Abstrak:
Asbes merupakan nama yang diberikan untuk kelompok dari enam serat mineral berbeda yang terjadi secara alami di lingkungan. Dalam dunia industri, terkadang masih ada yang menggunakan Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) sebagai insulasi dan gasket. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT X Tahun 2011. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui lokasi, kondisi ACMs, serta nilai risiko ACMs. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara bulk sampling, dan diidentifikasi menggunakan Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan core-cutter untuk memperoleh sampel dengan berdiameter 2-3 cm. Dari hasil bulk sample sebanyak 42 sampel, diketahui ada 18 sampel signifikan ACMs dan 24 sampel non-ACMs. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan monitoring dan pengelolaan terhadap ACMs tersebut.
