Noise is a physical hazard which still a problem in the industrialized world. Exposure to high intensity of noise can affect hearing function and non-hearing function. PT. X is a cement industry possessing the noise hazard in the production area, especially at raw mill, kiln and finish mill area. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the noise exposure, as well as the auditory function and subjective complaints of non auditory perceived by workers. This study was conducted by cross sectional method, and the subjects of this study were all patroler workers for raw mill, kiln and mill finish area, which all 20 subjects participated in the study.
Hearing impairment in oil and gas workers is the main occupational diseases. Hearing impairment, among others caused by exposure to physical hazards of noise. This study aims to know the description of noise exposure and hearing impairment in workers at KE-5 Kodeco Energy Platform. The type of research is observational with cross sectional design which examined as well as the independent variable, dependent variable, and confounding variable at the same time.
Obtained noise level at KE-5 Platform which exceeds the TLV is in the range of 81 dBA to 103 dBA, noise dose of exposure that received by workers are still under the TLV is still in range of 70.4 dBA to 77.5 dBA, the level of noise exposure in KE-5 Platform exceeds the TLV by noise dose exposure that received by workers less than the TLV and obtained seven workers with impaired hearing function.
The chemical manufacturing industry is one of the industrial sectors with high hazard potential and complex work processes, requiring the implementation of a strong occupational safety system. One critical aspect that must be explored in depth is the level of safety culture maturity within a company. This study aims to analyze the maturity level of safety culture at PT. XYZ and identify the differences in perception and engagement among employees. The assessment was conducted using a questionnaire instrument consisting of various safety culture dimensions and elements, supported by data from interviews, focus group discussions, and document reviews. Based on the analysis results, the overall safety culture maturity level at PT. XYZ was found to be at level 3 or Calculative. This indicates that while the company has a structured and well-documented safety management system, safety values have not yet been fully internalized into daily work behaviors. In addition, the study found significant differences in perceptions across job levels and departments, where workers in operational roles had limited involvement in safety evaluation and organizational learning. Areas that require improvement include safety communication effectiveness, employee participation in incident analysis, and consistency in follow-up actions from findings and risk evaluations.

Exposure to noise is the most common cause of hearing loss, leading to noise induced hearing loss (NIHL). This study evaluated hearing loss associated with noise exposure related to age, length of employment, length of exposure, the use of personal protective equipment, smoking habits, hobbies associated noise and diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia and hypertension in workers. This is a cross-sectional observational study examined the independent variable, the dependent variable, and confounding variables at the same time. Using the company secondary data, through observation, measurement and questionnaire. Noise measurement results indicate that the potential area of potential noise is 63 dBA as the lowest noise and the highest is 110, 6 dBA, field noise level area ranging from 84.88 - 93 dBA. Nonfield noise area 79.5 dBA. Exposure effective noise below 80 dBA, either in the field or nonfield area; 7.1% of workers worked > 20 years, working life > 20 years, the hearing loss of workers 5.6%, workers aged > 40 years 40 is 5%. 42.9% of workers have a smoking habit, not found a relationship between smoking behavior with hearing loss. HPD consumption levels in workers earned as much as 90.5% of the workers who always wear APT, there is no relationship between the use of HPD with hearing loss. There were no relationship between hobby with hearing loss. As well as no relationship found between workers health status such as lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides), worker glucose blood levels and blood pressure with hearing loss.
