Gunungan sampah setinggi 50 meter di TPST Bantargebang bertindak sebagai reaktor anaerobik yang menghasilkan gas toksik Hidrogen Sulfida (H2S). Aktivitas ekskavasi mekanis di area tersebut berpotensi melepaskan gas H2S secara mendadak ke atmosfer, sehingga berisiko menimbulkan gejala keracunan pada pemulung melalui jalur inhalasi. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan paparan gas H2S terhadap gejala keracunan pada pemulung di TPST Bantargebang Tahun 2026. Sebanyak 106 sampel dari 6 zona diambil menggunakan teknik Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling, lalu diuji dengan Chi-Square dan ukuran kekuatan hubungan Prevalence Ratio (PR). Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan rata-rata konsentrasi H2S ambien sebesar 0,015 ppm, di mana Zona 5 (0,0270 ppm) dan Zona 3 (0,0264 ppm) telah melampaui Baku Tingkat Kebauan nasional berdasarkan Kepmen LH No. 50 Tahun 1996. Gejala keracunan dialami oleh 38,7% pemulung, didominasi oleh keluhan mual/muntah (57,5%) serta pusing/sakit kepala (42,5%). Uji statistik membuktikan adanya hubungan signifikan antara pajanan gas H2S (p = 0,014) dan riwayat penyakit (p < 0,001) dengan gejala keracunan. Analisis multivariat mengonfirmasi bahwa pajanan gas H2S konsentrasi tinggi (> 0,02 ppm) merupakan faktor risiko independen yang meningkatkan risiko gejala keracunan sebesar 4,713 kali lipat setelah dikontrol oleh variabel jarak rumah dengan sumber pencemar dalam model akhir (aOR = 4,713; 95% CI: 1,80 – 12,31; p = 0,002).
The 50-meter-high waste mountain at TPST Bantargebang acts as an anaerobic reactor producing toxic Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas. Mechanical excavation in this area potentially triggers an abrupt release of H2S gas into the atmosphere, posing an inhalation poisoning risk to scavengers. This quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach aims to analyze the correlation between H2S gas exposure and poisoning symptoms among scavengers at TPST Bantargebang in 2026. A sample of 106 respondents across 6 zones was selected using Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling, with relationships analyzed using the Chi-Square test and Prevalence Ratio (PR). Results showed an average ambient H2S concentration of 0.015 ppm, where Zone 5 (0.0270 ppm) and Zone 3 (0.0264 ppm) exceeded the national Odor Level Standard (Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 50/1996). Poisoning symptoms were reported by 38.7% of scavengers, predominantly nausea/vomiting (57.5%) and dizziness/headaches (42.5%). Statistical tests revealed significant correlations between poisoning symptoms and both H2S gas exposure (p = 0.014) and medical history (p < 0.001). Multivariate analysis confirmed that high-concentration H2S exposure (> 0.02 ppm) serves as an independent risk factor, increasing the risk of poisoning symptoms by 4.713 times after adjusting for the distance between residences and the pollution source in the final model (aOR = 4.713; 95% CI: 1.80 – 12.31; p = 0.002).

Abstrak:
Sampah masih menjadi sumber masalah kesehatan dan lingkungan di Indonesia,meskipun sudah dikelola di Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu (TPST). Salahsatunya masalah penyakit kulit yang banyak diderita oleh pemulung. Pemulungmerupakan salah satu pekerjaan yang berisiko terkena gangguan kulit akibatkontak langsung dengan kondisi lingkungan yang tidak sehat. Data PuskesmasKecamatan Bantargebang tahun 2014 menunjukan bahwa terdapat 1.961kunjungan ke puskesmas dengan keluhan penyakit kulit diantaranya pemulungTPST Bantargebang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif denganpendekatan cross sectional yang dilakukan dari bulan Februari sampai Juli 2016.Sampel penelitian yang digunakan sebanyak 300 responden. Tujuannya adalahmenganalisis hubungan personal hygiene dan karakteristik individu dengankejadian penyakit kulit. Metode dalam pengambilan data menggunakan kuesionerdan lembar observasi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dilakukan uji statistikdengan rumus chi square dan t independent. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa62,3% pemulung menderita sakit kulit dan 37,7% pemulung tidak sakit kulit.Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian penyakit kulit pada penelitianini adalah waktu kerja (9,98;4,374-22,774), kebersihan pakaian (9,49;4,693-19,205), dan penggunaan alat pelindung diri (4,32;2,248-8,284). Disarankankepada pemulung TPST Bantargebang untuk menghindari intensitas waktu kerjapada siang hari, lebih memperhatikan perilaku hidup bersih, serta menggunakanalat pelindung diri sesuai standar. Pihak pengelola TPTS Bantargebang yangbekerja sama dengan Puskesmas Kecamatan Bantargebang harus lebihmeningkatkan pengawasan dan penyuluhan tentang kesehatan kulit kepadapemulung.

