The purpose of this study was to determine the factors (predisposing factors suchas age, knowledge about HIV AIDS, attitudes towards condom use, enablingfactors are exposure to HIV AIDS program and the availability of condoms,reinforcing factor is the existence of peer support groups associated with thepractice of the use of condoms on transsexuals in Tangerang city in 2015. Thisstudy used cross sectional design with a sample totaling 151 transvestites taken ofthe total sample and questionnaire as a measuring tool of the study. The results ofthis study showed that 55.6% of respondents always use a condom, 56.3 % of thesame age to 30 years, 57.6% good knowledge, 51.7% negative attitudes towardcondom use, 53.6% are exposed to HIV AIDS program, 62.3% providedcondoms, 76.2% no peer support groups. According to chi square test there arefour variables that have a significant relation to the practice of condom use ontranssexuals that knowledge about HIV AIDS, exposure to HIV AIDS program,the availability of condoms, and peer support. The most dominant factor is theexposure of HIV-AIDS program to the practice of the use of condoms on atranssexual.Keywords: transvestites, condoms, HIV AIDS
Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan sikap petugas puskesmas terhadap Orang Dengan HIV-AIDS (ODHA) di Kota Bandung melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan data primer di empat puskesmas (Salam, Kopo, Pasundan, dan Ibrahim Adji/Kiaracondong) di Kota Bandung pada bulan Oktober - Nopember 2010. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 59.6% petugas puskesmas bersikap positif terhadap ODHA. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan sikap petugas puskesmas terhadap ODHA adalah pengalaman menolong ODHA dengan nilai p=0.016 (OR: 4.827, 95%CI: 1.343-17.349). Artinya, petugas puskesmas yang pernah menolong ODHA akan memberi sikap positif terhadap ODHA sebesar 4.8 kali lebih tinggi dibandingkan petugas puskesmas yang belum pernah menolong ODHA setelah dikontrol variabel dukungan rekan kerja. Hasil penelitian kualitatif ditemukan informasi tentang sikap negatif petugas Puskesmas terhadap ODHA dan mutasi petugas Puskesmas yang mengganggu kelancaran pelayanan kesehatan HIV-AIDS di Puskesmas.
The study was designed to explore the relationship of the factors of health center providers attitude toward People Living with HIV-AIDS (PLWH) in HIV-AIDS Care, through quantitative and qualitative approach using primary data in four health centers (Ibrahim Adjie/Kiaracondong, Kopo, Pasundan, and Salam) in Bandung in October - November 2010. The result showed 59.6% health center providers had positive attitude toward PLWH. Only one factor was significant related to attitude of health center providers toward PLWH with p=0.16 (OR: 4.827, 95% CI: 1.343-17.349). Meaning, there was 4.8 chance for health center providers who had helped PLWH having positive attitude toward PLWH compared with those who never helped PLWH. The qualitative study found negative attitude of health centre providers toward PLWH and mutation of health centre providers was the problem in HIV-AIDS care at health centers in Bandung.
Schizophrenia relapses is a problem that occurs in SingkawangMental Hospital, WestKalimantan Province. The number of patients with schizophrenia who relapseincreased every month. Based on the data, there was an increase of cases fromJanuary (48 cases), February (55 cases), and March (60 cases).The aims of this study isto find out information about the relapse overview inschizophrenia patients at Singkawang West Kalimantan Province in the year of2014.The study design used is a qualitative method. The study was conducted inMay-June 2014.In-depth interviewstechniques was used for data collection.The results showed there are five variables that influence the occurrence of relapse,ie family support (knowledge, attitudes,culture, stigma)and drug compliance. Thereare families still treat the patients with rude and only pay attention to take hismedication alone but in fact there are still people who do not regularly takemedication. While in the case of the comparison which is to the patient's family, justthe opposite is happening. While in the both groups, the handling look the difrent inevery cultures.Family therapy program is needed at the SingkawangMental Hospital, WestKalimantan Province.Keywords :schizophrenia relapses, family support, families of relapse and not-relapse patients
The efforts of care for people with HIV/AIDS implemented in Hospitals MawarClinic dr. Abdul Aziz, Singkawang, West Kalimantan province since 2004 untilnow. Mawar clinic is one of the purposes of referral for patients with HIV/AIDSwho came from the District of Sambas and Bengkayang which was the borderregion between Indonesia with Malaysia.Design research with cross sectional was held to analyze the mobile vct servicesrelationship with adherence/compliance people with HIV/AIDS in the treatmentof Mawar ART at the clinic since 2004 until February 2016. Of the entire peoplewith HIV/AIDS are in clinical on register the Mawar note that only 55,9% aredoing the treatment of ART while the complience or adhere to ART amounting to24,5%. For a univariate analysis was carried out, the analysis of missing data, themultivariate analysis bivariat and to know the description ofadherence/compliance people with HIV/AIDS in the treatment of ART.Multivariate analysis using logistic regression test showed that the static VCTservices was a protective factor for mobile VCT services for people with HIV /AIDS to adhere to antiretroviral treatment is influenced by education, place ofresidence , ethnicity and duration of ART .Keywords: HIV / AIDS, ART, adherence, vct.
