This study aims to determine the factors associated with the frequency of consumption of fast food among students of SMAN 35 Jakarta. The dependent variable in this study is the frequency of fast food consumption and the independent variables are Online Food Ordering, gender, knowledge of nutrition and fast food, fast food preferences, pocket money, emotional eating behavior, peer group influence and the social media influence. This is a quantitative study with cross-sectional design. This study conducted in April 2020 at SMAN 35 Jakarta with a total of 164 respondents who selected with stratified random sampling method. Data were collected through filling out questionnaires online. The data obtained were then analyzed by univariate, bivariate analysis using chi-square, and multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression tests. The results show that as many as 73,8% of the respondents had a high level of fast food consumption ie consuming fast food > 3 times per week. The results also showed that Online Food Ordering habits, knowledge of nutrition and fast food, emotional eating behavior, peer group influence and social media influence were related to adolescent fast food consumption. Multivariate analysis shows knowledge of nutrition and fast food as the dominant factors related to fast food consumption in adolescents. This study suggest the school to collaborate with Public Heath Center or Health Service Office to increase education to students regarding healthy eating behavior and in accordance with the guidelines for balanced nutrition.

Mi instan adalah salah satu makanan yang populer di dunia, terutama kawasan Asia. Menurut World Instant Noodles Association (WINA) pada tahun 2023, Indonesia menduduki posisi kedua permintaan mi instan tertinggi. Masa remaja merupakan masa peralihan yang memiliki banyak perubahan dalam aspek kehidupan, termasuk mengenai pemilihan makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan konsumsi mi instan berdasarkan perilaku membaca label ING, pengaruh teman sebaya dan faktor lainnya pada siswa SMAN 34 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 125 responden yang ditentukan melalui metode purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengisian SQ-FFQ dan kuesioner oleh responden di sekolah. Pengolahan dan
analisis data dilakukan menggunakan program Microsoft Excel dan IBM SPSS Statistics. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 64,8% siswa di SMA memiliki konsumsi mi instan yang tinggi (≥ 1 kali/minggu). Analisis lanjutan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan proporsi yang signifikan antara persepsi harga produk dan pengaruh teman sebaya dengan konsumsi mi instan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, siswa disarankan untuk bijak konsumsi mi instan dengan memperhatikan frekuensi, jumlah mi instan yang dikonsumsi, serta penambahan bahan makanan seperti protein dan sayur. Sekolah dan orang tua juga memiliki peran yang penting untuk mengawasi serta mengarahkan remaja dalam pemilihan makanan yang baik.
Instant noodles are one of the most popular foods in the world, especially in Asia. According to the World Instant Noodles Association (WINA) in 2023, Indonesia ranked the second highest demand for instant noodles. Adolescence is a transitional period that has many changes in aspects of life, including food choices. This study aims to determine differences in instant noodle consumption based on ING label reading behavior, peer influence and other factors among students of SMAN 34 Jakarta. This research used a cross-sectional study design with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 125 respondents who were determined through the purposive sampling method. Data collection was conducted by filling out the SQ-FFQ and questionnaires by respondents at school. Data processing and analysis were conducted using Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS Statistics programs. The results showed that 64,8% of students in high school had high instant noodle consumption (≥ 1 time/week). Further analysis showed that there was a significant proportion difference between perceived product price and peer influence with instant noodle consumption. Based on the results of the study, students are advised to consume instant noodles wisely by paying attention to the frequency, the amount of instant noodles consumed, and the addition of food ingredients such as protein and vegetables. Schools and parents also have an important role to supervise and direct adolescents in choosing good food.
