Drug management is one important aspect of hospital management. This study is aiming at analysing drug management in pharmacy unit National Stroke Hospital Bukittinggi. This case study was using qualitative approach. The study revealed that drug management and monitoring controlling were not well performed. A high percentage of drug stock out in 2017 was found 7,6% out of 421 drugs item each month, while number of expired drugs was high, reaching 10,45% compared to 0% as target.. Planning to prioritize purchasing of drugs using VA, EA and NA drug need to implement in order to prevent stock out. To avoid expired drug, hospital need to purchased based on ROP and Safety Stock. VA group is the highest priority that include 10 drug item where NS 500 cc infusion fluid is the top one in the group. NS 500 cc infusion fluid would need Safety Stock as much as 23.400 number as Safety Stock and ROP 34.860.

Manajemen farmasi yang efektif berperan krusial bagi operasional rumah sakit, serta memengaruhi statusnya sebagai cost center atau revenue center. Rumah Sakit Utama merupakan rumah sakit di wilayah kepulauan yang sering menghadapi tantangan dalam variabilitas waktu pengiriman obat, sehingga IFRS Utama memerlukan sistem logistik farmasi yang baik untuk menjamin ketersediaan obat secara efisien. Penelitian ini menganalisis sistem perencanaan dan pengendalian obat di RS Utama saat ini, sekaligus mengevaluasi potensi peningkatannya dengan mensimulasikan penerapan metode ABC Indeks Kritis (yang mengklasifikasikan obat menjadi kategori A, B, C berdasarkan data penggunaan periode Oktober 2024 – Maret 2025) yang dikombinasikan dengan perhitungan safety stock, reorder point, dan economic order quantity secara spesifik untuk obat Kategori A. Model perencanaan dan pengendalian perbekalan farmasi usulan ini kemudian disimulasikan dan kinerjanya dibandingkan dengan metode yang saat ini digunakan oleh rumah sakit, dengan evaluasi terfokus pada dampaknya terhadap nilai persediaan dan Inventory Turnover Ratio (ITOR) obat kategori A Indeks Kritis. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa metode yang diusulkan, berpotensi menghasilkan penurunan substansial pada rata-rata nilai persediaan serta peningkatan ITOR . Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi empiris dan landasan strategis bagi RS Utama dalam upaya optimalisasi sistem manajemen logistik farmasi, guna meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan menjamin ketersediaan obat secara lebih efektif.

Effective pharmaceutical management is vital, determining whether the pharmacy as a cost or revenue center. For Utama Hospital, operating in an archipelagic region with variable drug delivery times, a highly efficient pharmaceutical logistics system at its Pharmacy Installation is essential for ensuring consistent and efficient drug availability. This study, therefore, analyzes Utama Hospital's current drug planning and control system, exploring potential improvements by simulating a new model that integrates an ABC-Criticality Index classification with calculations for safety stock, reorder point, and economic order quantity (EOQ). To achieve this, the research methodology involved analyzing drug usage data (October 2024 – March 2025), classifying drugs into categories A, B, and C using an ABC-Criticality Index approach, and then calculating key inventory parameters—safety stock, reorder point, and EOQ—specifically for Category A drugs. The proposed pharmaceutical supply planning and control model, incorporating these parameters, was subsequently simulated. Its performance was then benchmarked against the hospital's current methods, with a focused evaluation on changes to inventory value and the Inventory Turnover Ratio (ITOR) for these critical Category A drugs. The simulation revealed that the proposed method holds strong potential for substantially decreasing average inventory value while significantly boosting the ITOR. This research aims to offer an empirical contribution and strategic framework, enabling Utama Hospital to optimize its pharmaceutical logistics for enhanced operational efficiency and more effective, timely drug availability. Tesis ini merupakan suatu penelitian di bidang manajemen pemasaran rumah sakit, khususnya rnengenai segmenting, targeting, positioning dan diferensiasi produk layanan, yang bertujuan untuk peningkatan angka kunjungan pasien umum pada unit rawat map RS Karya Husada, dengan analisis kualitatif dan pendekatan deskriptif. Selain itu juga dipaparkan survei persepsi dan preferensi Dokter akan susana rawat inap sebagai tempat merujuk di wilayah cakupan layanan RS Karya Husada. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memperdalam pengetahuan tentang segmen pasar rawat inap umum di RS Karya Husada sehingga dapat secara lebih tajam membidik pasar sasarannya untuk dituangkan dalarn suatu penetapan dan pernyataan posisi, yang akan dipergunakan sebagai dasar membuat diferensiasi layanannya sebagai strategi untuk pengembangan RS Karya Husada kedepan. Sangat disarankan untuk perlu segera dibuat suatu reneana strategis pemasaran yang komprehensif, dan penerapan CRM (Customer Relationship Management) yang terintegrasi dengan baik diseluruh unit rawat map RS Karya Husada.
The focus of this research is hospital marketing strategic, especially subjected to segmenting, targeting, positioning and service product differentiation that has an aim to increase the number of general patient visitation at inpatient unit of Karya Husada Hospital in Cikampek, Karawang, through a qualitative descriptive interpretive. The perception and preferences of the medical doctors about hospital inpatient facilities in the service scoop area of Karya Husada Hospital was also included. It is hoped that this research could enhance the knowledge regarding the segment market of general inpatient units at Karya Husada Hospital so that it is able to aim its market target sharply, which will be realized into a decision and positioning statement and use it as the basic to produce Service differentiation as the strategy of Karya Husada Hospital's future development. It is highly recommended to make a necessary plan of comprehensive marketing strategy immediately and the implementation of well integrated CRIVI (Customer Relationship Management) at all inpatient wilts of Karya Husada Hospital.
