Asam urat merupakan produk akhir dari metabolisme purin. Nilai normal asam urat serum pada wanita adalah 4,0 ± 1,0 mg/dl dan pada laki - laki 5,1 ± 1,0 mg / dl. Kadar asam urat dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya adalah karakteristik responden (usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, pengetahuan), asupan zat gizi (purin, protein, vitamin C, lemak, serat, asam folat),gaya hidup (kopi, soft drinks, olah raga, merokok) dan IMT. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor determinan terhadap kadar asam urat pada kelompok orang dewasa di Desa Pabuaran Gunung Sindur Bogor.
Disain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional dengan sampel sebanyak 66 responden. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2012. Analisis statistik deskriptif pada data numerik disajikan dalam bentuk rata-rata ± SD, sedangkan data nominal dan ordinal dalam bentuk proporsi.
Analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan uji t independen, ANOVA, korelasi pearson product moment dan regresi linear ganda dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor dominan. Rata-rata kadar asam urat responden 4,64 ± 1,19 mg/dl dengan rata-rata kadar asam urat pria yaitu 5,88 ± 1,30 dan wanita yaitu 4,31 ± 0,92. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara jenis kelamin dan merokok dengan kadar asam urat. IMT merupakan faktor dominan terhadap kadar asam urat setelah dikontrol usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, asupan purin rendah, dan asupan vitamin C.
Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism. Normal level of serum uric acid for women is 4,0 ± 1,0 mg/dl and for men is 5,1 ± 1,0 mg / dl. An elevated uric acid level can be caused by several factors of which is respondents characteristics (age, gender, level of education, knowledge), nutrient intake (purine, protein, vitamin C, fat, dietary fiber, folic acid), life style (coffee, soft drinks, sport, smoking) and BMI. This research was aim to know determinant factor of uric acid level at group of adult in Pabuaran Countryside, Gunung Sindur Subdistrict, Bogor Regency.
Research design used by cross sectional study with 66 sample. This research was performed on May-June 2012. Descriptive statistic analysis on numeric data were presented as mean ± SD, while nominal and ordinal data in proportion.

Anemia in pregnancy affects birth prematurity and low birth weight. Efforts to prevent maternal anemia with iron-folate supplementation program once a day, although pregnant women irregularly take supplements because side effects complaints as nausea and vomitted. This study aims to determine the effect of iron-folate supplementation program once a day and twice a week for hemoglobin concentrations of pregnant women in the Pringsewu district 2013. Is a quasi experimental research design (non-randomized pre test-post test control group design) in 96 pregnant women aged 20-35 years with a gestational age of 10-30 weeks were purposive sampling divided into three groups: TTD1, TTD2, and TTDF as many as 32 people each groups. Source of research data is the primary data measuring hemoglobin concentrations. Analysis using two different test mean and multiple linear regression. The result showed the biggest increase in hemoglobin concentrations in the group of pregnant women who were given ironfolate supplementation program plus folic acid supplementation twice a week. Therefore, recommended preventive maternal anemia with iron-folate supplementation program plus folic acid supplementation twice a week.
Blood sugar levels are not normal become important health problem, not least in patients with hypertension leading to serious complications of the disease such as diabetes. This study aims to determine the factors associated with blood sugar levels in patients with hypertension. This research was conducted at the health center Bojonggede, Bogor, West Java using cross sectional study design and purposive sampling method with a total sample of 105 people consisting of men and women aged 30-65 years including age group adults and elderly. The results showed that 30.2% of respondents have high blood sugar levels. There is a significant relationship between age (OR = 3.5 95% CI 1.361 to 8.890), gender (OR = 5.1 95% CI 1.655 to 15.570), the glycemic index (OR = 2.587 95% CI 1.089 to 6.141), and waist circumference on the incidence of blood sugar levels. Lifestyle modification is recommended such as exercise frequently and food consumption suitable with the guidelines of balanced nutrition. In addition, the consumption of foods and beverages with low and medium GI, monitoring body weight and waist circumference, and blood sugar tests are routinely highly recommended to prevent an increase in blood sugar levels.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi pekerja bahan kimia di PT. XYZ berisiko terhadap pajanan Benzena nonkarsinogenik (RQ = 1,7442) dan karsinogenik (ECR = 1,76 x 10-4) pada durasi pajanan lifetime. Diketahui hubungan yang bermakna antara pajanan Benzena terhadap normalitas kadar hemoglobin (p = 0,015) dan eritrosit (p = 0,000). Risiko ketidaknormalan kadar hemoglobin dan eritrosit berturut-turut pada populasi terpajan adalah 6,92 kali (95% CI:1,28?37,29) dan 21,53 kali (95% CI:4,46?103,90) dibandingkan populasi tidak terpajan. Selain itu juga diketahui hubungan yang signifikan antara kenaikan jumlah asupan Benzena terhadap penurunan kadar haemoglobin (rs = -0,433; p = 0,044) dan eritrosit (rs = -0,474; p = 0,026).
Disimpulkan bahwa risiko kesehatan nonkarsinogenik dan karsinogenik akibat pajanan Benzena pada populasi pekerja bahan kimia di perusahaan minyak dan gas PT. XYZ akan terjadi pada durasi pajanan lifetime. Terdapat hubungan antara pajanan Benzena dengan ketidaknormalan hemoglobin dan eritrosit.
Chemical contractor worker at the oil and gas company PT. XYZ is a population at risk to Benzene exposure due to its activities and work environment condition that possibly exposed by Benzene vapour. This research is aimed to estimate noncarsinogenic and carsinogenic risk level, complemented with blood counts abnormality analysisdue to Benzene exposure, then determining risk management shall be done. The research is cross sectional study was done to all chemical contractor worker at PT. XYZ, consist of 22 person, and additional 22 person as a control was selected from employee of PT. XYZ working at the same location. The research yield that chemical worker population at PT. XYZ is at risk to the noncarsinogenic (RQ = 1.7442) and carsinogenic (ECR = 1.76 x 10-4) Benzene exposure at the lifetime exposure duration.
Its known that there is a correlation between Benzene exposure with normality of haemoglobin (p = 0.015) and erythrocytes (p = 0.000). The risk of abnormality haemoglobin and erythrocytes counts is 6.92 times (95% CI:1.28?37.29) dan 21.53 times (95% CI:4.46?103.90) respectively compare to the non exposed population. In addition, its identified that there is a significant correlation between increased Benzene intake to the haemoglobin (rs = -0.433; p = 0.044) and erythrocytes (rs = -0.474; p = 0.026) counts reduction.
In summary noncarcinogenic and carcinogenic health risk due to Benzene exposure in the population of chemical worker at the oil and gas company PT. XYZ will occure at the lifetime exposure duration. There is a correlation between Benzene exposure with abnormality of haemoglobin and erythrocytes.
