Abstrak:
Kombinasi dari temperatur lingkungan kerja, panas metabolik dari tubuh pekerja,pakaian kerja, dan faktor individu dapat menimbulkan tekanan panas (heat stress)bagi pekerja di area peleburan, proses sekunder, dan pengecoran SSP PT KrakatauSteel. Tekanan panas berpotensi menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan (heat-relateddisorders) yang diawali dengan berbagai respon fisiologis tubuh (heat strain)berupa gejala-gejala atau keluhan yang dirasakan secara subjektif oleh pekerja.Penelitian dilakukan pada 51 orang responden dengan desain studi cross sectional deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden yang mengalami tekanan panas adalah 36 orang dari 51 responden (70,6%) di area peleburan danproses sekunder. Seluruh responden merasa bahwa suhu lingkungan kerja mereka panas dan 74,5% responden merasa tidak nyaman (terganggu) dengan kondisi panas tersebut. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan berbagai upaya pengendalian dari segiteknis, administratif, maupun penyediaan alat pelindung diri untuk meminimalisasi risiko timbulnya keluhan yang dirasakan pekerja akibat tekanan panas.

Abstrak:
PT American Standard Indonesia merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang sanitary manufactur yang memproduksi peralatan sanitasi seperti closetdan wastafel. Salah satu tahapan produksinya yaitu pencetakan (casting) sertapembakaran yang suhunya dapat mencapai 20000C. Hasil menunjukkan indeks WBGT in rata-rata area Kiln dan Cast Shop antara 30.710C-33.80C dengan polakerja pekerja 50%-75% serta beban kerja yang masuk dalam katagori sedang halini dapat menyebabkan pekerja mengalami heat stress. Heat stress dapatdipengaruhi oleh faktor suhu lingkungan yang tinggi, kelembaban, kecepatan angin, pola kerja, beban kerja, serta pakaian kerja. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengethuipengendalian heat stres yang telah dilakukan perusahaan terhadap pekerja di areaKiln dan Cast shop di PT American Standard Indonesia. Hasil Penelitian berupaanalisis faktor penyebab heat stress dan pengendalian heat stress yang telahdilakukan di area Kiln dan Cast Shop PT American Standard Indonesia serta evaluasi terhadap program pengendalian yang telah dilakukan. Pengeboran panas bumi, sumur minyak dan gas sangat dikenal sebagai proyek dengan risiko kerja yang tinggi dan membutuhkan biaya yang sangat besar. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan secara kuat bahwa manajemen kepemimpinan keselamatan kerja mempengaruhi sukses dari behavioral safety processes. Peran kepemimpinan di departemen Drilling dalam mengerjakan projek pengeboran akan menjadi salah satu tolok ukur keberhasilan terkait dengan hasil positif keselamatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode kualitatif untuk melakukan analisis tiga faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap safety leadership yaitu personality, transformational leadership style, dan best practices pada posisi Head dan Assistant Head. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan April-Juli 2020 di departemen Drilling PT. X melalui wawancara mendalam, telaah dokumen dan pengamatan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakteristik sikap (personality) yang dimiliki oleh pimpinan kurang optimal pada karakteristik ketahanan emosi, bersikap terbuka, berorientasi pada pembelajaran dan sikap berhati-hati. Karakteristik gaya kepemimpinan transformasional pada pimpinan kurang optimal pada karakteristik ikut terlibat. Karakteristik praktik terbaik yang dimiliki oleh para pimpinan masih kurang optimal pada karakteristik tanggung jawab. Untuk meningkatkan karakteristik safety leadership, maka perlu adanya pelatihan ulang mengenai safety leadership bagi para pimpinan untuk menyegarkan kembali pemahaman yang kurang optimal tentang safety leadership, mengkaji ulang job description yang ada dan mengembangkan Job description safety leadership yang lebih terukur dan penilaian atau audit safety leadership di departemen drilling PT. X.
Geothermal, oil and gas drilling are known as projects with high work risks and require high costs. Several studies strongly indicate that safety leadership management influences the success of behavioral safety processes. The leadership role in the Drilling department in working on drilling projects will be one of the benchmarks of success related to positive safety outcomes. This study is a qualitative method approach to analyze three factors that influence safety leadership, namely personality, transformational leadership style, and best practices in the position of Head and Assistant Head. Data was collected in April-July 2020 in the Drilling department of PT. X through in-depth interviews, document review and observation.
The results showed the characteristics of personality possessed by the leader is less than optimal on the characteristics of emotional resilience, extroversion, learning orientation and conscientiousness. The characteristics of transformational leadership styles are less than optimal on the characteristics of Engaging. Characteristics of best practices are still not optimal in terms of accountability characteristics. To improve the characteristics of safety leadership, it is necessary to have retraining on safety leadership for leaders to refresh the suboptimal understanding of safety leadership, review existing job descriptions and develop a more measured Job description of safety leadership and an assessment or audit of safety leadership in drilling department of PT. X.

Sektor manufaktur lebih mungkin menghadapi tantangan implementasi keselamatan akibat sifat operasionalnya yang berisiko tinggi. Oleh karena itu, pengukuran iklim keselamatan perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa baik upaya keselamatan dijalani dan dipahami oleh pekerja. Iklim keselamatan mencerminkan persepsi bersama pekerja terhadap nilai, kebijakan, dan praktik keselamatan di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan gambaran iklim keselamatan pada bagian produksi PT X berdasarkan enam dimensi: komitmen manajemen, komunikasi keselamatan, peraturan dan prosedur keselamatan, lingkungan yang mendukung, akuntabilitas personal, serta pelatihan keselamatan, serta mengidentifikasi dimensi yang perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang, menggunakan kuesioner oleh Lestari et al. (2020) yang diisi secara mandiri oleh pekerja. Jawaban responden kemudian dilakukan analisis uji beda mean. Besar sampel ditentukan dengan metode stratified random sampling menggunakan rumus Slovin. Dari 81 responden, didapatkan bahwa iklim keselamatan pada pekerja di bagian produksi PT X termasuk dalam kategori baik (5,14 dari 6,00). Tidak ditemukan perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan antarkelompok demografi, kecuali pada persepsi komitmen manajemen antarkelompok masa kerja. Komitmen nyata dari manajemen terhadap keselamatan berperan penting dalam upaya keselamatan kerja. Namun, masih diperlukan peningkatan pada akuntabilitas personal dan pelatihan keselamatan untuk meningkatkan upaya keselamatan di PT X.
The manufacturing sector is more likely to face challenges in safety implementation due to its high-risk operational nature. Measuring safety climate is essential to evaluate how well safety efforts are understood and practiced by workers. Safety climate reflects employees’ shared perceptions of safety values, policies, and practices in the workplace. This study aims to assess the safety climate among production workers at PT X, focusing on six dimensions: management commitment, safety communication, safety rules and procedures, supportive environment, personal accountability, and safety training, and to identify areas needing improvement. A quantitative, cross-sectional design was used, employing a self-administered questionnaire adapted from Lestari et al. (2020). Data from 81 respondents were analyzed using mean difference tests. The safety climate was rated as good, with a mean score of 5.14 out of 6.00. No significant differences were found across demographic groups, except for perceived management commitment, which varied by length of service. Findings highlight the importance of genuine management commitment in fostering a strong safety culture. However, improvement is still needed in personal accountability and safety training to enhance overall safety performance at PT X.
