Penebusan resep merupakan parameter yang digunakan untuk menilai aksesibilitas masyarakat terhadap obat, dan belum digunakan untuk penilaian akses dalam skala nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi penebusan resep pada pelayanan rawat jalan di Indonesia dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengannya, berdasarkan data Survey Aspek Kehidupan Rumah Tangga Indonesia (SAKERTI) Tahun 2007 - 2008.

Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan tingkat penebusan resep di pelayanan rawat jalan sebesar 85,49%. Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan penebusan resep tersebut adalah kondisi geografis, setelah dikontrol dengan variabel lain. Untuk itu, disarankan agar penebusan resep dapat dipantau secara rutin dan upaya-upaya penyediaan akses terhadap obat yang memperhatikan kendala geografis.

The measurement of access to medicine is conducted through prescription filling, which had never been measured in national scale before. This research was aimed to describe the prescription filling by patient in outpatient health service, and factors related to it. The research utilize the large-database provided by Indonesia Familiy Life Survey (IFLS) year 2007 - 2008, with focus on household data.

Through the research, it was found that the 85,49% patients fulfill their prescription, which related to their geographical condition. The mentioned factor still remained significant, after the control of other variable was performed. Then, the research suggests the importance of having routine measurement of prescription filling should be acknowledged and the use of geographical-oriented policy on providing access of medicine to people.
