Low Back Pain is one of the leading causes of disability that often requires long-term medical rehabilitation. However, the frequency of rehabilitation visits among Low Back Pain patients enrolled in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program remains suboptimal. This study aims to describe the visit frequency and analyze the factors associated with the frequency of medical rehabilitation visits among JKN participants with Low Back Pain at referral health facilities (FKRTL). This is a non-experimental quantitative study with a cross-sectional design conducted from February to June 2025, using secondary data from the 2024 BPJS Kesehatan Sample Data. The results showed that the majority of LBP patients (65,1%) had a low frequency of rehabilitation visits, indicating poor adherence to therapy. Variables such as age, gender, marital status, residential region and area type, class of care entitlement, participant segmentation, type of FKRTL, and ownership status of FKRTL were significantly associated with the frequency of rehabilitation visits (p < 0.05). These findings highlight the need to strengthen monitoring systems for the utilization of medical rehabilitation services, both to address non-adherence and to identify potential overutilization in specific facilities or patient segments.
This thesis discusses the case of Low Back Pain (LBP) among workers in the oil company PT. XYZ in Sumatra. Data of workers diagnosed by LBP by a company doctor is obtained by searching manually, either from a colleague or from other information. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with respondents. The interview was conducted by telephone due to social restrictions in the work area of the respondents and researchers. The results showed there were differences that were suspected to be the cause of LBP cases in each respondent. Some respondents have risk factors that are thought to be related to their daily work activities in the office while other respondents have risk factors that are thought to be unrelated to their daily work activities in the office. It can be concluded that the work equipment of the respondents in the office is good and is in accordance with the needs of the respondents, where the positive side of the respondents feel safe to work. However, on the other hand requires improvements in the management of working hours and other habits outside the working hours of the respondents.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led to the implementation of work from home (WFH) policies almost worldwide. It is known that WFH is associated with the onset of musculoskeletal disorders in workers, one of which is low back pain (LBP). Globally, LBP being the cause of the occurrence of 60.1 million cases of living with disability (YLDs) in 2015, it is also estimated that around 568.4 million cases of LBP occur globally in 2019. Based on this situation, researchers are interested in examining the prevalence of LBP in office workers during the COVID-19 pandemic as a result of implementing WFH policies in various countries according to age, gender, and physical activity. This study was conducted using a systematic literature review with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic review and Meta-Analyse Protocols) review. Samples were obtained from databases subscribed to by the University of Indonesia, including Science Direct, Proquest, Scopus, Ebsco, Embase, and Cambridge Core, published from 2020 to 2022. A total of 5 literature articles were reviewed in this study. The prevalence of LBP for office workers in each article is 42.82%; 67.68%; 41.2%; 4.1%; and 21%. Risk factors associated with LBP include; age, gender, physical activity, ergonomic factors, inadequate work environment factors, such as temperature, humidity, lighting, noise, and duration of work.
