The level of dietary adherence in Indonesia is still low. Diet in maintaining food is often become an obstacles because the patient is still tempted by all food that can worsen their health. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that associated with dietary adherence in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. This study was using a cross-sectional design. The samples studied were all type 2 diabetes mellitus type 2 with the age range 25-65 years was outpatient, samples were taken with non-random sampling method with purposive sampling of 130 people. Data were collected through anthropometric measurements, filling-out questionnaires, 1x24 hour food recall and dan (semi- quantitative food frequency questionnaire) SFFQ form. The results showed 13.8% of respondents were diet-compliant. There were significant relationship between gender (p=0.008) and length of suffering (p=0.044) with between dietary adherence. The result of logistic regression test showed that the duration of suffering is the dominant factor associated with dietary adherence in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Type 2 diabetes mellitus patients were expected to pay attention to the diet recommended and carry it out well, to actively to improve the knowledge related to the disease diabetes mellitus and related to the other factors and still preserve diet that has been run for who has long been suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Lung Tuberculosis (Lung TB) still remains a community health problem, WHO estimates that in Indonesia, there are approximately 450,000 new cases annually with 175,000 death every year SKRT results of 1995 show that tuberculosis is the third cause of death following cardiovascular and respiratory disease and it is of the first cause of infection diseases. In South Sumatera Province, Lung TB Eradication Program with DOTS strategy has been introduced in the province since 1995. Data gathered from districts/cities indicate that the figure of healing is 82.98°/° and the figure of identified patients is 26.7%, At Dr. Moehamad Hoesin Central General Hospital of Palembang of 1998/1999, the conversion figure of 84,16% is higher than the national figure of 80%.However the figure of healing is only 76.19%, below the national figure of 85%. Disobedience to undertaking medical treatment is reportedly to be the cause of failure of Lung TB Eradication Program. This study is aimed at investigating factors that correlate with patients' obedience to undertaking treatment of Lung TB Positive BTA in Dr.Moehamad Hoesin Central General Hospital in Palembang in 1998 - 2000. The study design employed was controlled case with sample of 186 respondents. The sample criteria used were those samples were Lung TB Positive BTA patients of Category 1 and 2 who had taken their medicines and aged more than 14. registered since August 1998 until December 2000 in Internal Diseases Unit of Polyclinic of the hospital, Dr. Moehamad Hoesin Central General Hospital is the first hospital in the South Sumatera province introducing Lung TB Eradication Program with DOTS strategy. Result of univariat analysis shows that of 186 respondents, 124 patients (66.7%) were obedient and 62 (333%) were disobedient. The respondents consisted of 130 males (69.9%), 135 (71.8%) patients of productive age (16-45), poorly educated people of 146 (61.3%), working people of 100 (53.8%). The bivariat result indicates that of ten independent variables, only four variables considered potential as risk factor (p<0.25).The multivariat result shows that by using Logistic Regression method, of the four independent variables taken as models, only one variable proven to have the most significant correlation (p<0.05), which was supervisor taking medicine (PMO) OR=3.457.95%: 1.644-7.269, p value = 0, 0011. It may be concluded that factors that correlate with patients' obedience to undertaking Lung TB positive BTA treatment at the hospital during 1998 - 2000 are PMO factor and health education by health worker; these are having statistically significant correlation (p<0.05) with the patients' obedience to undertaking Lung TB treatment. While the most significant influence on the dependent variable was the supervisor-taking-medicine (PMO) factor. It may be recommended that the supervisor-taking-medicine factor be sustained; continuous training be provided for cadres, family members, Woman's Club of the city/district/village, and health workers; and management skills of officials in Lung TB Program of the hospital be improved continuously. The health education by health workers for patients and community on Lung TB disease should be sustainable provided by means of poster, flyers, manual book. The health department of South Sumatera Province should keep providing anti Tuberculosis medicines of category 1, 2, and 3.
The World Health Organization (WHO) predicts an increase in the number of people with diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the global health threats. The predicted increase in the number of people with diabetes in Indonesia from 8.4 million in 2000 to around 21.3 million in 2030.Diabetics and its complications bring huge economic losses to diabetics and their families, the national health system and economy through direct medical costs, lost work and income. Low adherence to medication can result in an increased risk of treatment costs, an increased risk of complications and the risk of hospitalization. Identification of the factors associated with low patient compliance with DM treatment is the aim of this study so that this study is expected to provide solutions and strategies to improve treatment adherence. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design. The data used in this study are secondary data from Riskesdas 2018 throughout Bali Province with logistic regression analysis and the size of the relationship is expressed in the prevalence odds ratio (POR) with α = 0.05. In the multivariate analysis, the final model that relates to adherence to DM treatment in Bali in 2018 is statistically namely work (POR 1.164 95% CI 1.019-1.329 p-value 0.002), residence (POR 0.864 95% CI 0.764-0.978 p-value 0.021 ), gender (POR 0.816 95% CI 0.717-0.929 p-value 0.002), and age (POR 0.779 95% CI 0.665-0.912 p-value 0.002) while the level of education was not statistically significant