Abstrak:
Latar belakang. Sampah yang menumpuk di tempat pembuangan akhir dapat mengakibatkan tercemarnya lingkungan dan berisiko terhadap kesehatan penduduk setempat. Salah satu penyebab tercemarnya adalah air lindi. Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu (TPST) Bantar Gebang terletak di Kecamatan Bantar Gebang, Bekasi, Jawa Barat. TPST Bantar Gebang mengolah air lindi di Instalasi Pengolahan Air Sampah (IPAS). Metode. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui efisiensi pengolahan air lindi serta mengetahui kadar kadmium dan beberapa parameter lainnya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pengambilan sampel pada inlet, outlet dan air permukaan pada hari berbeda. Penelitian ini juga ditambah data pengukuran yang dilakukan TPST Bantar Gebang. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan baku mutu PerMenLH nomor 5 tahun 2014 dan PerMenLHK nomor 59 tahun 2016 untuk air lindi sedangkan air permukaan dengan baku mutu PP nomor 82 tahun 2001. Baku mutu air bersih mengacu pada PerMenKes nomor 416 tahun 1990. Hasil. Pada penelitian menunjukkan kadar kadmium, suhu, pH, TSS, TDS, BOD dan COD pada outlet tidak melebihi baku mutu. Namun pada air permukaan kadar BOD dan COD tinggi, hal tersebut dapat disebabkan adanya limbah industri dan rumah tangga. Tingkat efektivitas pada hari senin, TDS 87,76%; TSS 82,58%; BOD 98,28%; COD 98,24%. Pada hari rabu, TDS 77,84%; TSS 78,02%; BOD 95,61%; COD 95,92%. Pada hari jumat, TDS 85,47%; TSS 78,7%; BOD 97,43%; COD 97,58%. Hasil pengukuran oleh TPST Bantar Gebang pada September 2017 pada IPAS 1, IPAS 2 dan IPAS 3, menunjukkan ada beberapa parameter yang kadar outletnya lebih tinggi dibandingkan inlet. Hasil pengukuran oleh TPST Bantar Gebang pada Oktober 2017 pada hulu, tengah dan hilir sungai Asem dan sungai Ciketing, menunjukkan pada hulu dan hilir, parameter yang diukur kadarnya tinggi. Hasil pengukuran Bantar Gebang pada September 2017 pada air sumur masyarakat, pada beberapa titik sampel, kadar TDS dan coliform tinggi. Kesimpulan. Pengolahan air lindi dilakukan menggunakan bak ekualisasi, bak fakultatif, bak aerasi, polishing pond, bak pengendap, bak pengolahan kimia dan biologi, kolam lumpur dan sand filter. Waste which accumulates in landfills can lead to contamination of the environment and risk to the health of the local population. One cause of contamination is leachate. Integrated Waste Treatment Plant (TPST) Bantar Gebang is located in Bantar Gebang District, Bekasi, West Java. Bantargebang TPST treated leachate water in Waste Water Management Site (IPAS). Method. This research was conducted to know leachate water treatment efficiency and to know cadmium content and some key parameters. This study was conducted by sampling on inlet, outlet and surface water on different days. This study also added measurement data conducted by TPST Bantar Gebang. The results were analyzed and compared to the regulatory standards of the Minister of Environment No. 5 of 2014 and No. 59 of 2016 for leachate water, while the surface water with the quality standard of PP number 82 of 2001. The standard of clean water quality refers to the regulatory of the Minister of Health No. 416 of 1990. Result. The results showed cadmium, temperature, pH, TSS, TDS, BOD and COD at outlets do not exceed the quality standard. However, in surface water whose high of BOD and COD, it can be caused by industrial and household waste. The effectiveness level on Monday, TDS 87.76%; TSS 82.58%; BOD 98.28%; COD 98.24%. Effectiveness level on Wednesday, TDS 77.84%; TSS 78.02%; BOD 95.61%; COD 95.92%. Effectiveness level on Friday, TDS 85.47%; TSS 78.7%; BOD 97.43%; COD 97.58%. The results of Bantar Gebang measurement in September 2017 on IPAS 1, IPAS 2 and IPAS 3, indicate that there are some parameters whose outlet content is higher than inlet. The results of Bantar Gebang measurement in October 2017 on upstream, middle and downstream of Asem and Ciketing rivers show upstream and downstream, measured parameters