Depression is one of the most common mental health disorders. Data shows that Indonesia ranks second with the highest total cases of depression in the Southeast Asia region, after India. Where depression is the first burden of mental illness in Indonesia in almost three decades (1990 ? 2017). There are several risk factors for depression, one of them is physical activity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between physical activity and depression which was controlled by several variables that were suspected of being confounded in residents aged 15-24 years in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional research design using IFLS-5 data. The analysis used in this study is the analysis of the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results of the analysis showed that the proportion of depression was 29.46% and based on the final multivariate analysis model, it was found that physical activity was lacking 0.58 times the risk of experiencing depression was lower, and there were no confounding variables that influenced the relationship between physical activity and depression.
ABSTRACT Name : Syifa Pramudita Faddila Study Program : Public Health Title : Association between Physical Activity and Consumption with Overweight among Children Aged 10-12 Years in Indonesia 2013 (Multilevel Analysis of Riskesdas 2013) Counsellor : dr.Iwan Ariawan, MSPH Physical activity and balanced food consumption is an attempt to reduce overweight in childhood so as not to continue to be obese or other degenerative diseases. Globally, 42 million children are overweight by 2015 and overweight in Indonesia is around 10.8% in 2013. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between physical activity and consumption with overweight among children aged 10-12 years in Indonesia 2013. This study uses secondary data Riskesdas 2013 with a cross sectional study design where the sample of research is 49,620 children. The results showed 14.5% of respondents had overweight. Only physical activity had significant association with overweight (p=0,014), whereas risky food consumption (p=0,518) with fruit and vegetable consumption (p=0,693) was not significant. Less active respondents were at risk 1.11 times (95% CI= 1.02-1.21) to become overweight compared with active respondents. Multilevel analysis results show that variation in overweight between provinces is greater when compared to risk factors at the individual level (MOR=1.37). Overweight are related to the physical activity of children, while consumption is unrelated. It needed strategy and promotion of physical activity in children by involving parents and built environment to make children more active to reduce overweight. Physical activity has many health benefits, including the prevention of various diseases. However, many students in Indonesia were not physically active. The result of BasicHealth Research 2013 showed that 33.4% of adolescents aged 15-19 years in West Javawere not active in physical activity, and Depok was the city with the highest proportionof the least active population in West Java which was 40.5%. This study aimed todetermine the determinants of physical activity on senior high school students in Depok,West Java 2018. This study used cross sectional design, data was collected using self-administered questionnaire on 358 randomly selected students from five senior highschools in Depok, and analyzed using chi-square and multiple logistic regression tests. The result showed 54.2% students were sufficiently active. These findings revealed thatknowledge (p=0,002 OR=2,379, 95% CI 1,383-4,091), attitudes (p=0,005 OR=1,888,95% CI 1,209-2,949), and facilities (p=0,036 OR=1,673, 95% CI 1,035-2,704) relatedto physical activity while family support as confounding. Highly knowledgeablestudents had two-fold chance of being active in physical activity than low-knowledgestudents after being controlled by attitudes, facilities, and family support. Therefore, it isnecessary to deliver health information about physical activity, socialization of healthylifestyle in the community, and the encouragement for physical activity in schools as aneffort to encourage students to be more active.Key words : physical activity, student, senior high school.
Currently stroke is the number two killer after ischemic heart disease, and remains theleading cause of death in the world in the last 15 years. In Indonesia the incidence ofstroke increased from 2007 to 2013 ie from 8 per 1000 population to 12 per 1000population and West Java province has 12 prevalence per 1000 population with estimatednumber of stroke patient equal to 17 per 1000 population.Inadequate physical activity is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease includingstroke. Increased inactive behavior, feared will increase the number of stroke patients. InIndonesia the proportion of population with less active physical activity was 26.1%. WestJava Province has a proportion of less active population of 25.4%. This figure mayincrease in the future by considering that West Java Province in 2013 has a sedentaryfigure above the national rate. The design of the study was cross sectional through the use of data from the Cohortof non-communicable diseases of the Indonesian Ministry of Health Research andDevelopment. The sample in this study is population aged 25 to 65 years found in datacohort study of PTM in subdistrict Bogor Central, Bogor City. The results of this study obtained the prevalence of stroke in subdistrict Bogor Centralby 15 per 1000 population. There is a relationship of physical activity with stroke withdifferent risk in the age group. In the age group less than 45 years, the population withless physical activity will be at risk of stroke by 5.43 times higher than those who haveenough physical activity. In the age group of 45 years or older, people with less physicalactivity would be at risk of stroke 1.18 times higher than those with sufficient physicalactivity.Increased efforts to prevent and control stroke and increase physical activity needs tobe done by the government through health promotion on a wider scale and through variousmedia information. The government needs to facilitate the provision of public open spacesand supporting facilities for the improvement of physical activity. The community shouldadopt a healthy lifestyle, among others, with sufficient physical activity and an active rolein promoting the increase of physical activity through institutions and communityorganizations such as PKK, Karang Taruna, spiritual associations and so forthKeywords:Stroke, physical activity, prevalence, risk.

The prevalence of DM in Bogor City which is equal to 2.1%, this is still higher than the prevalence of DM in Indonesia according to Riskesdas 2013 data which is equal to 2.0%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of physical activity on blood glucose level control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the PTM cohort study in Bogor City in 2011-2016. According to the Log-rank survival test based on physical activity there was no significant difference with a significance value of 0.941. That survival between groups of physical activity is sufficient and the survival of the blood glucose control event is not different. Patients with type 2 DM who have enough physical activity have HR of 0.788 times (95% CI: 0.456-1.360) with p value 0.392. That is, patients with type 2 diabetes who have sufficient physical activity or those who do not show significant differences in blood glucose control. There was no effect of physical activity on blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the PTM cohort study in Bogor City in 2011-2016. This is because there are a lot of sensors and lost to follow-up as well as a far enough observation point, which is 2 years. Continuous health promotion efforts are needed and other researchers can conduct studies with observation points with a shorter time span so that the effects of physical activity on blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes can be measured more precisely.
