Stroke prevalence increased in 2013 in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) (16,9%) and Jawa Timur (16%) from 2007 (8,4%; 7,7%). This research was conducted to describe the comparison of the main determinant of stroke between DIY and Jawa Timur in 2013. This research used data from Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) 2013. The design of this study is cross-sectional. The respondents of this research are resident from DIY and Jawa Timur who are qualified from inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of this research showed that age, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, heart disease, education, and residence associated with stroke in DIY. Meanwhile, factors that have association with stroke in Jawa Timur are age, gender, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, heart disease, physical activity, smoking habit, and education. This research is expected to be a consideration in stroke prevention and control program in DIY and Jawa Timur.

One of the factors that can increase the success of the family planning program is the increasing number of women who use contraception and the reduced number of unmet need for contraception. It is known that the percentage of unmet need for contraception in NTT (17.6%) and DIY (6.3%) is the highest and lowest among the ten main national family planning provinces. This study was conducted to determine whether there are determinants of the unmet need for contraception in NTT and DIY. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design and uses secondary data from the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) in 2017. The number of samples in this study was 1,043 women (513 in NTT and 530 in DIY). The results showed that the proportion of women experiencing unmet need for contraception in NTT was 17.6%, of which 9.8% were for thinning and 7.7% for restriction. Meanwhile, the proportion of women who experienced unmet need for contraception in Yogyakarta was 6.3%, of which 1.8% for thinning and 4.4% for restriction. Factors related to unmet need for contraception in NTT were discussions with husbands (RO = 1.790; 95%CI = 1.24-2.58). Meanwhile, there are no factors related to the unmet need for contraception in DIY.

Disparities in maternal health services are still a problem in Indonesia. The K4 coverage of Antenatal Care (ANC) program from 2012 to 2017 has decreased. However, it shows that the K4 ANC coverage has begun to meet the Ministry of Health Strategic Plan target in 2017. Based on data from the IDHS and the Indonesian Health Profile, it stated that some regions in Eastern Indonesia are still facing this problem. Papua, West Papua, Maluku and North Maluku itself are some provinces are always in top 10 provinces with the lowest K4 ANC coverage. The four provinces also had never met the targets of the Ministry of Health Strategic Plan since 2007, 2012, and 2017. This study aims to look at the factors that influence the level of ANC visit adherence in reproductive age women in 4 Provinces in 2012 & 2017. The sample is used in this study are the women in reproductive age in the 2012 & 2017 IDHS that are living in 4 provinces, married or are living together with their partner, and have their in the last 5 years. The number of samples in the study were 1,001 respondents in the 2012 IDHS & 1,167 respondents in the 2017 IDHS. This study itself use chi-square and multiple logistic regression. The results showed that maternal education and maternal knowledge had a consistent influence on the adherence of ANC visits for respondents in 2012 and 2017. In 2012, there are other factors that also affected ANC visit adherence in reproductive age women, namely participation in decision making and economic status. Whereas in 2017, there are also other factors that influence ANC visits adherence to reproductive age women, namely health insurance, parity, and husband support.

The focus of this study is discusses about the effects of long-term contraception (MKJP) on fertility in young women aged 15 to 24 who are married. The implementation of the family planning program until now can’t control the fertility in Indonesia, and can’t reached the target by Indonesia government, seen from the TFR in Indonesia until now was 2.4. This condition differs from reaching the level of contraceptive use (CPR), which is higher than the goal, one of the causes is still low expectations of knowledge and attitudes using the MKJP contraceptive method as the choice of the best contraceptive tool compared to others. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design, sampel in this research was 1396 respondent. The results have a relation signifikan between and the use of MKJP on the fertility of married female adolescents in Indonesia after control the ideal number of children with OR 3.4-fold, so goverment must in order to improve the quality of KB expecially MKJP services.
