Abstrak:

ABSTRAK Malaria is a main public health problem in 109 countries and approximately 14 million people live in malaria endemic provinces in Afghanistan. This study is aimed to identify the independent predictors influencing the use of bed nets and determine the bed net coverage through a cross-sectional study with sample size of 171 households in Badakhshan province of Afghanistan. The result indicated that source of health education, number of rooms, locality of households and reading ability are the significant predictors associated with use of bed net and the coverage of bed net was 18.8% among surveyed population. As a conclusion, the big proportion of people who reported the habit of sleeping under bed net, were the respondents who received malaria related health messages from (TV, radio, newspapers, workplace and mosque), lived in urban area, owned less number of rooms and were able to read.

Abstrak:
Latar belakang: Tingginya konsumsi minuman manis di Indonesia tergolong sangat tinggi yang menempati posisi ketiga di Asia Tenggara. Hal tersebut berpotensi meningkatkan penyakit tidak menular seperti diabetes dan penyakit kardiovaskular. Risiko tersebut seringkali terjadi pada orang dewasa, terutama karyawan yang bekerja di kantor. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumsi minuman berpemanis pada karyawan PT Diamond Cipta Property Tbk tahun 2024. Metode: Penggunaan pendekatan kuantitatif dilakukan dengan desain cross-sectional dan menggunakan data primer sebanyak 260 responden. Hasil: Prevalensi konsumsi minuman manis tingkat tinggi pada karyawan PT Diamond Cipta Property Tbk tahun 2024 sebesar 86,2%. Terdapat hubungan antara jenis kelamin, tingkat stres, tingkat ekonomi, ketersediaan minuman berpemanis, dan media massa terhadap tingkat konsumsi minuman berpemanis. Sementara kemampuan membaca label dan frekuensi online food delivery tidak memiliki hubungan dengan tingkat konsumsi minuman berpemanis . Kesimpulan: Prevalensi konsumsi minuman berpemanis di tempat kerja tergolong tinggi, sehingga dibutuhkan edukasi bagi para karyawan terkait batasan konsumsi gula harian untuk meminimalisir risiko penyakit pada karyawan.

Background: There is a high consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages in Indonesia, which ranks third in Southeast Asia. It can potentially increase non-transmitted diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. These risks often occur in adults, especially employees who work in offices. Objective: This study aims to identify factors that influence the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages among employees of PT Diamond Cipta Property Tbk in 2024. Methods: The use of a quantitative approach was carried out with a cross-sectional design and used primary data as many as 260 respondents. Results: The prevalence of high-level consumption of sweetened beverages among employees of PT Diamond Cipta Property Tbk in 2024 was 86.2%. There is a correlation between gender, stres level, economic level, availability of sugar-sweetened beverages, and mass media on the level of consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages. While the ability to read labels and frequency of online food delivery did not have a correlation with the level of consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages. Conclusion: The prevalence of sugar-sweetened beverage consumption in the workplace is high, so education for employees regarding daily sugar consumption limits is needed to minimize the risk of disease in employees.
