The target of modern contraceptive use is an indicator of the success of family planning in achieving the Modern Contraceptive Prevalence Rate (mCPR). Meuraxa sub-district, Banda Aceh city has a low mCPR with 42.40%, which means that few WUS use modern contraceptives. This study aims to identify the determinants of modern contraceptive use among married women in Meuraxa sub-district, Banda Aceh city in 2025. Quantitative research through cross-sectional with 300 respondents randomized to married WUS in Meuraxa District. Respondents filled out a self-report questionnaire online, analyzed using the chi square test and multiple logistic regression. A total of 48% of WUS used modern contraception and unmet need reached 34.67%. Most contraceptives used were non-MKJP, especially the types of pills and injections. Parity, knowledge, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control are variables associated with modern contraceptive use. Multivariate modeling found that parity, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control were significant to the modern contraceptive use (R square = 0.285). Recommendations to DP3AKB to update the flip sheet for KIE, improve the skills of kader KB for KIE/ counseling, target TIAL and IAT for reduce unmet need, and cross-sectoral cooperation with KUA to socialize of use modern contraceptives in family life.

Coverage of modern contraceptive use in Indonesia increased from year to year. However, the scope of the use of long acting contraceptive system (LACS) is still farfrom the expected target. Based on previous study found that high-risk groups arelikely to use modern contraception. This study aimed to analyze the effect of high-riskbirths with the use of modern contraceptives, especially long acting contraceptivesystem (LACS) and determine other factors that have a value of interventions towardshigh-risk births variable relationship with the use of modern contraceptives. This studyused cross sectional design with IDHS 2007 and 2012. The sample in this study werewomen of reproductive age (15-49 years) who had delivered a maximum of 5 yearsprior to the survey. The results showed that the prevalence of high risk of 30.45%,10.96% double high risk and 19,49 single high risk. The prevalence of moderncontraceptive use by 68% and the most widely used injection method. While theprevalence of the use of LACS was 8.73% and the most widely used method of IUD.A history of high-risk births do not increase the probability of modern contraceptiveuse overall [PR 0.84; 95% CI: 0.817 - 0.861]. There are considerable opportunities touse the LACS for those who have a history of high-risk multiple births either in thewhole population [PR: 1.90; 95% CI: 1.65 - 2.13] and in a population of moderncontraceptive users [PR: 1,46; 95% CI: 1.29 to 1.64]. Population using moderncontraceptives, the biggest opportunity to use the LACS when high-risk mothers doANC at clinic midwife and deliver at the maternity hospital (RB) level health centers. Therefore, it is advisable to increase the education, promotion and counselingespecially to women of reproductive age who already have a history of delivering witha high risk in order to prevent the risk births. Keywords: Women of Reproductive Age, High-risk births, modern contraceptive,LACS, IDHS 2007 and 2012

The prevalence of modern contraceptive use is an indicator of the success of the family planning program, which functions as a strategy to control the population and support the accelerated reduction in maternal mortality, unwanted pregnancies, and abortion, however the achievements are still relatively low. The aim of this research is to analyze the determinants of modern contraceptive use among women of childbearing age on the island of Sumatera. This type of research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design, using secondary data from the 2017 Indonesian Health Demographic Survey (IDHS). The study sample consisted of 5276 respondents. Data analysis used logistic regression statistical test. The results of the analysis showed that the percentage of use of modern contraceptive methods among WUS on the island of Sumatra was 85%. However, the types of long-term contraception are still low, namely IUDs (4.1%) and implants (10.1%), the most common being the use of 3-month injections (36.7%). The results of the multivariate analysis show that the factors that influence the use of modern contraceptive methods are education, work status, knowledge about family planning, place of residence, husband's support and support from health workers. With the dominant factor, namely husband's support, there is a 3.35 times chance of using modern contraceptive methods. To increase coverage of modern contraceptive use the government needs to improve services and develop effective IEC strategies for WUS and their partners.
