dalam darah, kadar hemoglobin dalam darah, dan status kesehatan anak dengan kadar seng dalam darah anak balita. Hasil uji multivariat menunjukkan bahwa variabel kadar retinol dalam darah, kadar hemoglobin dalam darah, status kesehatan anak dan pendidikan ibu dapat digunakan untuk menentukan kadar seng dalam darah anak balita adalah. Hasil penelitian menyarankan untuk menggunakan kadar hemoglobin dan kadar retinol sebagai prediksi kadar seng dalam darah, memberikan perhatian khusus terhadap program penanggulangan masalah gizi mikro, meningkatkan konsumsi zat gizi mikro sesuai dengan AKG serta disarankan untuk dapat melakukan penelitian gizi mikro tingkat nasional secara berkala.
Zinc levels in the blood of underfive children are the most appropriate indicator to determine the zinc status in humans. Zinc deficiency in underfive children are closely related to impaired growth, decreased body immunity, skin disorders, cognitive dysfunction and anorexia while excess zinc can cause heart muscle degeneration, vomiting, diarrhea, fever and anemia. This study aims to obtain a predictive model of zinc levels in the blood of underfive children (6-59 months) in Maluku in 2007. The design of this study is secondary data analysis of Micronutrient Problem Studies in Indonesia with a cross sectional study design. The size of sample are 351 underfive children (6-59 months). Processing and data analysis using Independent T Test and Simple Correlations and Regression Test for bivariate analysis, while for the multivariate analysis using Correlations and Regression Linear Test Prediction Model. The results showed that the prevalence of micronutrient deficiencies in the province of Maluku in 2007 still a public health problem which the prevalence of zinc deficiency by 39.6%, vitamin A deficiency by 27.4% and anemia by 39%. Results from bivariate analysis showed significant correlation between retinol and hemoglobin levels in the blood, and children health status with zinc levels in the blood of underfive children. The results of the multivariate test showed that variable into the linear regression model to determine levels of zinc in the blood of underfive children are the levels of retinol in the blood, hemoglobin levels in the blood, children health status and maternal education. The results suggested to using retinol level and hemoglobin levels as a predictor of zinc levels in the blood, giving special attention to micronutrient program, to increase consumption of micronutrients in accordance with the RDA, and micronutrient research at national le
