Construction worker protection from an accident and occupational illness is a big challenge in the field of occupational safety and health. NIOSH was reporting a set of data regarding number of construction worker and accidents. This prove how important to understand the construction workers characteristic in order to prevent the accident (see detail on page 2). In this Thesis, writer was doing a research to find out the relationship between a set of factors with the worker's perception. Those factors are working experience, origin background, home stay, work motivation, expertise and safety training. The result of this research show that 3 out of 6 factors are significantly influencing worker perception, which are expertise, -origin background and safety training. If we look deeper, external factors are most likely influencing more than internal factors, so that could be concluded that the worker perception is something intervened able.

Pekerja proyek konstruksi PT.
X construction project workers have relatively high work hazards and risks, particularly while working under the COVID-19 pandemic situation. As construction projects must go on, the workers likely have a higher risk of the COVID-19 exposure. When some workers directly or indirectly are exposed to the COVID-19, their jobs are taken over by co-workers. This case results in fatigue for construction workers. Work fatigue is one of the causes of occupational accidents as the fatigue reduces their focus, decision-making abilities, muscle strength, communication skills, productivity, alertness, physical and psychological performance and work motivation. This study aimed to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on fatigue in PT. X workers. This study applied an observational analytic method with a cross-sectional study design. Samples were taken from the total population of foundry workers in construction projects as many as 100 workers. *Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory Questionnaire*. Data analysis with a quantitative approach used univariate and bivariate analysis. Based on the results of the Pearson correlation analysis with a significant level of p < 0.05, variables that had a relationship with fatigue variable were age (p = 0.048), sleep time (p = 0.040), comorbid (p=0.004) and the COVID-19 pandemic (p=0.001)

Human behavior related to safety is an approach to analyzing what isneeded to make the behavior more likely to be safe and reduce risk of behavior(Geller, 2001). Factors affecting work safety behavior are very important to beknown so that these factors can be repaired and improved continuously in order toavoid accidents, whether injury or near miss.Safety aspects of the car service station engaged in the informal sectorindustries, is an essential aspect because there are a lot of conditions orcircumstances that can lead to accidents due to the conditions of informal industryis still highly inadequate and also received less attention from the authorities, theincompatibility plans of employment, poor procedures or organizing work, lack ofawareness of the workers to behave safely at work and also lack of protectiveequipment for workers. This research is a quantitative study with cross-sectional design whereinformation and data collected at the same time through the distribution ofquestionnaires, observations and interviews in 22 car service stations in Depok. The sample in this research are 106 respondents. Bivariate analysis performed byChi Square test. Results of the study, 51,9% of workers behave safely and 48,1% others donot behave safely. Factors that do not affect safety behavior is knowledge.Meanwhile, factors that shown to affect safety behavior are the attitude, workingexperience, availability of SOP (Standar Operating Procedure), availability ofPPE (Personal Protective Equipment), role of supervisor and role of co-worker.Keywords : safety behavior, informal sector, car service station

Fatigue is a multifactor problem often experienced by manufacturing sector workers due to work-related and non-work-related factors as independent variables. This study aims to analyze the relationship between work-related and non-work-related factors and fatigue in manufacturing companies in PT X in 2024. The work-related factors studied include workload, work shifts, long hours, rest time, and travel time. Meanwhile, non-work-related factors studied include age, physical activity, alcohol use, and sleep quality and quantity. This study used a cross-sectional study design, using questionnaires that adapted the OFER-15 questionnaire, workload questionnaire, and PSQI. 96 respondents participated in this study, with a distribution of fatigued workers (medium-high category) of 34.4%. Statistical test results using chi-square showed that work shifts, long working hours, rest time, travel time, age, physical activity, alcohol use, and sleep quality and quantity were not significantly associated with fatigue. Meanwhile, the workload variable was significantly associated with fatigue with a p-value = 0.010 (p<0.05) and OR = 3.500 (95% CI: 1.425 - 8.579), which means that workers with heavy workloads have a 3.5-fold risk of experiencing chronic fatigue. It can be concluded that only the workload variable is significantly associated with chronic fatigue, either acute or chronic. Therefore, follow-up is needed from the company by enforcing the fatigue risk management system (FRMS) and integrating work-related policies, while advice for workers is in the form of sleep management, rest time, and physical activity.
