The under-five mortality rate was used to measure child survival and also reflects the social, economic, and environmental conditions where children live. The under-five mortality rate in Indonesia is still high which is 32 per 1,000 live births, means the under-five mortality rate in Indonesia has not yet reached the target set by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which is 25 per 1,000 live births. This study aims to identify the factors associated with under-five mortality in Indonesia from 2012 to 2017 with a cross-sectional study design and uses secondary data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Surveys. The analysis was carried out on all samples of the last child aged 0-59 months living with the mother selected as the respondent. The results of the analysis followed by a multiple logistic regression test showed that the proportion of under-five mortality in Indonesia was 1.8% with the variable that has the biggest correlation, namely the history of breastfeeding (AOR: 22.26, 95% CI: 16.72-29.64) and a significant correlation was found in the mother's employment status, type of cooking fuel, sex of the child, and birth weight. Therefore, there is a need for health services and promotion for mothers so they can prepare for health services and promotion for mothers so they can prepare for pregnancy such as information about fulfilling the nutrition needed during pregnancy to prevent babies born prematurely and also increasing knowledge about the types of unsafe cooking fuels that cause disease in children until it ends a dead.

Perinatal Mortality Rate (PMR) is one of the indicators that can be used inassessing health status of a nation. This is because perinatal mortality is quite high contributed to Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). In Indonesia, there is no deriving of PMR in last ten years (2002-2012). The design used in this research was crosssectional study. This research used secondary data of IDHS 2012 with three stagecluster sampling technique. Samples taken were 15.340 respondents with 1.420 respondents experiencing perinatal death and 14.010 respondents were born aliveand did not experience early neonatal death. The results showed that there isassociation between maternal education, age, parity, pregnancy complication, delivery complication, premature, birth weight, early initiation of breastfeeding, and frequency of antenatal visits with perinatal mortality. Delivery complicationis the highest risk factor in affecting perinatal mortality.Key words:Perinatal, stillbirth, complication, antenatal

The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women should decrease, considering the number in Indonesia has included a severe public health problem (43.2%). The cause of anemia in pregnant women is greater due to iron deficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to take iron supplementation or blood-added tablets for pregnant women to prevent the risks posed by iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women. Based on the 2017 IDHS report, it is known that the consumption of blood-added tablets according to the health recommendations of pregnant women is only 44% and this figure is still far from the 2015-2019 Strategic Plan target. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the consumption of blood-added tablets in pregnant women in Indonesia. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design and the use of data from the 2017 Indonesian Health Demographic Survey. The analysis in this study was carried out using descriptive statistics, chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results showed that the proportion of pregnant women who consumed at least 90 tablets added blood was 44.1% (42.8% -45.4%). There is a significant relationship between the consumption of blood-added tablets with wealth index, area of residence, marital status, frequency of ANC visits, time of first ANC, parity, and husband's support. The most dominant factor related to the consumption of blood-added tablets is the frequency of ANC visits. Therefore, health care workers need to provide education to pregnant women to do ANC as often as possible which is part of the program of giving blood-added tablets to control their health during pregnancy to prevent the risk of iron deficiency.

Population growth projections indicate that Indonesia will be among the countries expected to experience significant increases. Lowering the Total Fertility Rate (TFR) is one of the strategies to manage population growth effectively, and TFR serves as a key performance indicator in controlling population numbers. One of the factors influencing TFR is the unmet need for contraception, which is directly related to contraceptive use and birth rates. The level of unmet need for contraception in Indonesia is still far from the targeted goal. Between 2021 and 2023, there was a notable difference in the reduction of unmet need for contraception between Riau Province and the Riau Islands Province. Riau Province successfully reduced the unmet need for contraception by 7.81%, whereas the Riau Islands Province only managed a reduction of 3.12%. This is noteworthy because both provinces share similar characteristics, such as culture and societal habits, given that the Riau Islands Province was carved out from Riau Province. Research findings highlight that in Riau Province, the factors most associated with the occurrence of unmet need for contraception are exposure to family planning information from health workers (AOR 0.030, CI 95% 0.010-0.084) and discussions with husbands (AOR 2.833, CI 95% 1.352-5.934). In contrast, in the Riau Islands Province, employment status (AOR 1.639, CI 95% 1.011-2.660) and place of residence (AOR 2.554, CI 95% 1.034-6.306) are the strongest factors associated with the unmet need for contraception.
