Hypertension is one of diseases caused world health problems. The prevalence of hypertension is predicted will be increase. Hypertension in Indonesia are dominated by the female population. One of the risk factors caused hypertension is the use of hormonal contraception. This study aims to determine the association between the last birth hormonal contraception and the prevalence of hypertension. The research design was cross-sectional from January to June 2023 used the 2018 Riskesdas data. The exposed group was 45,178 respondents who used hormonal contraception and the unexposed group was 30,845 who did not use hormonal contraception. The results showed that there was a significant association between the use of hormonal contraception and the prevalence of hypertension after controlling for age and body mass index with AdjPR 1.10 (95% CI 1.06–1.12). This study also assessed the association between types of hormonal contraception including 3-month injection contraception with AdjPR value of 1.08 (95% CI 1.05-1.12); 1-month injectable contraception with AdjPR value of 0.99 (95% CI 0.93-1.05), implant contraceptive AdjPR 0.90 (95% CI 0.84-0.96), and contraceptive pill AdjPR 1.30 (95% CI 1.23-1.35). This is expected to illustrate the importance of choosing the right contraception to prevent the hypertension

Stroke is a non-communicable disease that becomes one of public health problems in the world, including in Indonesia. A group of risk factors that can be interacted together including central obesity, high triglyceride levels, low HDL levels, high GDP levels, and hypertension are known as metabolic metabolism (IDF, 2006). The person who has metabolic syndrome has a chance 3 times to have heart attacks and strokes (IDF, 2006). Meanwhile, according to IDF (2006) it is estimated that 20-25% of the adult population in the world having metabolic syndrome. This research aims to study the relationship between metabolic syndrome and stroke event in population aged ≥ 15 years old in Indonesia after being controlled by covariate variables. The design study of this research is cross sectional using data from Riskesdas 2018. The sample of this research that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria was 24,451 respondents. Based on the result of the analysis, the proportion of strokes based on the doctor's diagnosis is 1.2%. The proportion of metabolic syndrome obtained is 24.4%. There is a significant relationship between metabolic syndrome and the stroke event with a p value of 0.001 with a POR of 2.370 (95% CI: 1.8872,001), which means that respondents with metabolic syndrome has a chance or odds 2.370 times higher for stroke compared to respondents without metabolic syndrome. The results of multivariate analysis obtained a significant relationship between metabolic syndrome and stroke event (p = 0,000) with aPOR of 2,415 (95% CI: 1,883- 3,099) and obtained confounding variables such as gender and age. Metabolic syndrome can be an important factor to consider in efforts to prevent and control stroke event in Indonesia.

Improving maternal and child health is a global issue. Expanding access to immunization is very important in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Based on the 2018 Riskesdas data, the target of achieving complete basic immunization in East Java Province decreased from 2013 of 74.5% to 69.16% in 2018 while incomplete immunization increased to 26.27% from the previous year 2013 only 21.8 %. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the use of basic immunization in East Java Province. The research method used is quantitative with cross sectional design using secondary data from Riskesdas 2018 with the unit of analysis for babies aged 12-23 months with mother respondents as many as 1,245 respondents. The results of this study indicate that respondents who use basic immunization are 64.2% and those who are less use are 35.8%. Respondents are said to be using it if the immunization is complete and it is in the under-utilized category if the immunization received is incomplete and does not get immunized at all. In the bivariate analysis, it was found that ownership of the MCH booklet, access to health facilities and place of delivery had a significant relationship with the utilization of basic immunization health services in East Java. This is because these three factors have quite a lot of respondents on complete immunization status and are said to have succeeded in utilizing basic immunization health services in East Java. Suggestions to the East Java Provincial Health Office, especially health workers, should maximize the provision of information about the use and benefits of immunization in the MCH book so that it is conveyed properly, providing information to pregnant women to choose a place of delivery that meets accreditation standards so that the services of mothers and babies received maximally and increase the ease of access to comprehensive and quality health services so that they can be accessed by all people
Childhood obesity has become one of the most serious global public health challenges affecting every country in the world in the 21st century. In a period of 40 years, the number of school-age children and teenagers increased more than 10-fold. Obesity in children has various impacts on children's physical health, social and emotional well-being, self-confidence, academic achievement and quality of life. Obesity in children is related to various conditions such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, acute heart disease, asthma, and others. Obesity in children also has an impact on social and emotional health. This study aims to determine the dominant factors of overweight and obesity in pre-school children and school children aged 5-12 years in DKI Jakarta Province. This research uses secondary data sourced from the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas). The research design used was cross sectional with 1.136 samples obtained from total sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Bivariate analysis shows that in the 5-9 year age group, there are differences in the proportion of mother’s nutritional status, father’s nutritional status, and fried/fatty food consumption behavior on the incidence of overweight and obesity. In the 10-12 year and 5-12 year age groups, there are differences in the proportion of gender, mother's nutritional status, and father's nutritional status in the incidence of overweight and obesity. The dominant factor of overweight and obesity in the 5-9 year age group is the behavior of consuming fried/fatty foods (OR=1,490, 95% CI=1,039-2,135). The dominant factor for overweight and obesity in the 10-12 year and 5-12 year age groups is the father's nutritional status (OR= 1,956, 95% CI=1,339-2,857 and OR=1,674, 95% CI=1,301-2,155). Education on balanced nutrition needs to be encouraged for parents and children to prevent and control obesity in children aged 5-12 years.
