Abstrak: In a national cohort comprising 1.5 million Danes born from 1966 to 1992, we studied the association between childhood socioeconomic status (SES) and the risk of multiple sclerosis (MS) from 1981 to 2007 using information about household income and parental educational levels at the person's 15th birthday. The association between childhood SES and MS was evaluated using MS incidence rate ratios with 95% confidence intervals obtained in log-linear Poisson regression analyses. We found no strong association between childhood SES and MS but did observe a tendency toward a reduced risk of MS among children from households with more highly educated parents, particularly mothers. Children whose mothers had a secondary (rate ratio = 0.95, 95% confidence interval: 0.86, 1.04) or higher (rate ratio = 0.86, 95% confidence interval: 0.76, 0.97) education had reduced risks of MS (5% and 14%, respectively) compared with children of mothers with a basic education (P for trend = 0.02). Results were practically unchanged in an analysis restricted to persons aged 15-29 years, among whom the possible effect of own SES on MS risk is considered limited. Overall, SES in childhood seems of no major importance for the subsequent risk of MS; however, offspring of well-educated mothers may be at a slightly reduced risk of MS.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah studi cross sectional yang bertujuan melihat hubungan pendidikan orang tua, pola konsumsi susu saat balita, dan faktor-faktor lain dengan status gizi (TB/U) serta dampak TB/U terhadap prestasi belajar. Penelitian melibatkan 96 anak kelas satu di SDN Kedung Waringin 02 dan 03, data-data diperoleh dari pengukuran tinggi badan secara langsung, pengisian kuesioner oleh ibu, dan nilai rapor dari sekolah.
 
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata tinggi badan anak laki-laki (115.85cm ± 5.14) lebih rendah dibandingkan anak perempuan (117.45cm ± 5.75). Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik antara pendidikan ibu, pendidikan ayah, dan pola konsumsi susu saat balita dengan TB/U pada anak kelas satu. Tidak ditemukan hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik antara TB/U dengan prestasi belajar, akan tetapi anak dengan tubuh yang pendek (Z-score TB/U < -2SD) cenderung memiliki rata-rata prestasi belajar yang lebih rendah (71.94) daripada anak dengan tubuh yang tidak pendek (Z-score TB/U ≥ -2SD) (76.40). Pendidikan ibu dan ayah, dan pola konsumsi susu saat balita yang baik merupakan faktor-faktor yang dapat mendukung tercapainya status gizi (TB/U) yang baik.
 

This study was a cross sectional study that examines the relationships of parental education, the pattern of consumption of milk in toddler, and other factors with nutritional status (H/A) and the impact of H/A on learning achievement. The study involved 96 children in first class at SDN Kedung Waringin 02 and 03, the data obtained from direct measurements of height, filling out maternal questionnaires, and school report scores.
 
The results showed the average height of boys (115.85cm ± 5.14) lower than girls (117.45cm ± 5.75). There are statistically significant relationships between mother's education, father's education, and the toddler pattern of milk consumption with H/A on first-grade children. Found no statistically significant association between H/A with school learning achievement, but children with short stature (Z-score H/A <-2SD) tend to have average lower learning achievement (71.94) than children without short stature (Z-score H/A ≥-2SD) (76.40). Maternal and paternal educations, and patterns of milk consumption in toddler that good are all factors that can support the achievement of good nutritional status (H/A).

Abstrak:
Literasi gizi merupakan kemampuan dalam memperoleh, memproses, memahami, dan mengaplikasikan informasi gizi serta mengakses layanan kesehatan yang diperlukan agar dapat membuat keputusan gizi yang tepat. Tingkat literasi gizi yang rendah pada remaja dapat membentuk pola makan buruk yang akan berlangsung hingga dewasa dan berdampak buruk pada risiko kejadian penyakit kronis terkait gizi. Usia remaja seringkali mengarah pada perkembangan pola makan yang buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat literasi gizi pada siswa/i di SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta tahun 2023. Desain penelitian yang digunakan ialah cross sectional dengan sampel sebanyak 130 siswa/i kelas 7 dan 8 di SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta menggunakan metode quota sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah hasil adaptasi dan modifikasi dari NLit (Nutrition Literacy Assessment Instrument) dan NLAA (Nutrition Literacy Assessment of Adolescent). Pengambilan data dilakukan bulan Juli 2023 dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan mengukur antropometri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 55,4% responden memiliki tingkat literasi gizi yang rendah. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan ayah (p=0,032; OR=2,322; 95% CI 1,067 – 5,054), peran keluarga (p=0,001; OR=3,704; 95% CI 1,780 – 7,708), peran teman sebaya (p=0,006; OR=2,692; 95% CI 1,320 – 5,491), dan penggunaan media (p=0,000; OR=3,869; 95% CI 1,789 – 8,367) dengan tingkat literasi gizi.

