Geothermal industry is a producer of natural gas including hydrogen sulfide gas (H 2 S) which is very dangerous to humans. This thesis will analyze the hazard risk perceptions of hydrogen sulfide gas (H 2 S) to local workers in the geothermal field of PT. XYZ in 2020. Risk perception is a subjective assessment of the following things, such as the likely types of an accident, the potential hazards that will occur, and how much a person is concerned about the consequences. This study uses a psychometric paradigm which is the best illustration to determine a person's risk perception where this approach can analyze risks by giving good and clear answers from each dimension, including the volunteerism dimension to risk, the dimension of understanding risk, the dimension of controlling risk, the dimension of knowledge towards risk as well as the newness dimension of risk. This study uses a cross-sectional design with a descriptive analysis method. Data obtained through a questionnaire with 90 respondents local workers who then analyzed using the univariate and bivariate analysis to determine the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable with a confidence level (CL) of 95%. The results of the analysis show that the description of the risk perception of Hydrogen Sulfide (H 2 S) gas for local workers in the geothermal field of PT. XYZ in 2020 is voluntary toward risk, have a good understanding and able to control of risk while does not have good knowledge especially about the science of hydrogen sulfide gas (H 2 S) and assume the risk of exposure to hydrogen sulfide gas (H 2 S) is an old risk. It is recommended for PT. XYZ to make promotive efforts such as more planned training of hydrogen sulfide gas (H 2 S), maximizing safety induction related to the hazard of hydrogen sulfide gas (H 2 S), maximizing toolbox meeting forums, weekly safety meetings and other meetings to increase workers' awareness regarding hazards Hydrogen Sulfide gas (H 2 S), makes an in-depth analysis of worker observations related to unsafe behavior and also increase the industrial hygiene programs.
At the stage of the production process of making spark plugs use a lot of machines and material containing health and safety risks for workers. Safety at work is affected by the perspective or perception of workers to the hazards and risks. The importance of establishing a good perception aims to prevent perception errors that cause human error resulting in an accident. Perceptions of risk can be assessed through psychometric paradigm approach. The purpose of this study is to determine the safety risk perception at the Chucking Machine and Assembly Line PT NGK Busi Indonesia year of 2014 according to psychometric approach. The research was conducted with quantitative approach and crosssectional study in two departments, namely Chucking Machine and Assembly Line PT NGK Busi Indonesia. There were 121 workers chosen as samples in this research. Data were collected through questionnaire using a scale psychometric paradigm. Results shows that workers perception are less risky. This indicates that worker’s perception still low to faced risk in their workplace. Therefore, the need to increase two-way communication, improve the perception of risk and develop awareness program for improvement
This study discusses the risk perception of residensts RW 004 Kebon Kacang against fires.The risk perception of residents in the analysis using seven variables of psychometricparadigm ie, experience, knowledge, volunteerism, fear, control, potential impacts andenvironmental conditions. This research uses descriptive analytical approach withquantitative methods. Respondents in this study were selected by random sampling methodwith the number of respondents was 227 respondents. The results showed that 57.3% of theRW 004 has a good risk perception against fires. However, it still needs to be improvedregarding the knowledge of citizens, infrastructure and associated fire control conditions inthe surrounding environment.Keywords :Perception, Risk Perception, Fire and Psychometric Paradigm.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi pekerja terhadap risiko keselamatan kerja dengan menggunakan paradigma psikometri di PT.X, Divisi T, yard S. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga membahas mengenai persepsi keuntungan (perceived benefit), persepsi kerugian (perceived risk) dan tingkat penerimaan risiko pekerja terhadap 10 pekerjaan yang biasa dilakukan di yard S. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kuantitatif yang dilengkapi dengan data sekunder (melalui telaah dokumen). Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan secara prospektif selama 2 bulan sejak bulan November-Desember 2012. Dari 31 pekerja yang diteliti, rata-rata pekerja di PT.X menempatkan Hard banding (gauging, grinding, heating) sebagai pekerjaan yang paling tinggi keuntungan (perceived benefit) sekaligus risikonya (perceived risk). Berdasarkan tingkat penerimaan risiko, rata-rata pekerja di PT.X menganggap bahwa hanya 1 pekerjaan yang terlalu berisiko, yaitu loading un loading menggunakan forklift. Pekerja di PT.X, Divisi T, yard S, cenderung berpersepsi bahwa risiko pada 10 pekerjaan yang ada di PT. X divisi T sedang-sedang saja. Berdasarkan 9 dimensi paradigma psikometri yang ada, rata-rata pekerja mengkategorikan 5 dari 9 dimensi yang ada pada posisi sedang (skala 2 dari 4 dan skala 3 dari 4). Selain itu diketahui pula bahwa persepsi mengenai risiko bersifat subjektif, sehingga sebuah pekerjaan yang sama dapat ditempatkan dalam penilaian risiko yang yang berbeda sesuai dengan kategori yang berbeda. Oleh karena itu evaluasi untuk mengetahui persepsi pekerja mengenai risiko perlu dilakukan secara berkala dengan tujuan membuat sistem tanggap risiko yang terintergrasi dengan melibatkan para pekerja tersebut.
ABSTRACT
This study is aimed to analyze risk perception among workers particularly about safety risk using psychometric paradigm in PT.X, Division T, yard S. In addition, this study also analyze the perceived benefit, perceived risk and level of acceptability risk through list of work provided (contain of 10 works). The study is use quantitative design study and completed by documents provided from the company. The quantitative data collected prospectives within 2 months since November until December 2012. From 31 workers, most of worker put hard banding (gauging, grinding, heating) as the most beneficial work (perceived benefit) and also the most risky (perceived risk). Base on level of acceptability of risk, most of worker at PT.X put loading unloading using forklift as the most risky job. As the summary, most of workers in PT.X, division T, yard S tend to perceived the risk at their company on medium level. Base on 9 dimension on pyschometry paradigm, most of workers put 5 dimension at medium level (scale 2 from 4). In addition, it's known that perception among risk is a subjective matter, where sometime job can be classify into different classification based on different categorize. That's why periodic evaluation is needed to analyze the progress of risk perception among workers. This evaluation will help the company to initiate the creation of integrated risk mitigation system which involve the workers on the process.
