Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the Dengue virus which is a health problem in Indonesia, including in the city of Mataram. DHF cases in Mataram City from 2016 to 2019 tend to fluctuate where most of the DHF patients are treated at the RSUD Kota Mataram. Death due to DHF infection occurred mostly in DSS and mortality from DSS was reported to be 50 times higher than in DHF patients without DSS. Prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment are important determinants for dengue prevention and control, so knowing these risk factors can prevent/reduce mortality. Methods: This study is an observational study with a case-control design. Cases are DHF patients diagnosed with Dengue Shock Syndrome by the treating doctor, while the controls are DHF patients diagnosed not with Dengue Shock Syndrome by the treating doctor. The research data were obtained from medical records and KD-RS formular data treated at the RSUD Kota Mataram from January 2016 to December 2020. The design of the analysis was aimed at obtaining the odds ratio value followed by multivariate analysis to determine the risk factors that could detect DSS early. Results: The variables that were statistically significant in the prediction of the final model were the increase in hematocrit value > baseline with OR= 17.1 (95% CI: 4.03372.600), decreased platelet value < 100.000/µL with OR= 6 (95% CI : 2,306-15,699), and decreased leukocyte value < baseline with OR= 5.1 (95% CI: 2,209-11,838). While the most dominant variable is the increase in hematocrit value > baseline with OR = 17.1 (95% CI: 4.033-72.600) and p value = 0.000
ABSTRACT Name : Muhammad Putra Kusuma Study Program : Magister of Epidemiology Title Relationship of Water Reservoirs With Dengue Fever In West Bangka Regency 2018 Counsellor : : Dr dr Tri Yunis Miko Wahyono M.Sc Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is an endemic disease in the tropics. That always appears at all times of the year. Especially in seasonal periods suitable for the breeding of infected mosquitoes. Usually the spread of this disease quickly if not immediately done the action focus. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by dengue virus that is transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. Based on data from district health offices of western bangka the number of cases of dengue fever in 2017 as many as 51 cases and up to March 2018 as many as 50 cases were reported. The purpose of this research is to know relation of water reservoir with dengue occurrence in west bangka district of february 2017 - february 2018. There are 3 independent variables in this research that is, larva existence, number of water reservoir and open / closed water reservoir. The research is an analytic survey with case control study approach. Population in this research is society that exist in west bangka regency. The minimum sample size in this study was 61. The comparison between case and control was 1: 2. So total respondents in this study were 183 respondents. The result of this research indicate that there is correlation between larva existence and dengue occurrence in west bangka district pvalue 0,007 big risk OR 0,007 95% (CI 1,596 - 19,960). There is a relationship between the number of water reservoirs with the incidence of DBD pvalue 0.010 and the greatest risk of OR 5.125 with 95% (CI 1,470 - 17,866). There is a relationship between open / closed water reservoir with the incidence of DBD pvalue 0.063 with a large risk OR 2,723 (95% CI 0.946 - 7,842). Key words: DBD, Water Reservoirs