are high. The results of Bantar Gebang measurement in September 2017 on community clean water, at some sample points, TDS and coliform levels are high. Conclusion. Leachate treatment is using equalization basin, facultative basin, aeration basin, polishing pond, sedimentation basin, chemical and biological treatment basin, mud pool and sand filter. Air merupakan kebutuhan esensial yang harus dipenuhi untuk kelangsungan hidupmanusia. Namun, pelayanan air bersih di wilayah Bekasi khususnya KelurahanSumur Batu, Kecamatan Bantargebang sebagian besar menggunakan sumursebagai sumber air minum dan kebutuhan sehari-hari lainnya. Mangan dan besimerupakan zat gizi esensial yang dibutuhkan oleh tubuh tetapi apabila dikonsumsidengan jumlah berlebih dapat bersifat toksik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodeanalisis risiko kesehatan lingkungan untuk mengestimasi pajanan mangan danbesi dan tingkat risiko kesehatan yang diterima dari air minum pada pendudukdewasa di pemukiman sekitar tempat pembuangan akhir Bantargebang, KotaBekasi. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menguji korelasi antara mangan, besi, TDS,DHL, dan pH sehingga ditemukan persamaan linear untuk memperkirakankeberadaan mangan atau besi. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh penduduk usiadewasa yang tinggal di sekitar TPA Bantargebang. Penentuan sampel denganmenentukan kriteria inklusi yaitu penduduk usia lebih dari 18 tahun danmengonsumsi air sumur minimal 2 bulan. Pengambilan sampel dengan cara nonrandom sampling dan quota sampel. Sampel lingkungan adalah air sumur yangberada di rumah tangga terpilih sebagai responden. Selain itu, dilakukanpengambilan data antropometri berupa laju asupan, durasi pajanan, dan beratbadan. Jumlah asupan mangan dan besi pada populasi penelitian belummemenuhi angka kecukupan gizi masing-masing yaitu 0,26 dan 0,02 mg/l. Darihasil perhitungan estimasi risiko didapatkan hasil bahwa tingkat risiko mangandan besi di sekitar TPA Bantargebang tidak berisiko atau aman. Selain itu,diperoleh dari uji korelasi hubungan yang signifikan antara mangan dengan pH,DHL, dan TDS (p<0,05) sehingga ditemukan persamaan linear sederhana untukmasing-masing variabel.

Penerapan sistem open dumping dalam pengelolaan sampah dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi kesehatan lingkungan dan masyarakat. Umumnya, TPA di Indonesia masih menggunakan sistem open dumping, termasuk TPA Cipayung Kota Depok. Pada tahun 2025, Kota Depok berencana untuk merevitalisasi TPA Cipayung dengan menambah fasilitas pengolahan sampah yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi volume sampah yang masuk ke TPA. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kesiapan transformasi TPA Cipayung menjadi TPST dan mengetahui strategi yang tepat untuk keberlanjutan TPST tersebut. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode analisis SWOT melalui perhitungan bobot dan rating pada faktor kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman berdasarkan aspek pengelolaan sampah dalam teori Integrated Sustainable Waste Management (ISWM). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara secara mendalam 4 orang pengelola TPA Cipayung dan 8 orang masyarakat Kota Depok, observasi langsung ke TPA Cipayung, serta telaah dokumen milik TPA Cipayung dan DLHK Kota Depok. Hasil analisis SWOT diperoleh bahwa nilai Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) sebesar 0,519 dan nilai External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) sebesar -0,117. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa persiapan transformasi TPA Cipayung menjadi TPST berada pada Kuadran II. Posisi kuadran ini bermakna bahwa TPA Cipayung disarankan untuk menerapkan strategi diversifikasi, yaitu menggunakan kekuatan internal untuk mengatasi ancaman. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa proses transformasi TPA Cipayung menuju TPST sudah cukup siap (S), namun perlu berhati-hati karena banyaknya tantangan dari eksternal (T).
