Abstrak:
Iron, potassium, zinc, and other minerals might impact the development of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) through multiple mechanisms, but few studies have evaluated these relations. We conducted a case-control study nested within the prospective Nurses' Health Study II (1991-2001). Participants were free from PMS at baseline. After 10 years, 1,057 women were confirmed as PMS cases and 1,968 as controls. Mineral intake was assessed using food frequency questionnaires completed in 1991, 1995, and 1999. After adjustment for calcium intake and other factors, women in the highest quintile of nonheme iron intake had a relative risk of PMS of 0.64 (95% confidence interval (CI): 0.44, 0.92; P for trend = 0.04) compared with women in the lowest quintile. Women in the highest quintile of potassium intake had a relative risk of 1.46 (95% CI: 0.99, 2.15; P for trend = 0.04) compared with women in the lowest quintile. High intake of zinc from supplements was marginally associated with PMS (for intake of ≥25 mg/day vs. none, relative risk = 0.69, 95% CI: 0.46, 1.02; P for trend = 0.05). Intakes of sodium, magnesium, and manganese were unrelated to PMS risk. These findings suggest that dietary minerals may be useful in preventing PMS. Additional studies are needed to confirm these relations.

Abstrak:
Asupan zat besi yang tidak adekuat merupakan faktor risiko terjadinya anemia defisiensi besi. Skripsi ini merupakan penelitian dengan desain studi cross sectional yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan asupan zat besi. Pada penelitian ini melibatkan responden sebanyak 189 siswi SMA Negeri 5 Depok. Pengumpulan data asupan zat besi melalui wawancara food recall 3x24 jam. Data dianalisis secara bivariat menggunakan uji t-independen dan regresi korelasi linier, sedangkan secara multivariat dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linier ganda. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan asupan zat besi yang signifikan berdasarkan pengetahuan gizi, konsumsi suplemen zat besi, persepsi citra tubuh, dan keterpaparan media massa. Pengetahuan gizi yang cukup, konsumsi suplemen zat besi, persepsi citra tubuh positif, dan peran keterpaparan media massa akan meningkatkan asupan zat besi. Anemia adalah suatu kondisi ketika konsentrasi hemoglobin dalam darah berada di bawah titik batas normal, dan rentan dialami oleh remaja putri karena rematri sedang dalam proses pertumbuhan yang pesat. Hasil Riskesdas 2018 menunjukkan bahwa kejadian anemia di Indonesia termasuk dalam masalah kesehatan masyarakat tingkat sedang (26,8%) sementara kepatuhan konsumsi TTD pada remaja putri sangatlah rendah (1,4%). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui prevalensi konsumsi TTD dan anemia serta faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan konsumsi TTD dan anemia pada remaja putri usia 10-18 tahun di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder Riskesdas 2018 dengan desain studi cross sectional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi anemia pada remaja putri usia 10-18 tahun di Nusa Tenggara Timur sebesar 13,9%. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada konsumsi TTD berdasarkan usia (p value = 0,000), tingkat pendidikan (p value = 0,030), dan tempat tinggal (p value = 0,000). Sementara itu, variabel yang berhubungan dengan anemia pada penelitian ini adalah konsumsi TTD (p value = 0,030). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menyarankan pemantauan konsumsi TTD, pengecekan kadar Hb, dan edukasi gizi pada remaja putri untuk dioptimalkan.
Anemia is a condition in which the haemoglobin (Hb) concentration in the blood is lower than normal cut-off values, which young women are prone to experience it because they are experiencing a process of rapid growth. The results of Riskesdas 2018 show that the incidence of anemia in Indonesia is a moderate public health problem (26.8%), while the compliance with iron supplement consumption in adolescent girls is very low (1,4%). The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of iron supplement consumption and anemia, and the factors associated with iron supplement consumption and anemia in young women aged 10-18 years in East Nusa Tenggara. This study used secondary data from the Riskesdas 2018 with a cross-sectional study design. The results of this study indicate that the prevalence of anemia in young women aged 10-18 years in East Nusa Tenggara is 13,9%. The results of the statistical tests showed that there were significant differences in the consumption of iron tablets by age (p value = 0,000), level of education (p value = 0,000), and place of residence (p value = 0,000). Meanwhile, the variable associated with anemia in this study was the consumption of iron tablets. From the study result, the writer suggests to optimizes iron supplement consumption monitoring, Hb levels checking, and nutrition education for adolescent girls.

