Abstrak:
Tikus merupakan salah satu binatang yang bisa menularkan penyakit. Berbagai macampengendalian tikus dilakukan oleh masyarakat. Salah satu cara pengendaliannyamenggunakan kapur barus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek kapur barusterhadap konsumsi pakan tikus Rattus norvegicus galur wistar. Jenis penelitian yangdigunakan adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan kapur barus yangdiletakkan berdekatan dengan tempat makan tikus yang kemudian dilihat rata-ratakonsumsi pakan selama tiga hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaanpenggunaan kapur barus terhadap tikus. Hal ini dikarenakan kapur barus yang berupapadatan bersifat lebih sulit atau menguap pada area terbuka sehingga tidak terlalumenyengat indra penciuman tikusKata kunci : tikus, kapur barus, Rattus norvegicus
Rats are animals that can transmit diseases. Various kinds of rat control are carried outby the community. One way to control it uses moth balls. This study aims to determinethe effect of camphor on consumption of Rattus norvegicus wistar strain rats feed. Thistype of research is a quasi experimental study using mothballs which are placedadjacent to a rat's place to eat and then see the average feed consumption for three days.The results of this study showed that there was no difference in the use of moth balls onrat. This is because moth balls in the form of solids are more difficult or evaporate in anopen area so they do not overpower the rat's sense of smell.Keyword : Rat, Moth balls, Rattus norvegicus.

Abstrak:
Skripsi ini merupakan kajian kepustakaan (literature review) mengenai faktor risiko yang mempengaruhi leptospirosis dari segi individu dan lingkungan di wilayah Asia Pasifik. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor risiko lingkungan dan individu yang menyebabkan kasus peningkatan leptospirosis di Asia Pasifik. Skripsi ini menggunakan desain literature review dan dianalisis menggunakan metode kualitatif berdasarkan desain study case control dan cross-sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data sekunder berupa artikel internasional dalam bentuk full text pdf dari database internasional seperti ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Scopus, dan PubMed. Analisis data yaitu deskriptif dengan menyajikan hasil sintesis data penelitian dalam bentuk teks narasi dan tabular untuk melihat perbandingan faktor risiko dari masing-masing literatur. Sebagian besar literatur berasal dari wilayah Sri Lanka, India, Laos, Vietnam, dan Malaysia. Hasil dari kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor risiko yang paling signifikan menyebabkan leptospirosis berdasarkan case-control study ialah jenis pekerjaan di bidang pertanian (OR 4,588), sedangkan berdasarkan cross-sectional study faktor risiko yang paling signifikan adalah keberadan tikus (p value 0,001) dan jenis pekerjaan (p value 0,005). Kesimpulan dari kajian ini adalah jenis pekerjaan dan keberadaan tikus merupakan faktor risiko yang paling signifikan menyebabkan leptospirosis. Hal ini didukung oleh jenis pekerjaan yang tergolong high risk occupational, misalnya bekerja di bidang pertanian lebih berisiko meningkatkan leptospirosis dibanding pekerjaan yang berisiko rendah.

Abstrak:
WHO menyatakan bahwa penyebaran leptospirosis di dunia meluas terutama padadaerah dengan iklim tropis dan sub tropis yang memiliki curah hujan tinggi. Tikussebagai binatang yang dekat keberadaannya dengan manusia merupakan sumberpenularan leptospirosis yang ada di Indonesia. Kejadian leptospirosis diKabupaten Bantul dari tahun 2012 sampai tahun 2015 selalu menduduki rangkingtertinggi apabila dibandingkan dengan kabupaten lain. Disamping tingginya angkakesakitan, angka kematian penderita leptospirosis di Kabupaten Bantul juga relatiftinggi bila dibandingkan dengan wilayah lain di Provinsi Daerah IstimewaYogyakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan faktor lingkungandan individu yang berisiko terhadap kejadian leptospirosis di Kabupaten BantulProvinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta tahun 2016 dengan menggunakan desaincase control. Sampel penelitian menggunakan data penderita leptospirosis diKabupaten Bantul dari bulan Januari-Mei 2016. Penelitian ini difokuskan padafaktor risiko lingkungan serta faktor individu. Jumlah penderita yangditemukan/dilaporkan pada periode bulan Januari sampai dengan Mei 2016sebanyak 34 kasus. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian Leptospirosis diKabupaten Bantul Pekerjaan (nilai p=0,001; OR=7,35; CI 95%=2,290-23,571), ,dan Perilaku (nilai p=0,028; OR=3,43; CI 95%=1,255-9,370), Perawatan luka(nilai p=0,014; OR=3,97; CI 95%=1,426-11,040), Pengetahuan (nilai p=0,015;OR=3,83; CI 95%=1,403-10,477) Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa faktoryang berhubungan dengan kejadian leptospirosis adalah faktor pekerjaan, faktorperilaku, perawatan luka dan pengetahuan.