Implementing the open dumping system in waste management can negatively impact environmental and public health. Most landfills (TPA) in Indonesia still use the open dumping system, including the Cipayung Landfill in Depok City. In 2025, Depok City Government plans to revitalize the Cipayung Landfill by adding waste treatment facilities to reduce the volume of waste entering the landfill. The aim of this study is to analyze the readiness for transforming the Cipayung Landfill into an Integrated Waste Treatment Facility (TPST) and to identify appropriate strategies for ensuring its sustainability. Data analysis was conducted using the SWOT analysis method by calculating the weights and ratings of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats based on waste management aspects within the Integrated Sustainable Waste Management (ISWM) framework. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with 4 Cipayung Landfill officers and 8 residents of Depok City, direct observation at the Cipayung Landfill, and document reviews from the Cipayung Landfill and the Depok City Environmental and Hygiene Department (DLHK). The results of the SWOT analysis showed that the Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) score was 0.519, while the External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) score was -0.117. This indicates that the readiness for transforming the Cipayung Landfill into a TPST falls into Quadran II. This position suggests that the Cipayung Landfill should to implement a diversification strategy, utilizing internal strengths to overcome external threats. The conclusion of this study is that the transformation process of the Cipayung Landfill into a TPST is fairly well-prepared (S), but caution is needed due to the significant number of external challenges (T).

Usaha peternakan merupakan usaha yang memberikan peranan penting bagi kehidupan pokok manusia. Menurut data BPS Jawa Barat tahun 2023, memiliki populasi ternak ayam petelur sejumlah 9.496.122. Peternakan menjadi salah satu sumber pencemaran udara melalui bau yang mengandung amonia. Pajanan amonia dapat menyebabkan gangguan pernapasan bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat risiko pajanan NH3 dengan gangguan pernapasan pada masyarakat sekitar peternakan ayam di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sukamakmur, Kabupaten Bogor tahun 2025. Metode yang digunakan dengan pendekatan ARKL dan EKL (mixed methods) dengan desain studi cross sectional dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 96 orang. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan tingkat risiko pajanan NH3 pada efek non karsinogenik pada 4 titik (RQ <1) yang artinya tidak memiliki risiko terhadap kesehatan. Perhitungan RQ dengan konsentrasi 0,021 mg/m3 ≈ 0,03 ppm, pada masyarakat dengan berat badan 58,31 kg dan bermukim di rumahnya selama 24 jam/hari dalam 365 hari selama 38,48 tahun dengan nilai RQ (RQ= 0,014) menunjukkan dalam batas aman. Skor dari gambaran gangguan pernapasan menunjukkan bahwa adanya gangguan pernapasan sedang pada responden (20,50). Analisis bivariat menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara intake dengan gangguan pernapasan (p= 0,490) dengan arah dan kekuatan yang lemah dan berpola searah (r= 0,071).
Livestock business is an effort that plays an important role in human life. According to BPS data from West Java in 2023, it has a population of 9,496,122 laying hens. Farms are one of the sources of air pollution through odors containing ammonia. Ammonia exposure can cause respiratory distress for the community. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of risk of NH3 exposure and respiratory disorders in the community around chicken farms in the working area of the Sukamakmur Health Center, Bogor Regency in 2025. The method used was with the ARKL and EKL approaches (mixed methods) with a cross sectional study design and a sample of 96 people. The results of this study obtained the level of risk of NH3 exposure to non-carcinogenic effects at 4 points (RQ <1) which means that there is no risk to health. The calculation of RQ with a concentration of 0.021 mg/m3 ≈ 0.03 ppm, in people with a body weight of 58.31 kg and living in their homes for 24 hours/day in 365 days for 38.48 years with an RQ value (RQ = 0.014) showed within safe limits. The score from the description of respiratory distress showed that there was moderate respiratory distress in the respondents (20.50). Bivariate analysis showed no significant association between intake and respiratory distress (p= 0.490) and weak and unidirectional direction and strength (r= 0.071).
