Welding work has a complex variety of hazards, including the dangers ofultraviolet rays B. Impact of danger is damaging to eyes and skin on thebody of workers, (Winiarto et al. 2013). According to the AmericanWelding Society, the acute effects of exposure to ultraviolet (UV) lightcovers photokeratitis. This research on welding operator 52 authorizedworkshops along Jalan Raya Setu Bantar Gebang, Mustika Jaya Bekasi, found the 39 carriers with photokeratitis cases (75% of the population). Thisresearch was conducted using the method of survey and data collected bycross sectional. The survey was conducted using questionnaires, observationand interviews and conducted a visual inspection to determine therespondent experienced photokeratitis. UV radiation measurements usingUV-B Light Meter conducted to determine the level of UV-B rays whichexposes the welding operator. One factor that is strongly linked to the caseof high-intensity UV-B radiation with an average of 99.2 μW / cm2. Otherfactors such as age, years of work, the exposure time and distance to thesource of welding have shown a significant relationship as well, but the useof PPE does not have a significant relationship to the case photokeratitis.

The participation of informal sector workers in Depok City in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Workers Social Security) program remains very low, indicating suboptimal protection for this group. This study aims to describe and analyze the relationship between behavioral determinants and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participation among informal sector workers in Depok City in 2025. This research used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach involving 116 informal workers in Depok City, selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed both online and onsite at Pos UKK and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that more than half of the informal workers had not registered for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (50.9%). Most informal workers were women, of productive age, and married. The study found that gender, knowledge, perceived susceptibility, perceived barriers, BPJS premium costs, motivation, family support, and environmental support were significantly associated with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participation among informal workers in Depok City in 2025. Strategic efforts that consider these factors are needed to improve the coverage of social security protection for informal workers. In addition, several risk factors were identified that require further attention, including number of family members, knowledge of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, perceived vulnerability, perceived severity, access to BPJS services, premium costs, and workers’ economic status.
