Dalam era JKN ini, unit cost diperlukan untuk membantu dalam mengelola keuangan rumah sakit dan bisa menambah atau mempertahankan pendapatan rumah sakit. Tonsilektomi merupakan salah satu tindakan tersering di bagian THT di banyak rumah sakit di dunia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh biaya satuan pasien tonsilektomi di RS Aisyiyah Bojonegoro dan perbandingannya dengan tarif INA-CBGs. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan variabel yaitu direct cost, indirect cost, dan biaya total pada pasien yang mendapatkan tindakan tonsilektomi di RS Aisyiyah Bojonegoro. Metode perhitungan biaya ini menggunakan sistem ABC. Biaya satuan pasien yang mendapatkan tonsilektomi ringan pada kelas 1 sebesar Rp 5.585.881,24 dibandingkan dengan tarif INA-CBGs sebesar Rp 5.118.600,00, kelas 2 sebesar Rp 5.361.090,46 dibandingkan dengan tarif INA-CBGs sebesar Rp 4.483.600,00, dan kelas 3 sebesar Rp 5.198.101,09 dibandingkan dengan tarif INA-CBGs sebesar Rp 3.848.600,00. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa secara keseluruhan biaya satuan pada tonsilektomi ringan di RS Aisyiyah Bojonegoro tahun 2022 lebih besar dibandingkan dengan tarif INA-CBGs.
In this JKN era, unit costs are needed to help manage hospital finances and can increase or maintain hospital income. Tonsillectomy is one of the most common procedures in the ENT department in many hospitals in the world. The purpose of this study was to obtain unit costs for tonsillectomy patients at Aisyiyah Bojonegoro Hospital and compare them with INA-CBGs rates. This study uses a descriptive method with variables namely direct cost, indirect cost, and total cost in patients who get tonsillectomy at Aisyiyah Bojonegoro Hospital. This cost calculation method uses the ABC system. The unit cost of patients who received mild tonsillectomy in class 1 amounted to Rp 5.585.881,24 compared to the INA-CBGs rate of Rp 5,118,600.00, class 2 amounted to Rp 5.361.090,46 compared to the INA-CBGs rate of Rp 4,483,600.00, and class 3 amounted to Rp 5.198.101,09 compared to the INA-CBGs rate of Rp 3,848,600.00. Based on the results of this study, it was found that the overall unit cost of mild tonsillectomy at Aisyiyah Bojonegoro Hospital in 2022 was greater than the INA-CBGs tariff

Wade Hampton Frost, who was a Professor of Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University from 1919 to 1938, spurred the development of epidemiologic methods. His 6 publications in the American Journal of Hygiene, which later became the American Journal of Epidemiology, comprise a 1928 Cutter lecture on a theory of epidemics, a survey-based study of tonsillectomy and immunity to Corynebacterium diphtheriae (1931), 2 papers from a longitudinal study of the incidence of minor respiratory diseases (1933 and 1935), an attack rate ratio analysis of the decline of diphtheria in Baltimore (1936), and a 1936 lecture on the age, time, and cohort analysis of tuberculosis mortality. These 6 American Journal of Hygiene /American Journal of Epidemiology papers attest that Frost's personal evolution mirrored that of the emerging "early" epidemiology: The scope of epidemiology extended beyond the study of epidemics of acute infectious diseases, and rigorous comparative study designs and their associated quantitative methods came to light.
