Occupational safety is a crucial aspect of company operations, especially in the electricity sector which carries a high level of risk. This study aims to examine the relationship between safety leadership and safety perception on safety behavior among workers at the PT X site in 2025. A semi-quantitative approach was employed using a survey method with questionnaires completed by 87 respondents. Data were analyzed using Spearman and Pearson correlation tests. The results indicate a positive and significant relationship between safety leadership and safety behavior (r = 0.227; p = 0.035), as well as between safety leadership and safety perception (r = 0.579; p = 0.000). However, no significant relationship was found between safety perception and safety behavior (r = 0.149; p = 0.169). These findings suggest that safety leadership plays an important role in shaping workers’ safety behavior, both directly and indirectly through safety perception. Interviews with key persons also support the conclusion that leadership engagement and role modeling are key drivers of a positive safety culture. The study recommends that the company improve the effectiveness of safety leadership through targeted training, active leadership involvement, and continuous evaluation of safety programs. Future research is encouraged to explore other variables that may mediate or moderate the relationships among these constructs.
The high rate of unsafe actions and unsafe conditions encountered by PT X over the past year indicates that the company needs to build more positive safety climate. These factors pose a significant risk of occupational accidents. This study aims to assess the safety climate at PT X by exploring workers' perceptions of safety using NOSACQ-50. PT X has never measured the safety climate. This study is semi-quantitative study with cross-sectional study design. In 124 samples, proportionate stratified random sampling was used so that each stratum in the population could be represented proportionally. The findings revealed that the overall safety climate at PT X was categorized as good, with an average score of 3.34. This indicates that the majority of workers possess a positive perception of safety. The highest score was observed in the dimension of workers’ commitment to safety, reflecting a strong individual commitment to safe behavior. However, workers' perceptions of management safety empowerment, management safety justice, and workers’ safety priority and risk non-acceptance still need attention to be improved. Interventions such as ongoing safety training, worker empowerment, strengthening safety communication, and establishing a positive work culture can be made to strengthen workers' perceptions and overall safety climate.
The manufacturing sector is more likely to face challenges in safety implementation due to its high-risk operational nature. Measuring safety climate is essential to evaluate how well safety efforts are understood and practiced by workers. Safety climate reflects employees’ shared perceptions of safety values, policies, and practices in the workplace. This study aims to assess the safety climate among production workers at PT X, focusing on six dimensions: management commitment, safety communication, safety rules and procedures, supportive environment, personal accountability, and safety training, and to identify areas needing improvement. A quantitative, cross-sectional design was used, employing a self-administered questionnaire adapted from Lestari et al. (2020). Data from 81 respondents were analyzed using mean difference tests. The safety climate was rated as good, with a mean score of 5.14 out of 6.00. No significant differences were found across demographic groups, except for perceived management commitment, which varied by length of service. Findings highlight the importance of genuine management commitment in fostering a strong safety culture. However, improvement is still needed in personal accountability and safety training to enhance overall safety performance at PT X.
