Latar belakang: Secara global stroke merupakan penyebab tertinggi kematian akibat PTM dan menyumbang disability adjusted life years (DALYs) yang tinggi. Stroke menyebabkan kematian dini penduduk usia produktif.
Background: Globally, stroke is the highest cause of death due to NCD and a high cause of life-adjusted disability (DALYs). Stroke causes premature death of productive age. The largest population in Indonesia is in the west java province and is mainly dominated by the productive age group. Objective: This study aims to determine the risk factors associated with the incidence of stroke in the population of productive age (15-64 years) in West Java. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional study design with univariate and bivariate analysis. The sample of this research was 46,440 residents aged 15-64 years in West Java based on Riskesdas 2018 data as secondary data. Results: The prevalence of stroke at productive age in West Java is 0.8%. The results of the analysis of the dependent and independent variables show a relationship between age (POR=6.48 95%CI; 5.31 ? 7.91), hypertension (POR=5.93 95%CI; 4.84 ? 7.27), diabetes mellitus based on doctor's diagnosis (POR=8.81 95%CI;6.53 ? 11.89), body mass index (POR=1.52 95%CI;1.25 ? 1.85), abdominal obesity (POR= 2.24 95%CI;1.84 ? 2.73), former smoker (POR=3.28 95%CI;2.46 ? 4.37) and smoking behaviour (POR=0.73 95%CI;0 .57 ? 0.92) with the incidence of stroke and each has a p-value> 0.05. Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between age, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, body mass index, central obesity, and former smoking with the incidence of stroke. While smoking behaviour has a protective relationship to the incidence of stroke.

Name : Ratu Laras Ati Alya Study Program: Public Health Science Title : Factors Associated with Unintended Pregnancy in Women of Childbearing Age in Indonesia 2017 Advisor : dr. Syahrizal Syarif MPH, Ph.D There are approximately 121 million unintended pregnancies globally from 2015 to 2019. Those high numbers show that unplanned pregnancy is still a significant public health problem, especially when half of all unintended pregnancies ended up in abortion. Unwanted pregnancy also brings other negative effects aside from the health aspect, such as social and financial problems. Women who are experiencing unintended pregnancy tend to neglect their, and the fetus’ health such as missing antenatal care, which risks higher pregnancy complications that can lead to maternal death. Maternal and Neonatal Death Rate is one of the indicators for the 3rd SDGs. Contraception is the key to preventing unplanned or unintended pregnancy. It is important to find out what are the factors contributing to Unintended Pregnancies so that we have the correct information that would be considered for making an effective preventative public health policy and health laws. This study aims to recognize the factors related to unintended pregnancy, in hopes that by knowing the risk factors, unintended pregnancy can be prevented. This study was conducted using cross-sectional studies and uses Indonesian DHS 2017 Secondary Data, the sample for this study is women of childbearing age who were currently pregnant during the survey. The prevalence of unintended pregnancy in Indonesia is 7,5%, which consist of 6,8% of mistimed pregnancy and 0,7% of unwanted pregnancy. Intrapersonal Factors such as Age [PR 0,59 CI 95%: 0,37-0,97 p-value 0,036], Marriage Status [PR 6,03 CI 95% 3,7-9,9 p-value 0,001] and Parity [PR 0,42 CI 95% 0,26-0,67 p-value 0,001) and Structural Factor such as Place of Residence [PR 1,625 CI 95% 1,06-2,57 , p value = 0,024] has statistically significant association (p-value <0,05) with the cases of Unintended Pregnancy in Indonesia 2017. More reproductive health education is needed which does not only cover biological aspects but also the social, mental and financial consequences of unwanted pregnancy. The government also needs to enact stricter laws regarding the minimum age for marriage and ensure that women of childbearing age can have good access to contraception. In addition, surveillance for family planning acceptors needs to be paid more attention so that pregnancy planning can be more effective in preventing unwanted pregnancies.
Toddlers are the population with the highest risk of anemia compared to other age group populations (WHO, 2023). The prevalence of anemia in the under-five population in Indonesia tends to continue to increase from 27.7% in 2007, then increased slightly to 28.1% in 2013 and increased sharply to 38.5% in 2018 (Ministry of Health RI, 2018). In the toddler age group, children aged 6-23 months are the age group with the highest risk for anemia. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of anemia in children aged 6-23 months in Indonesia. This study used a cross-sectional study design with secondary data from the 2018 Riskesdas. The research sample was children aged 6-23 months in Indonesia with a total sample of 331 children. The results of the study found that the prevalence of anemia in children aged 6-23 months in Indonesia was 58.9%. Based on the results of bivariate analysis, there was a significant positive relationship between gender (PR = 1.339; 95% CI 1.033 – 1.635) and a significant negative (protective) relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of anemia in children aged 6 – 23 months in Indonesia ( PR = 0.613 95% CI 0.537 - 1.290). Promoting programs for checking Hb anemia in children aged 6-23 months, giving PMT which is rich in iron to children aged 6-23 months with anemia, as well as education about anemia in children through posyandu and local health centers is needed to prevent and treat anemia in children.

