This study discusses the risk perception of housewifes in RW.08 Bidaracina settlement towards fire hazards. This study takes on a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross sectional design. The aim of this study is to illustrate the risk perception of housewifes in RW.08 settlement towards fire hazards and factors relating to their risk perceptions, such as voluntary acceptance, potential impacts, knowledge, control, dread, severity, and newess of risk. Research was conducted on March-April 2017 involving 110 respondents. Results of this study concludes that generally, the risk perception of housewifes in the RW.08 settlement are categorized as good, even if there are still some respondents with bad risk perceptions. A good perception in the housewifes of RW.08 relates to having good knowledge, voluntary acceptance of fire hazard risks, the ability of assessing the impact of fire hazard risks with catastrophic potential, the ability to control risks, having dread towards risks, the ability to assess the severity of risk impacts, and the ability to judge the dangers of fire being a new concept.

Hazard of fire and explosion in the laboratory using chemicals can result in death, disability, pollution, loss of assets, and loss to reputation. The cause is combustible, flammable chemic, explosive, and pyrophoric chemicals. To anticipate the dangersneed to be built a comprehensive fire protection system in the laboratory. Theresearch was conducted based on NFPA 45:2015 standard on fire protection systemfor laboratories using chemicals in the laboratory PT. XYZ. The method used inthis study is observation, discussion, and checklist developed. The aim is tocompare the standard of NFPA 30: 2015 by implementation made during it. Fromthese results will come by recommendation of a non-conform finding as correctiveactions in the future. Keywords: Laboratory, NFPA 45, Fire Protection, Flammable Chemicals,Combustible Chemicals
This study analysis implementation of fire safety system at A and B buildings PT X in 2020 using Fire Safety Evaluation System (FSES). The purpose of this study was to know the condition of fire safety system at A and B building PT X. The design research was a descriptive with approach to semi quantitative. The building A and B are buildings for office activities. The evaluation was carried out for 12 safety parameters according to NFPA 101A: Alternate Approaches to Life Safety with the NFPA 101: Life Safety Code standard. The parameters evaluated are building construction, hazard separation, vertical openings, sprinklers, fire alarms, smoke detectors, 2 interior finish, smoke control, exit access, evacuation routes, corridors/ compartment and emergency response programs. Additional analysis was also carried out on passive protection system, active protection system, and lifesaving facilities in building A and B. The result showed that the implementation of fire safety at A and B building PT X still met the minimum value of fire safety in the office building based on the mandatory requirements in FSES.
Fire accident of crude oil tank is one of major accident event resulting in fatality. A large scale of flammable crude oil tanks is operated by Company Z. This research is a quantitative risk assessment of fire accident on crude oil tank where the risk is defined by measurement of frequency and consequence. Event frequency is calculated based on event tree analysis result of fire accident on tank storage. The fire consequence and its impact to personnel working in control room is measured by using ALOHA software. A flammable crude oil is stored in a fixed cone roof tank located 70 meter from the control room. Major accident events which potentially occur in the facility are pool fire and vapor cloud explosion. Pool fire has significant impact to personnel working in control room based on consequence modelling. Both individual risk and societal risk are assessed based on possible failure scenarios. The risk assessment result of pool fire consequence to personnel within the facility is still within tolerable limit. A consistent implementation of risk control include process safety management should be maintained to ensure risk is always within tolerable risk
