Minimum dietary diversity (MDD) is an indicator to measure the micronutrient density of children aged 6-23 months, which can be associated with nutritional problems. This study aims to analyze the determinants of not meeting the criteria of Minimum Dietary Diversity (MDD) in children aged 6 – 23 months in Indonesia. The design of study was cross sectional with a total sample of 10,800 children obtained from total sampling methods based on inclusion and exclusion criteria using secondary data from the Riskesdas 2018. The results of bivariate analysis showed a significant association between children's age (p < 0.0005), mother’s age (p = 0,01), mother's education level (p < 0.0005), father's education level (p < 0.0005), ANC frequency (p < 0.0005), place of delivery (p < 0.0005), PNC services (p < 0.0005), place of residence (p < 0.0005), and monitoring of children's growth (p < 0.0005) on MDD in children aged 6-23 months. Meanwhile, the results of the multivariate analysis showed that the most dominant factor in the achievement of MDD was the age of the child with p value < 0.0005 (aOR = 2.762, 95% CI: 2.507 – 3.043). The results of this study are expected to become an evidence based in the formulation of nutrition policies and programs, especially those related to IYCF.

Kata kunci: Stunting, sosial ekonomi, MDD, infeksi ABSTRACT Stunting is a condition of malnutrition in children who are chronic in the early stages of growth and development which is characterized by inhibited linear growth associated with increased morbidity and mortality. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the stunting determinants of toddlers aged 6-23 months in Sasak Subdistrict, Pasisie District, West Pasaman Regency in 2019. This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional design. The study sample was 127 couples of mothers and children aged 6-23 months. Stunting is measured using the HAZ indicator through body length anthropometric measurements, and questionnaire interviews. The results showed 33.9% of children aged 6-23 months had stunting, 76.4% of children under five did not get exclusive breastfeeding. The results of the chi-square analysis showed that there was a relationship between socio-economic (p-value 0.037), Minimum Dietary Diversity (MDD) (p-value 0.006), Minimum Acceptable Diet (p-value 0.05), and infection history (p-value 0.003) with the incidence of stunting. Logistic regression test showed MDD was a determinant of stunting in infants aged 6-23 months after being controlled by socioeconomic variables, MAD and history of infection (OR 3.646; 955CI: 1.421- 9,366). The suggestion of researchers for the West Pasaman District Health Office is to make efforts to increase the knowledge and abilities of mothers in the practice of breastfeeding and complementer feeding practice. Especially to be able to provide food that is diverse and sufficient in number Key word: Stunting, socioeconomic, MDD, infection
