Background: The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has not officially ended, and due to the apparent underestimation of protective behavior, it is imperative to continuously promote public awareness and implement health protocols to control its spread. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the community's risk perception and experiences of COVID-19 transmission in Indonesia. Methods: This cross- sectional study was conducted from July to August 2022 using an online survey. The questionnaire was developed based on a standard questionnaire (ECOM, 2015) on the risk perception of an infectious disease outbreak. It was then distributed through various social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. Result: This study revealed that there were more female respondents than men (61.3%), held bachelor’s degree (38.5%), work in private company (32.3%), and been infected by Covid (43.8%). Respondents who have risk perception score above average is 60%. According to all ten risk perception distribution data, most respondents considered COVID-19 a threat. Wearing mask, regularly wash hands, physical distancing, and stay at home still options and effective to prevent the transmission. This showed that most respondents had intense COVID-19 transmission directly or indirectly. Conclusion: Although most of respondents worry of Covid-19 transmission, they stated ready for transmission and aware how to control and prevent the transmission. To April 2021, COVID 19 cases in Indonesia reaches 1.668.368 with the death cases are 45.334. The increasing death cases due to COVID 19 worldwide and the presence of 14 employess exposed to COVID 19 in the project area specifically encouraged this study. This study aims to observe the relationship between individual factors and the risk perception againts COVID-19 among the employess in LRT Project PT X during April May 2021. The results revealed that based on the individual factors, the composition of the respondents are 83,3% of male, aged 20 30 years old (56,7%), hold a bachelor degree (58,3%), have not infected with COVID 19 (88,3%), and do not have a chronic disease (100%). Overall, the risk perception of the respondents is relatively high (51,7%; n=62), and as much as 48,3% (n=58) of respondents have low risk perception against COVID 19. The result of the risk perception analysis showed that the factor of age has a significant relationship with the level of risk perception, level of knowledge, potential impact, readiness and self-efficacy, fear, severity, and voluntary of risk. The factor of gender is significantly related to readiness and self-efficacy, novelty, and severity. The education level is known to have a significant relationship with the entire variabels of risk perception. However, the factor of COVID 19 infected history is significantly related to the knowledge level, control over risk, and novelty
This thesis analyses the adherence of operational workers in a public transportation operator in Jakarta. This study aims to analyze and explain the determinants of adherence to a health protection policy during the COVID-19 pandemic within 2020-2021. Using a cross-sectional design, this study was conducted in Jakarta from January to May 2022 with 100 respondents to participate. The collected data was analyzed by Chi Square and multiple logistic regression analysis. This study found 51% of the workers adheres and 49% of which not adheres to health protection policy at PT X. Chi Square analysis found determinants of adherence are sex, age, education background, risk perception, social support, availability and access to facilities and infrastructure and health protection viii policy. Meanwhile, multiple logistic regression found availability and access to facilities and infrastructure is the most influencing factor to adherence. Developing risk communication, imposing a measurable and evident saction, conducting two ways communications between management and workers, and creating service level agreement are some suggested measures to ensure and improve the worker’s adherence to health protection policy.
Since year 2020 and during COVID-19 pandemic period, in Indonesia, mask usage is mandatory for every working activites including in industry. Hence, mask usage is mandatory in PT.X including for physical activities and based on local/government regulation also breathability aspect, PT.X decided to use 3 ply medical mask as standard mask. From pre observation that had already been conducted revealed that from 12 physical workers as respondent, 92% were experiencing health issue during wearing the mask. Then, this condition proves that wearing the mask during physical activity resulting new hazard that need to be mitigated properly. The purpose of researcher in this thesis is to find relation between 3 ply medical mask usage through %CVL (cardiovascular load) measurement with subjective health issue of physical workers. The result of this research from crosstab analysis between variable ?health issue type? vs ?%CVL? shows meaningful relation with interpretation the higher of %CVL from physical activity will impact to higher risk of negative health issue (tired quickly until shortness of breath). Then, for crosstab analysis between variable ?experiencing health issue times? vs ?%CVL? shows meaningful relation with interpretation the higher of %CVL from physical activity will make respondent feel subjective health issue faster. While, for other parameters (worker characteristic and workplace area characteristic in PT.X) vs variable of ?health issue type? and ?experiencing health issue times? show no meaningfull relation and interpretation. Hence, in general, we can conclude that there is meaningfull relation between 3 ply mask usage through %CVL measurement with health issue of physical workers. The higher of %CVL value or more tired condition of the physical worker resulting more severe for the health issue such us feel tired quickly until shortness of breath and in term of the time, worker will get this health issue faster in one work cycle. Considering this condition, the %CVL value can be as refference/baseline to do reassessment regarding hazard and risk for mask usage during physical work/activity in the workplace area to find further sufficient mitigation.
Fatigue is a feeling where a person feels very tired or sleepy caused by various risk factors such as insufficient sleep hours, high work demands, long periods of work, social demands, or experiencing prolonged stress and depression. This study aims to analyze the factors related to fatigue among healthcare workers working at the East Jakarta District Health Center during the Pandemic COVID-19. The factors studied included individual characteristics (gender, age, and health status) and occupational factors (rest hours, work shifts, sleep quantity, side jobs and commuting times). This study used a cross sectional research design and data was collected by distributing online questionnaires. Among 131 healthcare workers who were respondents in this study, it was found that 50.4% of healthcare workers felt fatigue. In addition, there is a relationship between health status (P value = 0.041) and commuting times (P value = 0.039) with the incidence of fatigue.
