Abstrak: Angka kematian ibu di Indonesia masih tinggi dibanding dengan negara- negara Asia Tenggara. Rendahnya cakupan persalinan oleh tenaga kesehatan merupakan salah satu penyebab tingginya AKI. Cakupan persalinan tenaga kesehatan di Kecamatan Bantan tahun 2012, 78,1% (target SPM 90%). Tujuanpenelitian untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang berhubungan dengan pemilihan tenaga kesehatan sebagai penolong persalinan di wilayah kerja UPTD Kesehatan Puskesmas Kecamatan Bantan Kabupaten Bengkalis. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel 290 dari 793 ibu bersalin padatahun 2012. Di analisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Sebanyak 33,3% persalinan ditolong oleh dukun bayi. Terdapat 5 variabel yang berhubungan dengan pemilihan penolong persalinan oleh tenga kesehatan, yaitu pendidikan ibu(p=0,000 dan OR= 5,000), pengetahuan ibu (p=0,000 dan OR=6,191), riwayat pemeriksaan kehamilan (p=0,000 dan OR=6,270), pendapatan keluarga (p=0,000dan OR=3,375) dan dukungan dari keluarga (p=0,033 dan OR=2,231). Sedangkan umur, paritas dan biaya persalinan tidak berhubungan dengan pemilihan tenaga kesehatan sebagai penolong persalinan. Disarankan kepada pihak Puskesmas Kecamatan Bantan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu dan masyarakat tentangKIA melalui kelas ibu hamil, kerjasama lintas sektor untuk revitalisasi kemitraan dukun bayi dan bidan.Kata Kunci : Penolong persalinan, Angka Kematian Ibu

Maternal and infant mortality rate in Indonesia is still high compared withother countries in Southeast Asia. The low utilization at medical labour attendants(midwives) is one of the factors contributed to the high rates. The coveragenumber of labour by medical attendants in Bantan District is 78,1% (target SPM90%). This study aims at determine the factors associated with the selection ofmedical professional as the labour attendants in the area of Occupational HealthDistrict Health Clinics UPTD Bantan. This study is a quantitative cross-sectionaldesign. The sample was taken from 290 women who giving birth in January toDecember 2012. Data are collected by descriptive analysis techniques andanalysis of the relationship between two variables. Research findings show thatthere is a big involvement of Traditional Birth Attendants as birth attendants(33.3%). The results of the analysis of the relationship of five variables show thatEducation (p = 0.000 and OR=5,000), Knowlegde (p = 0.000 and OR=6,191),Ante Natal Care (p = 0.000 and OR=6,270), Income Family (p = 0.000 andOR=3,357) and Family Support (p= 0.033 and OR=2,231) are the variablesrelated to the selection of birth attendants. Furthermore, the results of this studyshow that age, parity, and cost has no significant relation with the selection ofmedical professional as the labour attendants . The result of this studyrecommends to the District Health Clinics Health UPTD Bantan to increase publicknowledge about the health of the mother and maternal through pregnancy class,cross-sector cooperation related to the revitalization of Traditional BirthAttendants and midwives partnership.Key Word: Labour Attendant, Maternal Mortality Rate

Abstrak: Persalinan yang ditolong oleh tenaga kesehatan dapat menjadi upaya untukmenurunkan kematian ibu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuigambaran pemilihan penolong persalinan dan determinannya di wilayah kerjaPuskesmas Rumpin Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian menggunakan disain crosssectional, pengumpulan data melalui wawancara menggunakan kuisioner pada200 ibu yang melahirkan tahun 2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 59,5% ibumemilih tenaga kesehatan sebagai penolong persalinan. Pendidikan, dukungankeluarga dan masalah pada kehamilan dan persalinan berhubungan denganpemilihan penolong persalinan. Dukungan keluarga merupakan faktor yangdominan berhubungan dengan pemilihan penolong persalinan, ibu yang memilikidukungan keluarga yang kuat mempunyai peluang 22 kali untuk memilih tenagakesehatan sebagai penolong persalinan dibanding ibu yang dukungan keluarganyakurang setelah dikontrol oleh masalah pada kehamilan dan persalinan, ANC danpendidikan.

Deliveries attended by health workers may become an effort to reduce maternalmortality. The aim of this study is to analyze factors associated with the birthattendants selection in Rumpin Public Health Center. Cross sectional design, andinterview using a questionnaire on 200 maternity mothers 2015 were used in thisstudy. The results showed 59,9% were delivered by health workers. Education,family support and problem in pregnancy and delivery are associated with birthattendants selection. Family support was a dominant factor associated with birthattendants selection, mothers who are certain had 22 times opportunity fordeliveries attended by health workers than mothers who uncertain, oncecontrolled by problem in pregnacy and delivery, education and ANC.
