According to estimates of the International Labour Organization (ILO), at the global level more than 2.78 million people die per year from occupational accidents or work-related diseases. Based on data released by BPJS, work accidents in construction increased from 114,000 in 2019 to 177,000 accidents in 2020. This study aims to determine the level of maturity of safety culture in workers at PT. XYZ. Research is semi-quantitative with a descriptive research design. The data collected from the results of the FGD, Questionnaire, document review & Observation was then carried out an in-depth analysis. There are 19 variables that will be tested in this study. Based on the results of measuring the level of maturity of safety culture obtained by PT. XYZ is at the calculative level with the majority of variables being at the calculative level except the K3L reward variable, training &compensatory, application and use of the standard are at the reactive level. Based on the criteria of 20 variables tested in this study, the maturity level of pt. XYZ is at the level of being calculative, which is to enter the starting point in the direction of a culture of safety.
Stres kerja adalah respon buruk seseorang secara fisik maupun emosional, ketika kompetensi pekerja tidak mampu memenuhi tuntutan pekerjaan yang diberikan. Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu, pekerja di industri garmen juga memiliki risiko mengalami stres kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara faktor risiko psikosisal dengan kejadian stres kerja pada pekerja PT X, sebuah perusahaan garmen di Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Faktor yang diteliti antara lain faktor individu, faktor konten kerja, faktor konteks kerja, dan faktor effort-reward. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed method dengan desain studi the explanatory sequential. Pengumpulan data kuantitatif dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner dan wawancara dilakukan untuk pengumpulan data kualitatif. Pengolahan data menggunakan uji chi-square dengan software SPSS 27.0 untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan yang siginifikan antara variabel independen dengan variabele dependen. Berdasarkan uji statistik, didapatkan prevalensi stres kerja sebesar 24,9% pada responden secara keseluruhan, sebesar 26,5% pada tim produksi, dan 18,2% pada tim supporting. Variabel yang berhubungan dengan stres kerja pada pekerja secara keseluruhan antara lain: lingkungan dan peralatan kerja (p= 0,004); desain tugas (p= 0,042); beban kerja (p= 0,001); jadwal kerja (p= 0,001); pengembangan karir (p= 0,001); hubungan interpersonal (p= 0,034); status pernikahan (p= 0,003); dan effort-reward (p= 0,002). Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan tindak lanjut berupa penerapan manajamen stres kerja dari tingkat manajemen, terutama pada faktor yang berhubungan dengan stres kerja, untuk mencegah kejadian stres kerja yang lebih besar.
Work-related stress was an bad someone physically or emotionally, when workers ability unable to meet the demands of jobs provided. Based on the research before, workers in the garment industry also have the risk of experiencing work stress. This study attempts to analyze the relationship between the psychosocial risk factors with work stress on workers PT X, a garment company in Semarang, Central Java. The individual factors, the content of work factors, the context of work factors, and the effort-reward factors was included in this study. Mixed method were used with the explanatory sequential design study. Quantitative data collected by using questionnaire and interviews performed for qualitative data collection. Data processing uses a chi-square test with software SPSS 27.0 to analyze if there's any significant connection between independent variables and dependent variable. By statistical test, prevalence of work stress prevalence is 24.9 % on all respondents, 26.5 % on production team, and 18.2 % on supporting team. Variables associated with work stress include: environment and work equipment (p = 0.004 ); task design (p = 0,042 ); workload (p = 0.001 ); work schedule (p = 0.001 ); career development (0.001 ); interpersonal relationship (p = 0.034 ); marital status (= 0.003); and effort-reward factor (p = 0,00). Based on this research, the company needs to implemented stress management program, especially on the factors associated with work stress, to prevent more stress from happening. Tujuan : Pekerja di RS P merupakan pekerja yang harus menghadapi situasi kerja yang sangat berisiko terjadinya kejadian bullying dari berbagai pihak dan menuntut perfoma yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai hubungan Workplace Bullying, Psychological Distress, dan Job Performance pada pekerja di RS P. