Abstrak: Safety Leadership merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam menurunkan angka kecelakaan dan peningkatan perilaku keselamatan kerja. Penelitian ini mengkaji profil Safety Leadership Manajemen Lini (Koordinator dan Supervisor) pada PT X yang bergerak di bidang pertambangan emas. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, dengan mengadopsi konsep Krause (2005). Terdapat 2 elemen Safety Leadership yaitu Leadership Style (Transformational Leadership) dan Safety Best Practice. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa Safety Leadership pada Manajemen Lini menurut sudut pandangnya sendiri dan sudut pandang tim masih belum baik. Safety belum menjadi prioritas dari manajemen lini di PT X. Kata kunci: Safety Leadership, Personality, Transformational Leadership, Safety Best Practices Safety Leadership is one of the important components in reducing accident rate and increasing safety behavior. This study examines the profile of Safety Leadership Line Management (Coordinator and Supervisor) at PT X which is engaged in gold mining. The method used is quantitative, by adopting the concept of Krause (2005). There are 2 elements of Safety Leadership that are Leadership Style (Transformational Leadership) and Safety Best Practice. From the results of the research it was found that Safety Leadership on Line Management in its own perspective and team perspective is still not good. Abstrak:

ABSTRAK Tesis ini membahas karakteristik dan profil dari safety leadership (SL) pada posisi Supervisor, Foreman dan Leadman pada pada projek MHBL di PT. AD yang merupakan tambang batubara. Selain penilaian dilakukan dari sisi supervisor, foreman dan leadman, juga dilakukan penilaian dari sisi operator yang dipimpin langsung oleh ketiga posisi manajemen lini tersebut.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian semi kuantitatif dengan desian deskriptif, dimana objek penelitian terdiri dari 4 posisi: supervisor, foreman, leadman dan operator. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan teori dari Thomas Krause (2005) mengenai safety leadership yang dipengaruhi oleh 4 faktor: Personality, Transformational Leadership Style, Best Practices dan Organizational Culture. Peneliti hanya menggunakan 3 variabel pertama sebagai konsep penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisor, foreman dan leadman menunjukkan hasil yang belum optimal dalam pemenuhan safety leadership di tempat kerja.Sedangkan hasil penilaian operator terhadap safety leadership supervisor, foreman dan leadman di tempat kerja menunjukkan hasil yang baik pada variabel transformational leadership dan best practices, namun pada variabel personality belum memenuhi kriteria safety leadership.


ABSTRACT This research discussed the characteristic and profile of Safety Leadership in job position of Supervisor, Foreman and Leadman in MHBL project at PT. AD which is the second largest coal producer in Indonesia. The evaluation also conducted on operator/ tradesman level which directly supervise within those three levels of frontline management.It?s a semi quantitative research with descriptive design, in which the research objects are four job positions: supervisor, foreman, leadman and operator. The approach being used in this Thesis is Thomas Krause?s theory (2005) of Safety Leadership, which influenced by four factors: Personality, Transformational Leadership Style, Best Practices and Organizational Culture. Researcher took three variables and excludes the organizational culture, as the concept of the research.The result shows that supervisor, foreman and leadman has not fulfil the criteria of safety leadership in their workplace, while the evaluation form operator shown that their supervisor, foreman and leadman already fill the transformational leadership and best practices criteria, although the personality criteria hasn?t fully achieved in safety leadership.

Abstrak: Safety leadership adalah salah satu komponen yang berperan penting dalam menurunkan angka kecelakaan dan peningkatan performa keselamatan kerja di perusahaan. Penelitian ini mengkaji profil safety leadership pada manajemen lini (Manajer dan Supervisor) di workshop PT. XYZ yang bergerak dalam bidang manufaktur wireline sebagai penunjang sektor migas yang berlokasi di Cikarang, Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan konsep dan teori dari Krause (2005). Elemen yang diteliti berdasarkan safety leadership best practices yang terdiri dari vision, credibility, action oriented, collaboration, communication, feedback and recognition dan accountability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa safety leadership pada manajemen lini di PT. XYZ masih kurang baik. Kata kunci: Safety Leadership, Personality, Transformational Leadership, Safety Best Practices, Organizational Culture Safety Leadership is the one of the important components in reducing accident rates and improving safety performance in the company. Abstrak:
Budaya organisasi dapat menjadi jembatan untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi pelayanan kesehatan namun juga sebaliknya dapat menjadi pemicu terjadinya hambatan dalam menunjang keselamatan pasien. Budaya organisasi dan budaya keselamatan pasien menjadi landasan untuk dilakukannya perubahan, terutama dalam hal peningkatan mutu pelayanan di rumah sakit. Untuk menciptakan budaya organisasi yang positif, salah satu faktor esensial yang harus dimiliki rumah sakit adalah sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang mampu mendukung tujuan organisasi. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk memahami bagaimana kepribadian individu sebagai staf di rumah sakit memengaruhi pembentukan budaya organisasi dan penerapan budaya keselamatan pasien di RSUD Scholoo Keyen. 131 tenaga medis fungsional dan struktural menjadi responden dalam penelitian kuantitatif. Selanjutnya dilakukan wawancara mendalam terhadap 9 informan dan diskusi kelompok terfokus bersama 3 perwakilan manajemen rumah sakit. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan bahwa banyak staf yang cenderung mengalami sikap permusuhan, kurang mampu bertanggung jawab dalam pekerjaan, dan memiliki kapasitas menyelesaikan masalah yang rendah. Penilaian terhadap budaya organisasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai organisasi di tingkat makro masih dinilai rendah. Selain itu, 84.7% staf menilai penerapan budaya keselamatan pasien di rumah sakit masih negatif dan belum efektif. Staf menilai bahwa manajemen rumah sakit masih perlu melakukan perbaikan dari aspek kepemimpinan, kerja sama tim, pengenalan stres, dan pengembangan potensi staf.

Organizational culture (OC) serves as a bridge to achieve a health service organization’s purpose, but on the contrary, a negative OC can impede patient safety. Organizational culture and patient safety culture (PSC) aims to improve the quality of services in hospitals. To create a positive OC & PSC, one of the essential factors is human resources (HR) that organizational goals. This research aims to understand how individual staff personalities influence the formation of OC and the implementation of PSC at Scholoo Keyen Regional Hospital. medical personnel were included in the quantitative research. Qualitative research was then conducted through in-depth interviews with 9 informants and a focused group discussion with 3 hospital management representatives. The results of this research found that a substantial portion of staff had hostile attitudes, are less able to take responsibility at work, and have a low capacity to solve issues. Assessment of OC shows that organizational values at the macro level are still considered low. In addition, 84.7% of staff assessed that the implementation of PSC in the hospital was negative and not effective. Staff reported that hospital management needs to improve in terms of leadership, teamwork, stress recognition, and developing staff potential.
