The patient?s complaints regarding the lack of attitude and care of a nurse emerges due to the un fulfillment of bio-psycho-social-spiritual needs. This should not happen if nurse cares to the need of patient. In other hand, a nurse is an individual whose job is affected by his work environment, in this case, internal environment of organization as a consequence of assignment method employed. This research is aimed at proving a hypothesis of the association among work loads; interpersonal relationship; and leadership as a consequence of assignment method employed, and caring attitude of non intensive care unit nurse of Muhammad Husni Thamrin Internasional Salemba Hospital. This research employs cross sectional design. Chi Square Test was employed to analyze the association among work loads, interpersonal relationship and leadership; and caring attitude of the assigned nurse. Regression logistic was employed to see which variable is dominant toward caring attitude of assigned nurse. The population is the assigned nurse at non intensive care unit with total sampling of 42 taken from five rooms. Research instrument is made in the form of questioner which is developed from the previous research and nursing management theories to measure nurse-work-loads, inter personal relationship, leadership and Watson Caring Theory to measure nurse caring attitude according to the perception of assigned nurse. The validity and reliability of the instrument were tested at Puri Cinere Hospital. The result of the research shows that the proportion of 47.6% respondents have caring attitude while 52.4% have less caring attitude. Three (3) independent variables have significant association with caring attitude perceived by respondent. Interpersonal relationship and work loads variables are the strongest connected and significantly dominant variables. This research concludes that the less interpersonal relationship and the more work loads will cause the less caring assigned nurse. Therefore this research recommends Muhammad Husni Thamrin Internasional Salemba Hospital, to be specific the Assigned Nurse to consider the importance of communication especially therapeutic communication and work priority as Nursing Ethics in order to improve caring attitude of nurse in the frame work of enhancing the quality of nursing care. Dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pelayanan rumah sakit diperlukan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Proses pelaksanaan pelayanan kesehatan perlu melibatkan seluruh karyawan. Perawat merupakan salah satu tenaga kesehatan di rumah sakit yang langsung berhubungan dengan pasien dan jumlahnya yang terbesar dari seluruh karyawan rumah sakit maka perannya sangat dominan dalam menentukan kualitas pelayanan rumah sakit.Maksud penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kepuasan kerja, kinerja dan karakteristik individu perawat. Serta mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dan karakteristik individu terhadap kinerja perawat Rumah Sakit Ketergantungan Obat Jakarta. Tingkat kepuasan dilihat secara umum dan dari masing-masing dimensi kepuasan kerja yaitu kepuasan terhadap imbalan, pekerjaan itu sendiri, pengembangan diri, hubungan interpersonal dan pengawasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Analisis statistik dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat.Hasil dari analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa perawat yang tidak puas (46,9%). Ketidakpuasan terhadap pengawasan adalah paling tinggi yaitu sebesar 71,5%. Sedangkan hasil pengukuran kinerja diperoleh gambaran sebagian besar di bawah rata-rata (53,1%). Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan kerja berhubungan dengan kinerja perawat. Diantara dimensi kepuasan kerja didapatkan bahwa kepuasan terhadap pekerjaan dan pengawasan berhubungan bermakna dengan kinerja perawat. Selain itu ditemukan adanya hubungan bermakna antara karakteristik individu yaitu antara umur dengan kinerja dan antara umur dengan kepuasan kerja. Dengan hasil tersebut diatas maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kepuasan kerja dan umur akan mempengaruhi kinerja perawat Rumah Sakit Ketergantungan Obat Jakarta.Disarankan agar dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pelayanan maka perlu lebih ditingkatkan kinerja tenaga keperawatan dengan menjalankan sistem pengawasan yang baik dan pelaksanaan reward and punishment yang tentunya harus diikuti oleh komitmen dari seluruh staf di Rumah Sakit Ketergantungan Obat Jakarta.
Correlation of Work Satisfaction and Individual Characteristics with Nurse Performance at Drug Dependence Hospital Jakarta Year 2002 Qualified manpower is needed in order to enhance hospital service quality. The process of health services involves the whole staff and nurses specially as they interact directly with the patients and so also determine the quality of service.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the job satisfaction, performance and individual characteristics of the nurses and whether there is a correlation between satisfaction and individual characteristics with nurses? performance at Drug Dependence Hospital Jakarta. Degree of satisfaction is evaluated generally and from every dimension of satisfaction namely of income, the job itself, personal development, interpersonal relationship and supervision. This study is a cross sectional quantitative with univariate and bivariate analysis.Results of univariate analysis show that more nurses (46,9%) are unsatisfied. Un-satisfaction of supervision is the highest, namely 71,8%. Most nurses performed below average (53,1%). Results of bivariate analysis show that satisfaction is correlated with performance. And that satisfaction of one's work itself and supervision correlates significantly with nurses? performance. Besides that, the result show significant correlation between age and nurses performance. This study also revealed significant correlation between age and job satisfaction. The conclusion of this study is that job satisfaction will influence nurses? performance and that this correlation is also influenced by the age factor.Enhancing nurses? performance is advised by improving nurses? management in general and good supervision besides implementing reward and punishment system to motivate nurses? performance and certainly must be followed by commitment of the whole staff of Drug Dependence Hospital Jakarta.