Rumah sakit merupakan salah satu organisasi yang sangat kompleks yang didalamnya terdapat berbagai jenis tenaga kesehatan dengan perangkat kelilmuan yang beragam dan saling berinteraksi satu sama lain. Pelayanan rumah sakit yang sarat dengan kompleksitas prosedur diagnostik sangat memungkinkan risiko mencederai pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran persepsi serta hubungan karakteristik tenaga bidan dan perawat terhadap budaya keselamatan pasien di RS Budi Kemuliaan. Penelitian dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak Budi Kemuliaan Jakarta, menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan sampel sebanyak 83 orang dipilih secara acak sistematik. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner serta dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square dan regresi logistik ganda dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 54,2% responden memiliki respon positif terhadap budaya keselamatan pasien. Hasil analisis membuktikan bahwa usia (p=0,002), masa kerja (p=0,040) dan unit kerja (p=0,040) berhubungan dengan budaya keselamatan pasien. Usia merupakan variabel independen utama yang mempengaruhi respon terhadap budaya keselamatan pasien. Tenaga kesehatan dengan usia 30 tahun. Untuk itu perlu diadakan pelatihan perawatan dasar secara rutin guna menghindari kesalahan dalam memberikan pelayanan. The hospital is a very complex organization in which there are various types of health workers with diverse scientific devices and interact with each other. Hospital service which is loaded with the complexity of the diagnostic procedure is a very possible risk of injuring the patient. This study aims to describe the perceptions and the relationship between the characteristics of midwives and nurses on patient safety culture at Budi Kemuliaan Hospital. The study was conducted at Budi Kemuliaan Mother and Child Hospital, Jakarta, using a cross-sectional design with a sample of 83 people selected by systematic random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results showed that 54.2% of respondents had a positive response to patient safety culture. The results of the analysis proved that age (p = 0.002), years of service (p = 0.040), and work unit (p = 0.040) were associated with patient safety culture. Age is the main independent variable affecting the response to patient safety culture. Health workers aged 30 years. Thus, it is necessary to hold regular basic maintenance training in order to avoid mistakes in providing services Key words: patient safety, perception, characteristic.
Safety climate is a worker's perception of the importance of safe behavior at work in relation towards policies, safety, procedures, practices, and overall safety interests and priorities. A poor safety climate will be characterized by increased worker stress, poor safety communication, and lack of support thus normalizing unsafe behavior, decreasing situational awareness, and increasing the likelihood of accidents. Safety climate measurements can be used by companies as a leading indicator in establishing / improving existing safety programs. This study aims to analyze the safety climate profile in the support point area at PT X in 2025 based on the dimensions of management commitment, safety communication, rules and procedures, supportive environment, personal accountability, and training. The research design used is cross sectional with data collection methods using questionnaires (primary data). The number of samples analyzed was 118 respondents. Data analysis was used through descriptive and inferential analysis (Mann Whitney and Kruskal Wallis Test). The results of this study indicate that the safety climate profile in the PT X support point area in 2025 is good, with an average score of 5.18. All dimensions measured get an average score of 4.98 - 5.31. The average safety climate score in the age, tenure, and education groups showed significant differences in the dimensions of management commitment, safety communication, and training.
This study aims to analyze the safety climate profile and determine the relationship between personal characteristics and safety climate among personnel at Sector IX of the Fire and Rescue Department, Jagakarsa District. Employing a quantitative approach with a descriptive cross-sectional design, primary data was collected through the Fire Service Safety climate Scale questionnaire from 72 officers using a total sampling technique. Univariate analysis was used to describe the safety climate profile, while bivariate analysis utilized the Spearman correlation test for ordinal-scaled personal characteristics (age group, education level, years of service, employment status, position) and the Chi-Square test and Odds Ratio for nominal-scaled personal characteristics (injury experience). The results indicate that the overall safety climate at Sector IX of the Fire and Rescue Department, Jagakarsa District, is categorized as high (average score 3.88). The Supervisor Support dimension (average score 4.02) is higher than Management Commitment (average score 3.73), indicating a perception gap. A significant positive relationship was found between safety climate and age group (ρ=0.274, p=0.020), education level (ρ=0.325, p=0.005), and years of service (ρ=0.327, p=0.005). Conversely, there was a significant negative relationship with employment status (ρ=−0.304, p=0.010), where civil servants tended to have a lower perception of safety climate. Position (ρ=−0.212, p=0.074) showed no significant relationship. Furthermore, there was a significant relationship between injury experience and safety climate (χ2=14.015, p=0.001), where officers with a history of injury were 20.5 times more likely to rate the safety climate as 'Sufficient'. This study is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the safety climate and its relationship with personal characteristics, as well as contribute to the improvement of occupational safety at Sector IX of the Fire and Rescue Department, Jagakarsa District.