Ibu hamil adalah salah satu kelompok yang paling rawan dalam berbagai aspek, salah satunya terhadap pangan dan gizi. Diperkirakan sebesar 20% kematian ibu berkaitan dengan rendahnya kadar hemoglobin (anemia gizi) selama kehamilan. Teh memiliki potensi sebagai penyebab anemia karena disinyalir mampu mengabsorbsi mineral sebagai bentuk zat besi yang dikaitkan dengan peranan tanin dalam akndungan teh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kadar tanin pada teh celup terhadap anemia gizi besi pada ibu hamil. Penelitian dilakukan dengan design Cross Sectional analytic. Responden terdiri dari 94 ibu hamil dengan usia kandungan > 16 minggu. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisa Cox Regression.

Abstrak:
Anemia merupakan salah satu masalah gizi, yang perlu mendapat perhatian khusus. Remaja putri termasuk golongan yang rawan menderita anemia karena mengalami mensturasi setiap bulan dan sedang dalam masa petumbuhan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektifitas suplementasi TTD program lama dan baru Kemenkes terhadap perubahan kadar hemoglobin siswi anemia di Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. Rancangan penelitian randomized control group pretest dan postest. Subyek penelitian dikelompokkan menjadi 2 kelompok perlakuan yaitu kelompok A (19 siswi) diberi suplementasi program lama (satu tablet per minggu dan satu tablet selama haid) dan kelompok B (19 siswi) diberi suplementasi program baru (satu tablet per minggu). Pemberian suplementasi TTD diminum di depan peneliti diberikan selama 8 minggu. Data asupan zat gizi diperoleh dengan kuesioner food recall, lama haid, lama menarche, kebiasaan minum teh atau kopi, pengetahuan tentang anemia dan TTD diperoleh melalui kuesioner berstruktur, kadar Hb awal dan akhir dengan cyanmethemoglobin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan efektifitas perubahan kadar Hb pada kedua kelompok intervensi (p=0.402) dan tidak ada hubungan bermakna antara variabel internal dan eksternal terhadap perubahan kadar hemoglobin siswi kecuali Hb awal (p=0.001) dengan rata-rata perubahan Hb siswi kelompok A sebesar 1.77 g/dl sedangkan kelompok B sebesar 1.44 g/dl. Kata kunci : zat besi , suplementasi, perubahan hemoglobin, anemia, remaja putri Anemia is one of the nutritional problems, which needs to be highly concerned. Adolescent girls are included to a group which is susceptible to anaemia because of their monthly menstruation and gowth periods. This study aims to investigate difference effectiveness between old and new programs of the ministry iron supplementation in changes hemoglobin level among anemic students in Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. Design of this study is randomized control group pretest dan posttest.Subjects were randomized into two groups, group A (19 subjects) old program supplementation ( once per week and once per day in menstrual period) and group (B) new program supplementation (once per week). Supplementation of iron tablet was given for a consecutive 8 weeks. Nutrient intake obtained with the food recall questionnaire, days menstruation, menarche, drinking tea or kopi , knowledge anemia and iron tablet through structured questionnaire and level of hemoglobin by cymenthemoglobin. The study shows no difference found in the change of hemoglobin level of the two groups (p=0.402) and internal and external variable were not significantly in the change of hemoglobin level except early hemoglobin with mean hemoglobin change in old program supplementation was 1.77 g/dl while in new program supplementation the change was 1.44 g/dl.
