Abstrak:
This study aims at describing the choice and selection of a language and its varieties, from the point of view of the kinds of constraints and the utterance of the speakers in the Javanese speech community in the three villages in Surakarta municipality. This study is based on the assumption that in a Javanese speech community there are at least two languages playing the role as communicative codes i.e. Javanese and Indonesian. In the communication process one choose between Javanese and Indonesian or the varieties of the two. The two languages and their vanities cannot be used haphazardly in all events and in all situations ; The uses of those languages must conform to social, cultural, and situational fact-ors found in Javanese society. Such lack constraints in using a particular variety of a language signals a trend of the selection of language i.e. for what specific purpose a speaker uses a language and in what situation he/she uses another. The selection of language in a society constitutes one of the features that shows a diglosic situation. In Javanese society the selection of a language is still colored by the deviation utterances of their speakers, due the interference phenomena from Javanese elements into Indonesian. Such phenomena lead to an impression that there is still an overlapping use of Javanese and Indonesian by speakers in general. the overlapping use of the two languages in the Javanese speech community of the-three villages of Surakarta indicates that the disglosic situation is not yet steady. The application of extra linguistic constraints on the choice and selection of a language is based on the concept of the components of speech, proposed by Dell Hynes (1972), and on its elaboration by Poedjosoedarmo (1979). And the analysis of speech deviation is based on the interference phenomena as discussed by Weinreich (1968), Dittmar (1976), and hababan {1977). By those approaches, the choice and selection of language and it constraints and tha application in the utterances would be able to be explained, and the social, cultural, and situational background of the unstable diglosic situation in Javanese speech community of Surakarta can be examined.

Abstrak:
Leptospirosis adalah salah satu penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Leptospira. Leptospira merupakan bakteri patogen yang dapat ditularkan dari hewan kepada manusia, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Pada tahun 2015, terdapat 366 kasus leptospirosis di Indonesia. DKI Jakarta merupakan salah satu provinsi dengan jumlah kasus leptospirosis yang tinggi. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari bidang penanggulangan dan pencegahan penyakit Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi DKI Jakarta pada tahun 2016 sampai Agustus tahun 2019 terdapat 94 kasus leptospirosis yang tersebar di wilayah DKI Jakarta. Jumlah kasus terbesar terdapat di wilayah Jakarta Barat dengan total kasus sebanyak 70 kasus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh lingkungan dan perilaku masyarakat terhadap kejadian leptospirosis di Jakarta Barat tahun 2019. Studi ini menggunakan desain penelitian kasus kontrol. Data kasus diperoleh dari surveilans Suku Dinas Kesehatan Jakarta Barat. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 140 responden yang terdiri dari 70 responden yang menderita leptospirosis (kasus) dan 70 responden yang tidak menderita leptospirosis (kontrol) dengan perbandingan 1:1. Pada analisis bivariat diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pengetahuan (OR=18,789), pekerjaan (OR=31,875), riwayat luka (OR=20,842), keberadaan tikus (OR=12,143), kondisi rumah (OR=5,510), kondisi selokan (OR=13,235), keberadaan genangan air (OR=7,400), sarana air bersih (OR=3,947), kondisi tempat pembuangan sampah (OR=8,800), dan riwayat rekreasi (OR=0,294) terhadap kejadian leptospirosis. Pada analisis multivariat diperoleh hasil pekerjaan, adanya riwayat luka, keberadaan genangan air, keberadaan hewan peliharaan dan riwayat rekreasi memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kejadian leptospirosis. Pekerjaan merupakan faktor dominan terjadinya leptospirosis di Jakarta Barat (OR 210,840:95%CI 8,685-5118,379). Abstrak:
Nyamuk Aedes aegypti diketahui selalu memilih air bersih sebagai habitat perkembangbiakannya. Akan tetapi, dengan adanya perubahan lingkungan nyamuk Aedes aegypti mulai beradaptasi sehingga dapat bertelur pada air selokan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimental yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai pH yang mendukung siklus hidup Aedes aegypti pada air selokan. Sampel penelitian adalah telur Aedes aegypti dan air selokan domestik. Air selokan dibagi menjadi 8 kelompok tingkat pH (4-11) dengan 5 replikasi dan diisi dengan 30 butir telur Aedes aegypti. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada dua titik lokasi dengan perbedaan suhu. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji One-way ANOVA dan uji T Independen. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan hidup Aedes aegypti optimal pada pH 5-8. Durasi fase telur tersingkat pada pH 11 (1,10 hari) dan pH 6 (1,80 hari). Durasi fase larva tersingkat pada pH 6 (7,03 hari) dan pH 8 (5,64 hari). Durasi fase pupa tersingkat pada pH 9 (3,44 hari) dan pH 8 (3,22 hari). Terdapat perbedaan rata-rata durasi siklus hidup pada fase telur, larva, dan pupa yang signifikan di antara setiap tingkat pH air selokan. Kesimpulannya adalah nyamuk Aedes aegypti mampu berkembangbiak pada air selokan dengan pH 4-11. Suasana air yang cenderung basa merupakan tingkat pH optimal yang mendukung siklus hidup nyamuk, dengan rentang pH 6-9.

However, with the change in environment, the Aedes aegypti mosquito starts to adapt to be able to lay eggs in sewer water. This research is an experimental study that aims to determine the pH value that supports the Aedes aegypti life cycle in sewer water. The research sample is Aedes aegypti eggs and domestic sewage water. Sewer water is divided into 8 groups of pH levels (4-11) with 5 replications and filled with 30 eggs. The study was conducted at two points with temperature differences. Data were analyzed using One-way ANOVA test and Independent T test. The results showed that the optimal survivability of Aedes aegypti was at pH 5-8. The duration of the egg phase is shortest at pH 11 (1.10 days) and pH 6 (1.80 days). The duration of the larval phase was shortest at pH 6 (7.03 days) and pH 8 (5.64 days). The shortest pupal phase duration was at pH 9 (3.44 days) and pH 8 (3.22 days). There are significant differences in the average life cycle duration in three life cycle phases between each pH level of sewage water. The conclusion is that the Aedes aegypti mosquito can grow in sewer water with a pH of 4-11. Water that tends to be alkaline is the optimal pH level that supports Aedes aegypti life cycle, with a pH range of 6-9.