Based on RISKESDAS (Basic Health Research) in 2018, there was an increasing trend of central obesity, namely 31.0% compared to 2013, which was 26.6%. Along with the increasing prevalence of central obesity, it could increase degenerative disease, such as diabetes mellitus. Before diabetes occurred in a person, it was preceded by a condition called prediabetes. Prediabetes prevalence was bigger than diabetes mellitus prevalence. The result of the Basic Health Research in 2007 showed that prediabetes prevalence was almost twice the type-2 diabetes mellitus prevalence, which was 10.2%. Meanwhile, hypertension substantially increased the risk of morbidity from several diseases, especially cardiovascular and diabetes. This research aimed to determine the relationship between central obesity and prediabetes incident in the hypertension group in Indonesia. This research used a cross-sectional study design with secondary data from RISKESDAS 2018. The number of samples was 1678 people who suffered hypertension and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in this research. Data analysis used cox regression. The prediabetes prevalence in hypertensive patients in Indonesia was 61.14%. In the final model of this research, it was known that central obesity had no relationship with the incidence of prediabetes with a value of p=0.081 and PR=1.121 (95% CI; 0.986-1.274)

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality in women in Indonesia. The global epidemic of obesity contributes to the increase of cardiovascular events. In Indonesia, there have not been many studies evaluate the association between abdominal obesity and CHD in women. Therefore, this study aims to determine the association between abdominal obesity and CHD in women aged 25-65 years in Bogor. This retrospective cohort study involves 2.451 respondents of FRPTM Cohort Study who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria with an observation period of 6 years. The main independent variable of this study was abdominal obesity based on Waist-to-Height-Ratio (WHtR), while outcome of the interest was CHD based on the results of interview and/or ECG results. Cox regression analysis was performed to estimated Hazard Ratio (HR) with a 95% Confidence Interval (95% CI). The results showed that the incidence rate of CHD in women was 19 per 1.000 person-years. Women with abdominal obesity were 1,38 times (95% CI 1,01-1,89) more likely to have CHD than those without abdominal obesity after adjustment for age, hypertension, and menopause status. Early detection of CHD risk factor, especially abdominal obesity, is important, so that prevention and lifestyle modification can be implemented immediately.

ABSTRACT Name : Siti Masfufah Study Program: Master of Epidemiology Title : Association History of Vaccination and Administration of Diphtheria Antitoxin (DAT) with Diphtheria Mortality in Indonesia Counsellor : dr. Syahrizal, MPH, Ph.D Diphtheria is an infectious disease that can cause death. In Indonesia, Diphtheria is an endemic problem with an increasing death rate over the last five years by 1.8% in 2018 to 8.5% in 2022. Previous studies have shown that vaccination and administration of diphtheria antitoxin (DAT) affect mortality, but their combined effect is not widely known. Therefore, a study was conducted to determine the relationship between these two factors and Diphtheria mortality in Indonesia. The research used a case-control design with secondary data from the Ministry of Health's 2018-2022 Diphtheria surveillance report. The findings revealed that individuals who were neither vaccinated nor given DAT had a 4.57 times higher risk of death (95% CI 2.30-9.09) than vaccinated and received DAT group. Unvaccinated individuals had a 3.03 times higher risk of death (95% CI 0.11-0.82) than vaccinated individuals. The risk of death was 0.31 times lower (95% CI 0.11-0.82) in those who did not receive DAT. However, it is important to note that these results may still influenced by uncontrolled factors, thus no conclusion can be drawn regarding the reduction of death risk through withholding DAT. Up to 45% of diphtheria-related mortality were linked to the combination of this two factors. To reduce diphtheria deaths, it is essential to enhance immunization coverage and administer DAT properly. Key words: Diphtheria, Vaccination, Anti-Diphtheria Serum, Diphtheria Antitoxin, Diphtheria Mortality, Joint Effect, Diphtheria Surveillance

Indonesia is one of the countries that ranks second as the country with the highest TB cases in the world. Most TB cases in Indonesia are found in three Provinces, one of which is West Java Province. Based on the Association of TB Patient Organizations (POP TB) it is estimated that the highest TB burden in Indonesia is in West Java Province with only 50% treatment coverage. Non-adherence with treatment can lead to drug resistance, disease recurrence and death. Therefore it takes someone who can supervise the treatment that must be undertaken by TB patient. Ensuring the presence of drug supervisors is one of the solution to increase the success of TB treatment. This study aims to see the relationship between the availability of drug supervisors with Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients Medication Adherence in West Java Province. The study design used in this study is cross-sectional with a quantitative approach and used Riskesdas 2018 secondary data. Analysis was carried out on 124 TB patients in West Java Province who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the analysis showed that the proportion of non-adherence with pulmonary TB patients in West Java Province reached 28.23% and the unavailability of drug supervisors reached 37.10%. Multivariate analysis showed that TB patients who did not have drug supervisors were 1.35 times at risk for not adhere to take medication compared to those who had drug supervisors after controlled by covariate variables (PR 1,35; 95% CI: 0.68 – 2.70). However, the relationship was not statistically significant (p value > 0.05). Ensuring drug supervisors carry out their duties properly by providing adequate transportation facilities, provide education for both drug supervisors and TB patients, developing technology in conducting supervision, and increasing the number of health service facilities needs to be done as an effort to increase adherence of TB patients.
