Estimated air pollution originates from motor vehicle emissions, In Indonesia is 70%.. Meanwhile, the greatest impact of the air is pencemaraan respiratory distress. This research will be conducted on the correlation results of vehicle emissions, air quality and meteorological factors on the incidence of respiratory infections, during 2010. In addition it also conducted a survey of knowledge, attitudes and behavior (KAB) against 311 vehicle owners regarding vehicle emissions testing activities. After analyzing known incidence of ARI in Jakarta is 93 cases/1000 population, with the largest events in the area of Central Jakarta (215 cases/1000 population). While the analysis found in South Jakarta, 23.6% of motor vehicle with year of manufacture 2007 and up, did not pass the emissions test. Meanwhile, the air quality in Central Jakarta has a level of concentration of CO, SO2, O3 and NO2 Keywords: are higher than in other regions. The highest incidence rate of ARI in August 2010 (96.9 cases/1000 population). Similarly, the percentage of vehicles with year of manufacture 2007 and up, which did not pass the emissions test in August 2010 reached its highest point at 50%. This correlation is statistically significant (P=0,0005). It is suggest for vehicles owner to check their vechicle routinely/ doing emissions test, so that its can reduce pollution in Jakarta.
Water is an essential to meet domestic needs. However, it is difficult to access drinking-water that is as safe as practicable. Especially for people who live on the small islands. One source of clean water that can be used is rainwater. This quantitative descriptive study was to describe the quality of rainwater used as drinking water and the health conditions of the community at X Island, Kepulauan Seribu. Biological parameters (E. coli), chemical parameters Selenium (Se), Manganese (Mn), Fluoride (F), and Sulfate (SO4). Data collection on supporting parameters for treatment, condition and quality of rainwater harvesting used a questionnaire with a total of 90 respondents. Then, secondary data related to public health conditions with indicators of diarrhea and its relation to the incidence of stunting due to damage to intestinal villi and causing malabsorption of nutrients will be accessed from the Island X Community Health Center. After laboratory tests and univariate analysis, the quality of rainwater on X Island contains E. coli were detected and essential mineral concentrations were detected in very small amounts so it can be related to stunting due to mineral deficiencies and persistent diarrhea.
Various ways in which to improve sanitation and environmental preservation Soekarno Hatta Airport, one of them with the concept of eco-airport. Components that should be considered at the concept of eco-airport is on the processing of waste. The purpose of this study is to describe the quality parameters of wastewater processed Wastewater Treatment Soekarno Hatta Airport. This research uses qualitative study design using primary data and secondary data. The results showed Wastewater Treatment Soekarno Hatta Airport through the processing stage introduction, the first stage of processing, the processing of the second stage and third stage processing. Characteristics of wastewater produced that contained the physical characteristics of the suspended solids. Chemical characteristics of which are organic materials such as proteins, fats, oils, also found heavy metals, nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater Soekarno Hatta Airport. Parameters that do not qualify throughout 2015 that the parameters pH in April and November, the pH value below the quality standard

Mother and Child Resti Mulya Hospital in managing Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) with aerob-anaerob biofilter system in 2014. This research discuss effectiveness of Waste Water Treatment Plant Installation at Resti Mulya Hospital. This research is an observational description with cross sectional approach. The result of the research on the effluent quality for TSS, COD, BOD, Oil and fat parameters do not exceed the quality standard specified by Jakarta governor regulation No. 69/2013 and regulation of environment minister number 05/2014. As for amonia and total Coliform parameters exceeded standard Quality set. The average quality of effluent for each parameter are TSS 22,96 mg/L, amonia 8,90 mg/L, oil and fat 0,995 mg/L, COD 50,61 mg/L, BOD 15,43 mg/L, and the total Coliform is 5,838 MPN/100 ml. While based on laboratory analysis, efficiency of decreasing pollutant level for each parameter are : TSS 25,27%, ammonia 56,26%, oil and fat 50,37%, COD 54,36%, BOD 34,17% and total colimorm amounted to 60,81%.The percentage of WWTP efficiency can be known not only based on outlet results but by regularly testing the inlet. If the ammonia, BOD, and COD parameters exceed the predefined quality standard, then the action that can be done is to improve the aeration system and perform treatment by adding a neutralizing agent such as PAC.
