Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi pada anak usia sekolah prapubertas di Kota Serang pada tahun 2014. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kulitatif kepada 3 kelompok informan, yaitu siswa kelas 1-4, orang tua dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa kebutuhan informasi tentang kesehatan reproduksi bagi anak usia sekolahprapubertas berbeda-beda untuk tiap tingkatan kelasnya. Sumber informasi utamatentang kesehatan reproduksi bagi anak usia sekolah prapubertas adalah orang tuadan guru. Sementara itu, media yang paling disukai oleh anak dalam pendidikankesehatan reproduksi adalah media video atau film, sedangkan metode yang dapatdigunakan adalah metode permainan untuk kelas 1 dan 2 serta metode diskusiuntuk kelas 3 dan 4. This study is aimed to identify the needs of reproductive health education onprapuberty school-age children in Serang City on 2014. This study usedqualitative method to 3 groups of informants; the 1st-4th grade students, the parentsand the teachers. The result shows that the needs of reproductive healthinformations for prapuberty school-age children were different for every grade.The main source of information about reproductive health for prapuberty schoolage children were parents and teachers. Meanwhile, the most favorite media inreproductive health education was the video or film, and the methods which canbe used in delivering the information about reproductive health were games for 1stand 2nd grade, discussion for 3rd and 4th grade.Keywords : needs, education, reproductive, prapuberty