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian cross-sectionaldengan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan secara acak kepada kelompok pekerja yang bekerja di RS P dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 195 orang. Data yang terkumpul kemudian diolah menggunakan tabel distribusi frekuensi, cross tabulasi dan dianalisis hubungannya dengan metode uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat korelasi positif (signifikansi 0,000) dengan kekuatan korelasi yang cukup (0,412) antara Workplace Bullying dengan Psychological Distress. Namun tidak terdapat korelasi (signifikansi 0,350) terkait kejadian workplace bullying dengan peningkatan maupun punurunan dari job performance pekerja di RS P.Tidak terdapat korelasi antara psychological distress dengan job performance (signifikansi 0,158).Mayoritas responden tidak mengalami bullying (84,6 %), tidak mengalami psychological distress (77,4 %), danjob performance dari pekerja di RS P mayoritas sesuai standar yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan (93,8 %). Kesimpulan : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara variabel independen dengan variabel dependen masih dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor mediator yang lain. Walaupun didapatkan kejadian bullying yang rendah di RS P,manajemen harus tetap waspada dan segera bertindak untuk mengidentifikasi dan mencegah terjadinya perilaku bullying tersebut.Hal ini penting untuk mencegah terjadinya korban bullying dan penerapan program anti bullying yang tepat di tempat kerja, sehingga tingkat psychological distress tidak meningkat dan job performance tetap terjaga dengan baik. Disamping itu perlunya meningkatkan motivasi pekerja dan fasilitas-fasilitas yang didapat oleh pekerja, sehingga mengurangi dampak bullying di tempat kerja maupun psychological distress di RS P
Objective : Workers in RS P are workers who have to face a work situation that is very risky for bullying from various parties and demands high performance. This study aims to assess the relationship between Workplace Bullying, Psychological Distress, and Job Performance on workers at RS P. Methods : This study is a cross-sectional study using a questionnaire that was distributed randomly to groups of workers who work in RS P with a total of 195 respondents. The collected data was then processed using a frequency distribution table, cross tabulation and analyzed its relationship with the Spearman correlation test method Results : The results showed that there was a positive correlation (significance 0.000) with sufficient correlation strength (0.412) between Workplace Bullying and Psychological Distress. However, there is no correlation (significance 0.350) related to the incidence of workplace bullying with an increase or decrease in the job performance of workers at RS P. There is no correlation between psychological distress and job performance (significance 0.158). The majority of respondents did not experience bullying (84.6 %), did not experience psychological distress (77.4% %), and the job performance of the workers in RS P was the majority according to the standards set by the company (93.8 %). Conclusion : The results of the study indicate that the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is still influenced by other mediator factors. Even though there is a low incidence of bullying in RS P, management must remain vigilant and act immediately to identify and prevent the occurrence of bullying behavior. This is important to prevent bullying victims and to implement appropriate anti-bullying programs in the workplace, so that the level of psychological distress does not increase and job performance is maintained properly. Besides that, it is necessary to increase the motivation of workers and the facilities obtained by workers, thereby reducing the impact of bullying in the workplace and psychological distress at RS P..
Nurse is one of the profession with high level of burnout, Montgomery et al (2010) state at least 1 out of three nurses will have burnout at some point in their career. Burnout is a serious problem and associates with negative outcomes for the worker, their family, their clients, and for the organization it self. Therefore, this research is conducted to evaluate the determinant factors and their correlation with burnout. This research used cross sectional method, located in RSAU dr. Esnawan Antariksa on 2017. Population of this study is 129 people, and the sample is 74 respondents. Data was collected by questionnaire that is adapted from COPSOQ II, QPS Nordic, and Oldenburg Burnout Inventory. Univariate analysis showed by highest proportion among its group, age > 30 years old (58.1%), woman (89.2%), DIII (87.8%), married (75.7%), and tenure < 10 years (75.7%). Bivariate analysis showed that emotional demand (p=0.02; r = 0.360), role stress (p=0.000; r = 0.820), social support (p=0.000; r = -0.623), and reward & recognition (p= 0.000; r = -0.657) has significant correlation with burnout.
The result of this study showed that job demand (emotional demand and role stress) have a positive correlation with burnout, while job resource (social support and reward & recognition) have a negative correlation with burnout.
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) have the highest proportion of 45% - 91 % in most countries (Eurostat,2004; Aweto 2015). Awkward posture is the main cause of this MSDs. Chemical Process Industry is one work station in which awkward work posture is often found. The present study discusses more thoroughly on risk factor on awkward posture as information and basic model for ergonomic improvement at PT X. The risk factors studied included risk factor of individual, work and workplace design. This study uses descriptive qualitative analysis using oberservational approach. Instrument used was Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) with interview, observation and measurement. The study was conducted at 2 (two) work stations namely Toluenesulfonyl Hydrazide (TSH) and Azodicarbonamide (ADCA) reaction. Research result revealed that the most risky work posture was in weighing and packaging activity of Azodicarbonamide in the ADCA work station with score of 15. Improvement using work rotation, work variation, ergonomic training and provision of tools is highly recommended to overcome awkward posture.