Nutrition literacy is the ability to obtain, process, understand and apply nutrition information and access the necessary health services to make appropriate decisions. Low levels of nutritional literacy in adolescents can form poor dietary patterns that will last into adulthood and adversely affect the risk of developing nutrition-related chronic diseases. Adolescence often leads to the development of poor eating patterns. This study aims to determine the description and factors associated with the level of nutritional literacy in students at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta in 2023. The research design used was cross sectional with a sample of 130 students in grades 7 and 8 at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta using the quota sampling method. The instrument used is the result of adaptation and modification of the NLit (Nutrition Literacy Assessment Instrument) and NLAA (Nutrition Literacy Assessment of Adolescent). Data collection was carried out in July 2023 by distributing questionnaires and measuring anthropometry. The results showed that 55.4% of respondents had a low level of nutritional literacy. There was a significant association between father's education level (p=0.032; OR=2.322; 95% CI 1.067 - 5.054), family role (p=0.001; OR=3.704; 95% CI 1.780 - 7.708), peer role (p=0.006; OR=2.692; 95% CI 1.320 - 5.491), and media use (p=0.000; OR=3.869; 95% CI 1.789 - 8.367) with nutritional literacy level.

Abstrak:
Literasi gizi merupakan kapasitas individu untuk memperoleh, mengolah, dan memahami informasi gizi dasar yang diperlukan untuk membuat keputusan gizi yang tepat. Literasi gizi mencakup pengetahuan dan keterampilan penting terkait gizi yang digunakan dalam membuat pilihan makanan. Remaja merupakan usia terbentuknya perilaku makan yang dapat berlanjut hingga dewasa dan berdampak pada kesehatan di kemudian hari. Namun, remaja rentan untuk mengembangkan perilaku makan yang buruk, sehingga memerlukan literasi gizi yang baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat literasi gizi dan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tingkat literasi gizi pada remaja, dengan menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April hingga Mei 2024 dengan melibatkan 108 siswa/i kelas X dan XI di SMA Negeri 21 Jakarta, yang dipilih menggunakan metode quota sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian dilakukan dengan pengisian kuesioner secara mandiri oleh responden (self-administered). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sekitar separuh dari responden memiliki tingkat literasi gizi total yang baik, serta tingkat literasi gizi fungsional, interaktif, dan kritikal yang tergolong baik. Terdapat perbedaan proporsi yang bermakna pada tingkat literasi gizi total berdasarkan tingkat pendapatan rumah tangga dan peran teman sebaya. Terdapat perbedaan proporsi yang bermakna pada tingkat literasi gizi fungsional berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan ibu. Terdapat perbedaan proporsi yang bermakna pada tingkat literasi gizi interaktif berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan ayah, peran teman sebaya, peran guru, dan keterpaparan informasi gizi. Terdapat perbedaan proporsi yang bermakna pada tingkat literasi gizi kritikal berdasarkan peran teman sebaya. Tingkat pendapatan rumah tangga merupakan faktor dominan yang berhubungan dengan tingkat literasi gizi total pada remaja di SMA Negeri 21 Jakarta (OR = 3,5).

Nutrition literacy is an individual's capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic nutrition information needed to make appropriate nutrition decisions. Nutrition literacy includes important nutrition-related knowledge and skills used in making food choices. Adolescence is the age when eating behavior is formed which can continue into adulthood and can impact health in the future. However, this age group is vulnerable to developing poor eating behavior, so they need good nutrition literacy. This research was conducted to determine the level of nutrition literacy and factors related to the level of nutrition literacy in adolescents, using a cross-sectional study design. The research was conducted from April to May 2024 involving 108 students in grades 10 and 11 at SMA Negeri 21 Jakarta, in which the samples were selected using the quota sampling method. A self-administered questionnaires were used to collect data for this study. The results showed that around half of the respondents had a good level of total nutrition literacy, as well as a good level of functional, interactive and critical nutrition literacy. There are significant differences in the proportion of total nutrition literacy levels based on household income level and the role of peers. There are significant differences in the proportion of functional nutrition literacy levels based on the mother's education level. There are significant differences in the proportion of interactive nutrition literacy levels based on the father's education level, the role of peers, the role of teachers, and exposure to nutrition information. There are also significant differences in the proportion of critical nutrition literacy levels based on the role of peers. Household income level is the dominant factor associated with the level of total nutrition literacy of adolescents at SMA Negeri 21 Jakarta (OR = 3.5).
